Sumia nods when the mare introduces herself. "It's nice to meet you. My name is Knight's Spear, though you may call me Sumia." She nickered. "I'm also alone, I lost my last herd a few days ago..." Suddenly she heard a twig snap and she tensed, pricking her ears. However it was just a rabbit, and Sumia relaxed once she saw that there was no threat. She turned back to Shadow and nickered. "So I know we just met...but is it okay if we stick together...? I don't like being alone and there's safety in numbers..."

Troy looked around, then caught the scent of a mare, he trotted up to her and bumped against her, a little wary, she wasn't in heat right now.

Fire looked up, Troy was nowhere to be found, Hmmmm. . .

Breeze listened to the young horse as he stuttered, but her eyes were on the trees as she searched for any predators that may have heard the colt's squeal. Poor colt was to young to realize that he needed to be quiet as not to attract danger. She could tell the young horse was nervous because his weight shifted from one slender leg to another. She was slightly surprised when she heard the colt's question, "Stay with me? I mean of course!" With a small hesitation she then said, "My full name is Dancing in the wind, but most call me Breeze. How about you? What name do you go by?" Her light colored pelt twitched as she shook off some flies.

Shadow waited patiently for the mare to finish speaking, her dark colored tail gently flicked to wave the flies off of her pelt. When the rabbit ran by she tensed slightly but didn't have much of a reaction. She nodded her head in agreement when the mare suggested they stay together. "I think that would be a good idea, I always like to have the company of at least one other horse while I'm traveling and as you said there is saftey in numbers. Also I'm sorry to hear about your herd, I've only been in one herd before and I didn't like them much so I ran away during a fight between the lead stallion and a bachelor, though I miss them sometimes I'm glad I left."

Star flicked her long tangled tail to ward of the flies, unknowingly spreading her heat scent. Deciding she was comfortable with staying here for a while, she lowered her broad head to graze. Her marbeled tail was still swishing against her side, her pelt twitching. But otherwise she was relaxed and content.

Rose carefully picked her way down the hill into the canyon. With legs as long and delicate as hers she did not want to fall. She turned her head slightly at the stallion's question but said nothing more. It was pretty obvious that she was looking for shelter, but she was done and tired with the fight so when the stallion realized her leading him to safety she calmed down a little. Her dark nostrils twitched at the dust that was kicked up as they entered the canyon.

Aslan inched slightly closer to the mare. He didn't lift his head, in fact he was still grazing. His long striped mane swayed in the breeze as he slightly raised his head to look at the mare. All he could see was her silhouette as he gazed at her. Behind her delicate silhouette was the setting sun casting rays of red and pink around the mare and onto the valley floor beneath him.

"Same here, I don't like being alone..." She nickered. Being alone made her nervous, it made her feel vulnerable to predators. Plus when you are alone there is no one to talk to, being alone was nice at times but Sumia didn't like being lonely and feeling unsafe. She would much rather be around other horses. "I like being in a herd, but sometimes there's just too much drama. I do miss my last herd, I was friends with some of the mares...but the lead mare was super bossy and mean."

When Sumia spoke again Shadow nickered in agreement, "I don't like other horses always trying to control me like mares higher in the herd hierarchy like to do, I'm fine with a relaxed herd, but others I simply dislike." She gave her mane a shake to rid herself of a pesky fly that she could feel crawling on her neck.

>> Judith lifted her head as soon as she sensed eyes on her. The timid mare snorted and took a few steps back as the large, black stallion made his way down the hill. The chapagne mare layed her ears back gently and and lowered her head, clacking her teeth defensively, clearly letting the stallion know that she wasn't comfortable with his presence and to let her have her space. Even though the stallion looked kind, she still didn't trust him. The mare snorted nervously and took another step back, flickng her tail as the stallion stopped in front of her.

The mare clacked her teeth more and this time nipped out at him as he moved closer, this time making her wishes very clear that she did not want the stallion moving any closer. The mare had no intention of following this stallion. The mare took another step back as he started circling her and she gave a little buck in disapproval of his actions. As she heard another voice coming over the hill, Judith knew it was time to go. The mare snorted, laying her ears back once more and nipped at him once, before turning on her heels "I appreciate the invitation, but i decline. I have no intention of following anyone.. Especially brutes who throw their weight around upon the first meetings.." she said simply before turning fully and trotting away, tossing her mane moodily.

Fire spun on her heels, You did WHAT? You were throwing your weight around? You were a brute? Fire asked angrily. She glared at him until he sputtered, I- I- I-. Just. he hung his head. Fire lifted her head and stalked away, glaring. Troy followed her, head hanging and trotting to keep up. Even with his head down, he was almost at eye-level with her.
