Leopardclaw

Warrior/Male/Crush:None yet/ Tags: None

Leopardclaw walked out of the warriors den. He breathed slowly as he saw the dawns sky. He then padded out of the entrence. He felt how hungry he was. Leopardclaw knew there was a fresh stalk of prey but he decided that catching it would wake him up after his long rest. He was eased and calm by the blow of wind. Leopardclaw sensed the feet of a mouse. He then got into his postion and stalked the mouse. He then pounced on it.

After he made a few catches he brought them back to camp. Leopardclaw picked up a trout he caught as he placed the rest in the fresh kill pile. He clamped the tiny trout in his mouth feeling the blood ooze out. Licking the taces left of the trout he padded to a nearby lake. He felt the cold dense liqud as he lapped. Leopardclaw looked up. Padding to a corner of a tree he sat and looked around.

      Lightwing

She cat;; Warrior;; With Crowpaw and Blizzardstep;;

        Excited by the mere talk of a hunt, she twitched her fluffy white tail low to the ground. Even though it had only been a few days, it felt like she hadn't been on a hunt in forever. Her time recently had been taken up with training Crowpaw and border patrols. Even the hunts she did go on, she didn't usually catch much when her sole focus was explaining. She was thinking that this was a good opportunity for a mini-assessment, to see how much her apprentice had learned in his three moons of 'paw-ship. She was also reminded that she needed to bump up his battle training soon, which she had been putting off. She was a known procrastinator, and procrastinate she did. Crowpaw didn't have near as much battle training as the other apprentices his age, and she intended to fix that. Sometime. Perhaps they could do a group session, set up a mock battle in the training hollow with some other apprentices and their mentors; so she wouldn't have to teach him to fight all by herself. She had grown fond of the little black tom in the time they'd been training together. Having an apprentice had made her realize that sometimes you had to speak up, if you didn't they may go crashing headfirst into the stream or dive into a badger's den. She had thought at first that it would be a pain to get him going or to get him to get anything done- and it was difficult- but it was rewarding. Seeing the look in his eyes when he caught his first piece of fresh-kill, the way his chest fur puffed out when he got to the top of a particularly high tree, they were not only his accomplishments, they were hers, too.
        Lightwing nodded to the toms,
        Right then, lead the way, Blizzardstep. As they started to leave, Lightwing began to whisper to her apprentice. Okay, today, no help from me. I want to see if you can actually catch something. So that's tracking, sneaking, and attacking. That's what I'll be watching. She hoped a challenge would be enticing enough for the young cat.

    Grayclaw watched business go about as usual in camp. Warriors taking their apprentices out to train, the cats that weren't sent out for dawn patrol organizing themselves in hunting parties. Technically, organizing hunting patrols was his job as deputy as well as border patrols, but there was always enough fresh-kill to go around when he left everyone to their own devices. Plenty of cats liked to go out hunting in the morning or early afternoon, and unless there was a legitimate shortage of prey, Grayclaw figured it was best to let the Clan run itself in that regard. It may be a time of peace, but that didn't mean that BrambleClan cats were lazy. Some had fought in the Great War, and the rest had all heard the stories. There was no cat that took these easy times for granted, and it showed.

    From among the cluster of cats organizing themselves for the day came Oakfall and his apprentice, Littlepaw. Grayclaw greeted the other tom with a nod, listening to the senior warrior's plans for the day. "Very good," the deputy replied, always glad to hear a mentor planning to teach their apprentice a new skill. "We haven't had many fish lately, so that will be a welcome change," he added, nodding once more to the tom as he and his apprentice headed out of camp. Grayclaw himself should be training his own apprentice, but it would be some time before Swiftpaw was healthy enough to continue training after his unfortunate accident. Thinking of it, Grayclaw decided to check with Mothwing about his apprentice's recovery.

    Deciding that everything was fine in camp with one last look around, the deputy made his way over to the medicine den, poking his head in the entrance before stopping. "Mothwing, are you here? I came to check up on Swiftpaw's progress," the deputy called, his eyes taking a moment to adjust to the dim light.

    Firepaw finally spotted her mentor's pale tortoiseshell pelt weaving through those of her Clanmates. She was about to spring towards the she-cat, but Cedarshade was already headed in her direction. To her delight, her mentor seemed to have the same idea that she had, and Cedarshade had even told her to choose what type of training! She nodded in response as Cedarshade headed off to bring Daisyclaw a piece of fresh-kill. Firepaw herself did not eat, since they usually caught something on the way out to train anyway. And if not, she still preferred to eat when she was done, since the food would weigh her down and even sometimes upset her stomach if she was particularly overzealous in her efforts to improve.

    Once her mentor came back out of the nursery, Firepaw returned her smile with a flick of her tail, barely able to contain her excitement as Cedarshade asked what she wanted to train on. "I'd really like to train on battle techniques with you today," the ginger-and-white apprentice replied. "I've been practicing some fighting moves with Swiftpaw," she added before her mentor had a chance to respond, "well, he's just been watching really, but he tells me how I can improve my own since he's the best at battle practice out of all of the apprentices." Finally stopping to take a breath, Firepaw waited for her mentor's reply, her paws already itching to get out of camp.

|sʜᴇ-ᴄᴀᴛ|₃₀ ᴍᴏᴏɴs|ᴡᴀʀʀɪᴏʀ|ᴀᴘᴘʀᴇɴᴛɪᴄᴇ: None/Open|ᴄʀᴜsʜ: None/Open|ᴛᴀɢɢᴇᴅ: Sparrowtail|

    Silverwing awoke as the first few rays of sunlight began to filter into the warrior's den. Getting up quietly so as to not wake the other cats that were still asleep, she picked her way out of the den and into camp, letting out a soft purr of contentment as the sunlight, warm even this early in the day, gently heated her pelt. After a quick groom, the spotted tabby she-cat glanced around, looking to see who was around camp. Her gaze fell on Sparrowtail almost immediately, seeing as the other she-cat was just a few tail-lengths away from the fresh-kill pile. Hungry, but not overly so, Silverwing padded up to the dwindling pile and chose a small vole, just enough to satisfy her this early in the morning. The furry creature in her jaws, she headed over to the brown and white warrior nearby, who was eating alone.

    "Good morning Sparrowtail," she meowed around the vole, a wave of her tail signifying a greeting. Although it was not very large, it still muffled her words a bit so the silver tabby decided to put it down for the time being. "Do you mind if I join you?" she asked, hoping her Clanmate wouldn't mind the company. Silverwing quite disliked eating alone, and although she knew not every cat felt the same, it was always worth a try in her mind. A friendly she-cat, Silverwing always preferred to be around others and having someone to talk to whenever possible.

            sparrowtail
            As Sparrowtail took the first bite of her thrush, the familiar voice of Silverwing brought on an inward groan. The silver tabby was very talkative and extroverted, from what Sparrowtail had grown to realize, and seemed to be almost always full of energy, much to Sparrowtail's distaste. " Morning. Uh, sure, I guess. " She muttered quietly, digging further into her prey, an uncomfortable prickling feeling slithering up her back. It wasn't Silverwing's fault - Okay, maybe she was the cause of her discomfort - but Sparrowtail disliked conversations almost as much as she disliked the taste of mice. Why did she have to talk to her clanmates? She could tell how they were simply by observing them, and listening to conversations and gossip. Why bother talking when all a warrior's job is to hunt, patrol, and guard - with the exception of training apprentices. Swallowing two bites of her thrush, Sparrowtail turned her gaze to Silverwing, waiting for the idle chit-chat the she-cat was bound to start.

Snaketooth
♛ Warrior ♛ Tom ♛ Crush:: No Love Interest ♛
♛ Apprentice:: Not assigned ♛ Tags:: Viperheart ♛

Shaking his head as she apologized for him not being placed on the dawn patrol, the tom snorted though the look of annoyance still lingered on his face. 'Do not apologize. You weren't the one who didn't put me on the dawn patrol, so you have nothing to feel bad about." As he listened for the rest of her response, he took the time to clean up the bit of dirt that clung to his shoulder that he had missed before when he had cleaned up his pelt more quickly. A small laugh escaped him as she spoke of being ready to fight anything that would attack the clan, almost seeming to be convincing herself rather than Snaketooth. It amused him at how annoyed she was becoming due to how her body was protesting her being awake by coursing yawns through her every few minutes. Shrugging, he adjusted his paws beneath himself and turned his dark green gaze back upon her as he started to respond. 'I am not worried about it. I trust that if anything attacked the clan, you were perk right up and your body would go into battle mode. I have no doubt about that much. Though I think your body is attempting to tell you that it would be better off with some more sleep, though for you I suppose that isn't an option.' Letting a gruff laugh shake his body, he let a smile of amusement plaster itself upon his face as he began to enjoy the company, distracting him from the fact that he wasn't on the border patrol.

Blizzardstep
♛ Warrior ♛ Tom ♛ Crush:: Lightwing ♛
♛ Apprentice:: Adderpaw ♛ Tags:: Lightwing & Crowpaw ♛

Taking the lead as Lightwing requested, the large ragdoll tom headed to the east where he knew the forest was thickest. This would provide plenty of coverage and was a hot spot for thrush, sparrow, mice, and squirrels which would provide a pretty good selection for Crowpaw to choose from. As the forest floor around them grew more lush and heavy with ferns and brush and gave a little more cushion underneat their paws, Blizzardstep perked his ears in order to listen for chirping overhead or scuttling of paws scratching at the ground. Scenting the air as it grew more heavy with a variety of stale and recent trails of scents from prey, Blizzardstep stopped abruptly and waved his tail to let them know that this is where they would stop and begin to hunt. It was one of his more favorite places to hunt because the trees that surrounded him muffled his movements, and there were plenty of places to hide himself away from any onlooking prey. Ferns and bushes littered the forest floor, and plenty of flowers, herbs, and weeds grew to offer up some ways to mask their scent from their targets that may be nearby. Looking over his shoulder at the slender black apprentice and the fluffy white warrior, he smiled contently as he flexed his claws into the soft dirt below his paws and sighed in pleasure as his claws slid easily into the moist forest floor. 'Alright. Why don't we start off here? There are plenty of birds chirping around this area and there is quite a jumble of recent scent trails that surround the area, making this a pretty ideal place to start. I just hope it isn't too easy for you, Crowpaw, or difficult given the amount of brush that will obstruct your way if you give chase.' Grinning at the thought of a mouse scuttling its way into a bush and easily escaping the other side while the black apprentice gets stuck in the leaves and branches, the fluffy tom turned his gaze onto the forest around himself and breathed in the scents that lingered on the air. Content with what he had analyzed to be nearby by judging the stale and strength of a scent, Blizzardstep took to looking back at the mentor as it was now her turn to instruct her apprentice. 'Your apprentice, so it will be your word on when he may begin.' Dipping his head out of respect, not wanting to take away any of her authority, he clamped his maw shut and let her take the reigns.

Crowpaw
♛ Apprentice ♛ Tom ♛ Crush:: No Love Interest ♛
♛ Mentor:: Lightwing ♛ Tags:: Lightwing & Blizzardstep♛

A little intrigued at the thought of not being lectured about what he should change about his hunting habits, but more being assessed at how he did on his own, Crowpaw perked his ears and nodded with a smile upon his face. 'Oh, you are on! Though, I do want that nap before we have that competition.' A pleasant smile at the thought of getting a nap after the hunt, the tom sank his white claws into the dirt as he padded quickly after the warriors. The pale lighting overhead wasn't quite enough to completely lighten the forest floor as the continued deeper into the forest away from camp. Thin rays of yellow light speckled the forest floor ahead of him, dappling his fur every so often and causing his black pelt to nearly soak in every bit of light that shone onto his fur. Early mornings weren't something he liked to enjoy very often, but today was an exception due to the different circumstances of to why he was out of camp so early. Though he hadn't eaten yet, food and hunger hadn't come to mind as his body was only just fully walking up. When he was in camp, his body was still groggy and his mind wasn't fully functional, so the hunger factor wasn't a thought until now as he padded on through the forest with the sound of birds chirping loudly overhead. It was always the morning that the birds were the loudest, as if mocking the clan for not being out hunting them yet, almost testing their patients till the cats sought them out and shut them up for good. Tail flicking as he thought of the blood filling his mouth with the sweet taste of whatever he caught, the tom grew more hungry and more avid on finding prey quickly just so he could push his hunger out of mind for a little longer. Listening to Blizzardstep's words, he nodded before looking to his mentor for instruction as in his mind, she had the ultimate 'say so' in what was going to occur. Tail flicking as he impatiently awaited her orders, the tom scented the air to assess the scents that filled his nose in order to have a direction and idea of what he would be hunting first. He would surely put all his skills to the test, hoping to impress both warriors with what he had learned and remembered, of course, over the last three moons.

Antleg
♛ Warrior ♛ Tom ♛ Crush:: Not Currently ♛
♛ Apprentice:: Not assigned ♛ Tags:: Ravenwing ♛

Giving a slight shrug of his shoulders as she asked of Crowpaw, Antleg vaguely remembered seeing Blizzardstep, Lightwing and Crowpaw leaving camp only a few minutes ago. Crowpaw was his little brother, born of the same mother and father, and was the one of the few cats that he went out of his way to be sure they were well-fed, feeling well, and getting enough rest. He wasn't sure how Crowpaw was today, but by the looks of it he wasn't very happy about not being able to sleep. This didn't shock Antleg, as he was very aware of how lazy Crowpaw could be and how big of a procrastinator he was also. The midnight black tom was more than likely a pain in the rump to get motivated to train or do chores around the camp without hanging over his shoulder to be sure he worked on it. He almost felt bad for Lightwing, having such a lazy apprentice, though she was probably one of the better cats to be mentoring him, as if it were Blizzardstep, he would probably get away with sleeping in fairly often. Pulling himself back to the present, he pulled his eyes from the entrance where he had let them wander off to, and placed his grey gaze upon the black she-cat that sat next to him. 'Well, I am sure he isn't very happy about being up at daybreak, but he will weasel in a nap before sundown, I'm sure of it. Other than that, I am pretty persistent about his health, so he is doing well in that aspect. I would say the lazy tom has it pretty good right now, as he never had the trauma of the Great War, though he did lose his mother, he has always had me to watch over him also.' Antleg was very protective of his little brother, and that was mainly because of the fact that he lost all the rest of his kin except Crowpaw, and he was determined to keep the family legacy alive. His mind began to wander to the thought of kits, and possibly being able to name them after his siblings, or his parents. It would be nice to have a kit that was the living memory of his kin, though the thoughtful black tom never considered looking for a mate as he had been much to concerned about Crowpaw lately.

Cedarshade
♛ Warrior ♛ She-cat ♛ Crush:: Not currently ♛
♛ Apprentice:: Firepaw ♛ Tags:: Firepaw ♛

As if she knew that Firepaw was going to ask if they could do some battle training, Cedarshade let out a sigh and nodded slowly before forcing herself to perk up and seem happy about the decision. As she listened to her apprentice explain how Switpaw had been helping her verbally, the uniquely colored she-cat grinned in sheer delight that her apprentice had sought out a way to learn about fighting in her free-time. Though this pleased her, just knowing that Firepaw had been determined to learn more enough to seek help, it also disappointed her to realized how much she had been putting off the training. That was going to have to change, as the fiery apprentice was near old enough to become a warrior and was an excellent hunter, but fighting wasn't her forte only because Cedarshade had put off training so often. Forcing herself to commit to it, Cedarshade pushed her muscles to relax as they protested the thought of battle, and nodded in encouragement to her apprentice. 'Perfect! Well, why don't we nip that training in the rump early, and get some hard battle training in then? No need to wait! Lets get going!' Forcing a chirpy and light tone to her voice, she turned toward the entrance and didn't waste any time clearing the distance between where they were talking to the gaping entrance of the camp. Glancing back to be sure Firepaw was following, Cedarshade padded out of the entrance and followed the path to the Apprentice training clearing. Upon arrival, the trail gave way to the open clearing that was lit more than the trail they had just left, almost welcoming their arrival. It would be nice to have the clearing to themselves so that Cedarshade could get in a rhythm and let her mind ease as she got less focused on potentially hurting her apprentice. Though it would never happen, it was always a fear she had from kithood when the disaster happened to her family. Shaking off the thoughts of the past, Cedarshade headed to the center of the clearing and pivoted so that she was facing her apprentice. 'Alright! Would you like to show me what Swiftpaw has taught you, and we will work on anything that needs work. Though with your skill nothing will need fixing, and we will end up moving on to something new to teach you. So why don't you show me what you learned from Swiftpaw, and then we will move on to new moves and strategies. Sound good?' Her body relaxed as she forgot about her families deaths, and was able to allow herself to accept the fact that her apprentice needed to be taught and that it was very unlikely that she would injure Firepaw whatsoever.

Oakfall watched intensely as she leaned over the edge and eyed the water. He himself watched the water but often looked to her to observe her posture and her movements and assessed them to see where she could improve. Watching as she swung her paw suddenly at the water, he glance to what she was doing with her paw and looked as she barely held onto the thick skin of the fish, and lost it momentarily. Nodding in approval, as the large ginger tom was always positive but stern when it came to improving, Oakfall instantly put his mind to work at thinking of any ways he could strengthen her hold on the fish. 'Okay, first, I want you to move back a little bit. You are a little to close to the edge so that your chest is above the water, which you want to avoid. This will put a lot of your weight over the edge and more toward the water, which will also take from the force you are capable of putting into the strike and follow through.' Gently he helped nudge her front paw to where it wasn't too close to the edge. 'That is where you are going to want your front paws, and you want your chest only slightly ahead of them. With that position, you will be able to use the ground more without worry that you will lose your grip and your front paws will give way and send you falling into the water below. This will also give you more stability and when you hit the fish and begin to pull it out of the water, you will be able to use your other leg to brace yourself and pull your entire body upward along with pulling the paw that is holding the fish, which will thus aid in the overall force you are using to pull the fish out of the water. The water may be smooth and objects might move freely through it, but when you pull something out of it, it will work against you and make it harder to take that object out. This is why the fish feels so heavy when you first try and lift it out of the water.' Putting his nose to her shoulder, he pulled back and grinned in approval. 'You did well but I want you to be one of the best at this! I know you can do it. Let's try again.' Nodding, he motioned back at the water and observed his apprentice once again as he tried to see some of the advice he gave her put to action.

Blinking as she saw how far Frostkit had gotten while she was distracted with speaking with Ashstripe, she frowned with concern that she may get could in the short time that she was away from her body. Starting to get up, having nearly forgotten the other three kits snuggled against her body, Daisyclaw felt the slight movement of protest from Beetlekit and the squeal of distress and discomfort from Cloverkit which caused her to instantly put her large form back into the same spot she was. Picking the each kit up one by one, she moved them back to her side, and attempted to keep them from also crawling out of the nest. 'I hate to ask this of you already, Ashstripe, but would you grab Frostkit for me? She isn't exactly the most polite.' Giving a light laugh as she looked down at Beetlekit as he stood up and looked around slowly to where he could see Ashstripe. It was so strange to see her kits able to stand up and wobble with their eyes wide open. In just another week, the kits would be able to walk and would be tumbling around the den like little tornados. In fact, it would be only a few days before that began. They were growing so fast and each was a moon old already. 'In response to what you said, I am certainly happy that you don't think I am a bore! My kits put up with me because as of right now I am their source of food and warmth. By next week, they will be eating freshkill, and leaving me at every moment they get. Then in a few moons, I will hardly keep them in the camp, so hopefully I will be interesting enough to keep them intrigued for at least half of a moon. On another note, I would be happy to have you helping watch over the kits. They will be quite the pawful when they are able to run around and are able to speak their minds. Well.. make sense when they speak their minds anyways. By the looks of it, Frostkit already knows how to speak her mind.' Laughing once again, she licked the three kits whom were at her side and observed the three as they each took their own interests in something different. Beetlekit silently watched Ashstripe with his little yellow eyes, but suddenly started to mew loudly at Ashstripe in protest to not being able to smell nor see him very well from where the side of the nest started to obscure his view. Cloverkit was making her way over Owlkit, pawing her brother in the face as she used it to propel herself forward and toward her mother's front legs.

      Lightwing

She cat;; Warrior;; With Blizzardstep and Crowpaw;;

        Lightwing felt her senses adjust to being outside; picking out individual scent trails, determining one bird call from another. Thrush, robin, maybe a dove somewhere higher up. Her mind instantly focused on the winged prey and her mouth watered. With every step they took deeper into the forest, she felt herself relax a bit more. When Blizzardstep stopped their patrol, she nodded at his choice of hunting ground; there were signs of plentiful prey and the soft foliage underpaw would make it easy to sneak up on an unsuspecting animal. She looked to Crowpaw, who was obviously just waiting for her word before he would take off through the forest like some mouse-killing shadow. She didn't much like being put on the spot, and swallowed before saying, I want you to start at the base of that oak, she flicked her tail to a large tree about four fox-lengths away. Taste the air before you start and make sure you've got a fresh scent before moving on. You may start when you're ready. She nodded at him in a sort of 'good luck' way and turned to face the other tom. Would you like to hunt together, or meet back here? While she didn't mind hunting in pairs, she secretly hoped he'd want to hunt alone.

indentGiving an amused smirk, Viperheart licked her paw, swiping it over her ears, feeling a piece of dirt that must have found its way in the night. While she was genuinely upset she was unable to get more sleep, she was glad that someone could get some amusement out of it, even if it meant being amused by her grouchiness over lost sleep. "I am glad you think so. I wish I could get some sleep, but I'll find a way to function, she chuckled, feeling a burst of joy in her chest as he laughed. Snaketooth was one of the only cats Viperheart trusted, really trusted, in the clan, and to make him happy was enjoyable to say the least. Shaking her head, a low chuckle escaped her lips, green eyes glancing over at the tom. It was strange that he didn't have an apprentice, although she figured he was grateful he didn't. He was a free spirit, living to serve the clan. It was nice to have someone around that felt the same as she. Yawning, the she-cat said, "I've tried everything to help me sleep. Walks at night, drinks of water. Nothing."

Ravenwing

Warrior/She-cat/Crush:Antleg/Tags:Antleg

Ravenwing liked on what a mouthful he said about Crowpaw. She admired how smart and intelligent he was. Ravenwing then thought of how good of a brother he was....checking on his brother, making sure where he went. "That's good to hear." Ravenwing let out a purr. She then remembered how she didn't have any littermates to look after her, and that she wasn't clan born but she didn't let that thought come over her....After all she was talking to her crush a beautiful black tom, so she knew she couldn't burst in tears."H..Hows it like to be a big brother." Ravenwing meowed with curiosity. Ravenwing was eager to know. Her tail then started to sway back and fourth. She thought that he would be the perfect mentor if she was still an apprentice. She thought about here apprentice years when Mudface (her past away mentor) trained her. He was very forceful and scary yet she thought it helped a lot. He taught many things when she told him her thoughts of Clan life he always would advance it for her. She then shook her head and the thought passed. She then looked at the black tom's stargazing blue-gray eyes.

Crowpaw
♛ Apprentice ♛ Tom ♛ Crush:: No Love Interest ♛
♛ Mentor:: Lightwing ♛ Tags:: Lightwing & Blizzardstep♛

Once he was given the 'good to go' from his mentor, he turned away from the two warriors and headed for the oak on his small black paws. His long legs took him swiftly toward the base of the tree, his black form disappearing into the darkness until he reached a pool of light near the base of the tree. Pausing for a moment, his pale yellow eyes scanned the area around him as his ears perked to listen for any indication that prey was nearby. Taking a deep breath, he identified the scent of a mouse and a very fresh scent of vole and squirrel that was only about fifteen minutes old. As his ears swiveled back and forth, searching for the sound of scuttling little paws or the scratch of tiny claws on bark, Crowpaw turned his eyes onto the roots of the tree and noted the small upturned pile of dirt where he assumed either the squirrel had hidden a nut to come back for later. Tail quivering in excitement, he caught the nearby call of a dove on the forest floor, causing his head to snap in that direction and his eyes to narrow as he focused his senses to indicate where exactly the call came from. Being extra careful to keep his paws from making any noise, he avoided any dead branches and headed silently toward the direction of the dove. Angling his way so that he was downwind of the dove, he dropped into a crouch upon sighting the fat grey bird, and crept forward till he was within a few tail lengths from it's oblivious form. Waggling his hunches, he bunched his muscles in his back legs and sank his claws into the dirt so that he would have more to propel him forward when he launched himself at the bird. In a split second, he threw himself forward, back legs propelling him through the air at the plump grey bird. Front paws outstretch, he barely landed on the bird, pinning down its tail feathers which caused it to freak out and flutter in protest with hopes of getting away. Grunting, Crowpaw attempted to shuffle himself forward so he could bite into the neck or back of the bird without losing it, but in the process the bird managed to dislodge its tail feathers from his grip and fluttered away in a panic of feathers. Growing in protest, he raced after the bird and launched himself into the air with perfect form as Lightwing had taught him, but just barely brushed the birds belly feathers before it disappeared into the trees above in a flutter of wings and falling feathers.

Watching silently as Crowpaw hesitated till given orders from Lightwing, Blizzardstep gave a small smile in amusement as to how he waited for his mentor to order him, which merely showed how much he respected Lightwing personally compared other cats. As Crowpaw padded away like a killer shadow, the fluffy brute of a tom watched the apprentice with recollection of his apprentice, wishing Adderpaw was there to give Crowpaw more competition to possibly put the lazy apprentice to some hard work. He would definitely look bad if he didn't try hard next to Adderpaw, as Adderpaw was a very dedicated apprentice and worked very hard, which meant that she would put him to shame if he really didn't work at beating her in a competition. When the shadow of a tom disappeared in some undergrowth, Blizzardstep finally noticed the feeling of eyes upon his pelt and looked to Lightwing to see her looking at him just as she spoke up. 'As long as it is alright by you, I would like to join you in a hunt. I can hunt by myself anytime, but it is rare that I get to hunt along side a beautiful she-cat.' Giving an adoring smile, he waved his tail happily and turned his blue eyes to the branches overhead to the sound of thrush and robin singing their songs to the still chilly morning. 'As long as that is okay be you, of course.' He didn't want to force his presence upon her if she didn't want him to join her, as it was only polite that she was okay with him joining her in a hunt.

A genuine smile continued to curl his lips as he watched the black she-cat swipe a paw over her ear and remain noticeably exhausted due to lack of sleep. Maybe it was just himself and how observant he was of the she-cat, or the fact that he knew her more personally than most cats in the clan did, but he could see the tired look in her eyes and the slight slouch to her posture rather than the way her muscles rippled with energy and strength. Pondering ways that she might be able to exhaust her body or make herself more comfortable in order to sleep for a longer length of time, he gazed thoughtfully at the midnight black she-cat before blinking his dark green eyes and bringing himself back to focus. 'Have you thought of maybe doing some battle work, or instead of walking maybe hunting till your whole body is about to give out? What about noticing any reasons that keep you awake or wake you up? Is it possibly that you are uncomfortable in the warrior den, or around so many cats? Maybe it is too hot, or even too cold where you sleep so that you can't sleep properly..' It honestly concerned the red-brown tabby that the one of his closest friends never slept well, but he never really asked her why she couldn't sleep but always noticed that never slept for long periods of time and was usually exhausted in the morning. Now it interested him and made him quite curious to find the source of her inability to sleep soundly.

Flicking an ear as he observed the she-cat whom was staring directly into his blue-grey eyes, he flicked his tail as he pondered what he truly thought about having siblings. 'Honestly, I love having a sibling, and am sort of glad that he is younger than me and not the same age. Though it would have been nice to have blood related littermates, I didn't mind having Daisyclaw and Blizzardstep as littermates and definitely consider them my brother and sister as they were my littermates from day one. Though, knowing that Crowpaw shares the same parents and blood as I do, is heart warming. I feel more knowledgeable and more capable of protecting him from anything that happens, rather than being the same age and being on the same level in experience and knowledge. My mother loved me and my littermates equally but she didn't get to spend nearly as much time with Crowpaw as she did with Blizzardstep, Daisyclaw, and I. I almost feel bad for the tom, so I am always there for him whenever he needs me and want to be the best brother I can be, because I am all he has left that is actually blood related. He isn't nearly as close to Daisyclaw and Blizzarstep as I am, which is a little disappointing I suppose.' Pausing as he reminded that one of the greatest things he liked about having a blood-related sibling is that he wans't the only one who could carry on the memory of his mother and father, and continue on their bloodline. 'Though I suppose, I kind of like the fact that he shares the same blood because it doesn't just leave me to continue the family line and memory of my family.' Blinking his stormy blue gaze, he waved his tail dismissively as he tried to not think to much about the worry of still searching for a potential mate for himself to even consider continuing the bloodline on his end, while Crowpaw had plenty of time. He wasn't sure why this was a big deal to him, but he wanted to make his family proud by continuing the generations, and not just be the end of their history, even though the clan would continue on. He enjoyed kits and the thought of being able to name them after his mother or father, and being a father much like his father was. His father was an extreme role model in his life and was always encouraging and accepting of the two kits that weren't even his own. He loved them just as much and was always there whenever something went wrong or when they did something memorable. Antleg's mother and father were incredible parents and he wanted to be just as good of a parent as they were, as they deserved to have grand-kits, though they would never meet them alive, they would be able to watch them from Starclan and possibly visit the kits in their dreams. That would be something that would make his parents happy alive or in Starclan, and even more proud if he was even half the parent that they were.

indentTaking a deep breath, allowing her chest to swell with air, the she-cat pondered the tom's questions, going through her head of what she had done in the past. "Well," Viperheart meowed, eyes sliding to meet with Snaketooth's. "The warrior den is very uncomfortable, but it's not that. It's like I'm always on edge, waiting for the next attack." Viperheart let out a soft chuckle, closing her eyes to focus on the sun on her back. It felt good to know that Snaketooth cared about her in a genuine fashion. To know she was cared for by one of the few cats she trusted lit a small fire in her chest, giving a soft smile. "I'm just too tense, I suppose. I'll try hunting tonight, though. Care to join me?" The question was a bold one, but she felt inclined to ask the tom. He had always been so kind, and she thoroughly enjoyed his company. Perhaps it would be a good way for her de-stress and get some sleep.
