Natalia "Talia" and Bane
Noble Doberman and Servant Caucasian Shepherd
Natalia was alert suddenly, distracted from the teasing. It was that feeling of being watched. She tried to ignore it, brushed it off as the villagers watching them as they so often did when they came by.
Bane remained calm, he didn't notice anything and usually thought Natalia was just paranoid. He couldn't smell anything past the fish after all. He did see the noble and servant who owned them start to walk off. "Should we follow?"
"No, the guards will go and I'll go insane listening to their trade talks." Natalia looked around for something.
"I know but you're doing that paranoid thing again." Bane started to scratch himself just so he did something.
"Yes, yes I am," Talia caught sight of Astra, though made no move to approach her. She certainly didn't mind the princess, at least she enjoyed her company more than the far too happy king. A fact she has said to his face despite his rank, he laughed it off which annoyed her more. Still she had to wonder why there were no guards around the princess now, had she given them the slip? If so, Natalia liked the princess even more.
The Doberman moved her attention away again though, only catching the glimpse of movement. Now she was curious about that. Bane would slow her down though, "Stay here, I need to check on something."
"Don't you dare pull a stay here on me," Bane started to argue. The very large and muscular dog knew it wouldn't work but he was a nervous guy.
"Just did. Stay here or go make friends with the princess, just pick." Natalia started long enough to watch Bane sit with an unhappy thump. He never sat quite right, always a leg sticking out. Natalia wasn't surprised, when given the option of stay or socially interact without her, Bane always chose stay. "Good. I won't be long." Natalia left to follow the movement she had seen, well track at this point.
Dereth
King Carpathian Shepherd
Dereth walked through the castle, as always a rather cheery guy. His tri-coloured coat of white, silver and black had just been cleaned and dried, sitting smoothly against his body. The deep blue collar on his neck held the royal crest on it, the material itself had been well loved and used, he preferred it over the other options, even over new ones. He'd driven the tanner who made his collars nuts refusing to let go. It wasn't that the others were uncomfortable, but they just weren't this one. This one was special it always was.
Dereth made his way to a window, looking out past the castle, something he did often. Despite his upbeat attitude, the news of dogs going missing worried him deeply. There was never a trace of why it happened, no scents, no signs of a struggle, they were just gone. He hoped they were alive somewhere but how was he supposed to find them? How was he supposed to keep the peace with all dogs when everyone was so close to the edge. He didn't have those answers, no one had ever told him what to do in times of trouble.
With one last look over the kingdom he could see, the town protected by the wall, the gates wide open for all to travel, the fishing villages that supplied daily food, the farm lands and ranches to the east. He had to protect it all. Kind of a lot of pressure for one dog. He left the window, heading off, showing no outward signs of the thoughts running through his head.
What if I fail?Leon
Knight German Shepherd
Leon had been in the guard house, really for only a few hours. He'd taken the night watch on the wall after all. The knight heard the brief growl and opened one eye seeing Angus and Mac. Leon never knew what to think of them, he was able to keep his more pessimistic thoughts internal though, like the fact he could step over them. He was on thin ice as it was after his past of being accused of a crime he did not commit.
The German Shepherd gave a brief nod but then watched Mac, someone clearly had something going on, it was more a question of did it concern him. Despite being a hard working, and honestly rarely sleeping dog, Leon wouldn't say no to a few more hours. At the same time if there was trouble he'd want to be there, so he waited.
Hawk
Archer Husky
There are many questions in the universe, many hard questions that likely will never be answered. Perhaps the most current and strange one was in the forest. It was a simple question but still worth questioning: How did a dog with wings, get stuck in a tree.
This was Hawk's dilemma. Currently his wings were caught on different branches after a hard wind blew him off course and into the thick woods and thus the tree. Each time he tried to pull himself free, it hurt and he stopped. This, was definitely not good, he needed to think of just something to get out. All of his plans were not working. He couldn't retract his wings into his body, they were stuck. His paws were in the air, unable to push against a branch to help. This was bad. The worst part was, if anyone found him, he would die of embarrassment.
