Smokey padded around slowly, stoppinig every few steps to smell the air. He was very tired and hadn't ate anything in two days. I hope I can find something to eat, he thought. Yesterday he was looking for food but met a raccoon instead who nearly clawed his only eye off. He shivered at that memory.

Just as Ospyte, Cyncia, my kits and I were getting settled, I scented yet another cat. "Cyncia, Ospyte, will you do me a favor and take care if my kits while I find the newcomer and figure whether he means harm or not. Take good care!" I mewed. I waited to see if Cyncia wasone to care for kits, or not. I hadn't met her very well yet. "Although if one if you comes with me and the other stays, that'll be fine. Anything that means my kits aren't left alone. Like if one if you wants to hunt, that's fine too, just not both of you..."

Smokey
Smokey opened his mouth and scented the air. He smelled a familiar, delicious smell. Wait..could that be..mouse? he thought as his stomach growled. He padded softly toward the scent and finally saw the mouse on top of a trash can. He lunged forward but the mouse was too fast. It ran off into the shadows. Stupid mouse, Smokey thought. He went over to the shadows and lay down, hoping the mouse would be stupid enough to not notice him and come out.

He crept down a dark alley, the scent of other cats filling my nostrils. He curiously padded towards the scents. He wanted to let them know he was here, but was afraid of how they would act. He carefully placed his paw down and peeked around the corner. He felt a sneeze coming. He wasn't thinking and let it out. He snarled quietly at himself noticing what he did.
