- lydia's mother had had enough of ghost's whimpering and had let the shar pei out. lydia had, of course, protested, but regina would have none of it. their yells made ghost confused, and when lydia finally told him to go outside for a bit—a command the loyal shar pei followed, despite his misgivings—the older woman closed the door behind him, which only made the poor creature more anxious.
his ears were down, tail tucked between his legs, and the whites of his eyes were showing clearly. he made a hurried, clumsy lope along the halls, wondering if there were monsters chasing after him. his overactive imagination made him run faster and faster until he nearly crashed into raven. ghost squeaked, whining, "don't hurt me, pleeeaaaase!"

- the rottweiler snorted at blaze's reply. "yes, in fact, i do believe you are daft enough to throw yourself into the churning ocean and possibly drown," she countered lazily, lifting her head up high. if the female decided to attack, the rottweiler was sure she could hold against the kelpie. being a fighting dog in the past did help to resolve arguments.
sometimes.
at another dog's voice, the rottie was quick to stand up and face juliet. nico didn't reply, but her eyes did catch sight of mika sitting some way off. like the dogo argentino, nico recognized mika as one who fought in the ring. she, however, was not interested in making friends and having a conversation, nor did she want to bring up the past, so the rottweiler just nodded in acknowledgement.
