Nyx was not used to others taking command, but assitance was all but unwanted. He grinned and nodded " That is alright Cyas." He brushed away some small debris from the center of the den. Clearing him a spot to sleep. He positioned himself across from Cyas. Allowing each of them to gain heat from the other but not as to invade her own space. He pawed to his spot and circled a few times, pondering exactly what would be comfortable right now. After about the third turn his lowered himself to the hollow ground and wrapped his tail around his paws. Though this position did not last long at all. As he began to dift to sleep, his muscular body turned to its side and his legs sprawled out. True comfort.

The alphess looked at Arlyael as he approached her with the rabbit and walked away. She in no way was about to say thank you, but her aching stomach was grateful in some unapparent way. She let out a shallow growl and grabbed the rabbits head in her jaws while stepping her paw on the body. Rapidly causing the rabbits to rip in half. It was gruesome, but she had no problem with it, it was already dead..right? She torn small pieces of the flesh off a little bit at a time until it was almost completely gone. The only part left was one of it hind legs. She looked at Arlyael and thrashed her head back with the leg still in her jaws. Swiftly she threw her head forward releasing the leg and allowing it to fly towards Arlyael. SMACK, it hits him on the back of the head. "Here..." She grumbled and turned away. She wouldn't want anyone to think she was being generous of anything.

Cyas was comfortable curled in a ball. She quite liked the warmth of her own body, but the warmth that Nyx gave off was not unwelcome. She let out a shaky breathy sigh. Arlyael yelped loudly as a leg hit his head. He wheeled around with a whine and did not dare to say a thank you, fearing he would appear weak. He ripped into the leg of the hare. The small amount of good was in fact quiet enough for his thin body. He swung his head around to said Aphrodite and Amyntas "Is anyone hungry right now, I can hunt..." He said easily

Nyx spread his body out even farther, stil in the middle of a deep sleep. His tail whipped around and landed so that the tip was brushing against Cyas's leg. He would never notice this though because he was still running wild in dreamland.
The dusk was approaching quicker than anyone could have expected. It would not be long before the wolves would awake again.

Ares smile grew wider as she heard a cowardly yelp. The wolf offered to hunt for the rest of the pack. She began to think about thier situation for a moment and as anger filled her heart again at the damage that had been done to her home. She wondered over to the three of them. "Why don't me and you go hunt, if they want to follow they can.." She barked at the male beneath her. She was up for a good kill and the rabbit was not going to last her through out the coming sun.
She took off behind the den and entered through the thick of the aspens.

Willered was out in the rain drenched forest several leagues from the camp, looking for a suitable place to gather grasses and small shrubs, when he came across a clearing. The clearing was surrounded on all sides by pine trees and was bountiful in bracken and shoulder-high grass. He set down the 'equipment' he had been carrying, a simple contraption he had put together a few hours before he left, two antlers from a bull elk connected by an assortment of twisted creeper-vines and grass wrapped around the ends of the antlers to be drug through the grass. He inspected it, tugging on a few places to make sure they were secure. He searched around the edge of the clearing and found a decent sized rock and began rolling it over the grass in a crossing pattern tangling them so the antlers could rake the grass up. By the time he was finished it was almost nightfall and he had dragged in an elk-sized pile of grass and shrubs for the dens.

"I'll follow, then." She made a small dip of her head. She followed the Alphess through the thick aspens, making sure to always keep behind her. She pushed her snout lower to the ground in attempt to sniff out any prey. She was also hungry, but knew that she would have to go for a smaller portion if they found something big, like elk or caribou. She scented stale rabbit, and assumed that it had been the one the Alphess had eaten, caught by one of the brute hunters.

Cyas slept peacefully. Though something woke her earlier than normal. She got up, leaving the den to go outside. It was just last light. She let out a loud sigh and a yawn. Blinking at the multicolored sky that haunted her. Had the sky looked like this on that day? When her mate, Onnal, had come to her and told her that her son had died? Poor little Ruque hadn't even had the chance. And he had looked just like Cyas too. Her only child. Killed by a kick to his side. She frowned at the sky. She thought about Ruque a lot

Arlyael followed on swift paws. He was always very fast, his strength. He sniffed the air carefully. Wanting to see if any deer were around. He smelled only old scents and the scents of smaller animals. He sighed and caught up to Ares easily. His slender frame loping gracefully on golden paws. He snuffed loudly to clear his nose. Begging for the scent of deer to hit it, to impress his Alphess to make up for his ridiculous lack of physical strength

The rustling of the leaves under Cyas's paws startled Nyx just enough for him to awake from his sleep. Though he did not move, he only opened one eye. He watched the wolf walk to the entrance and look out at the sky. He turned his head to follow her with his gaze. He could tell that she was not the normal wolf that he was used to. His paws stretched his legs out and rose to an idle stand. He watched her and he could feel something was not right. "Are....Are you ok?"

Her trot turned into a canter as she looked to her flank, noticing the brute keeping pace with her. Not many could do this, but it took a great deal to impress her even the slightest. She kept her ears peeled for even the slightest noise. The horizon had just a touch of light starting to appear, turning the mountain line a hazy blue. Little did any of the wolves know that her nose was almost completely useless. It hardly picked up anything and was damaged. She relied solely on her eyes and ears. She kept moving before a light rustle froze her in her tracks.

Cyas turned her head to see her alpha and smiled sadly. She gave a little shrug of her shoulders and sat down on her haunches. "I'm just remembering my son. And my daughter. But mostly my son." she said quietly. She hadn't really told many about the tragedy that struck her yearling child a few years ago. She always thought it would make her appear weak. Too fae like. She was no fae, she was a warrior. She wasn't supposed to have real feelings, she was supposed to be hard and made of stone. But sometimes, when the time was fit, her cold heart would warm and she would think of her summer son

Arlyael looked to the rustling, the pungent smell of deer hitting his extremely sensitive nose. He swiveled his body carefully and dropped into a crouch. Slowly and carefully lowering his body to the earth and stalking toward the noise. He held his tail up slightly, but down enough to show that Ares should wait. He slowly and carefully went through the brush to see a young buck. He angled himself just right to the point where if he jumped, he would land on the deer's neck, not head. He stepped back and jumped. The deer looked at him, too startled to run. He sunk his teeth into the neck of is buck and dragged it down with his weight. Pulling its throat out and causing some blood to rain on him a bit. Always fun. He shook it off of course, happy with his results

He had been abandoned there in the woods a few weeks after birth. But now he was a bit stronger and older. Just a bit more cleaver and a bit more stable. But he knows nothing of his life. He is usually down when others are not around him, keeping to the back and slinking around in the shadows. But around other wolves, it was a whole 'nother story. Around others, he is just the funny kind of guy. He doesn't argue with fact that he knows is right, and can usually win a fight. By words...But he wanted something more. Something to do. Not just this life of the pack. And he had absolutely no liking to their Alphess. God, he would never be like her.
