↱------Cyncia followed behind Red, keeping up quite easily as she was used to traveling these kind of distances. She stood quietly as Red went about getting a few things, and flinched slightly as the honey was smeared into my throat, but didn't object and watched as they went about her with a slightly confused expression, thats an odd way to heal a cut, wonder where she got it from, She thought, and nodded when Red was finished. She couldn't feel the scar anymore, and when she attempted to speak she broke into a coughing fit, Darn it, I haven't spoken for so long, this hurts! She wined in her thoughts, but showed no sign of discontent on the outside. When she stopped coughing she attempted to speak again, "Th...Thank..." She paused to cough again, "Y-You" Her voice was raspy and not very clear, but still soft as it had once been before she was mute.------↲

"You're welcome. May I ask what your name is?" I inquired. I shuffled around. "Oh, oops. I forgot one itsy bitsy thing." I smeared the orange liquid I had on my nose onto the outside of her neck. "Thus will help with the coughing, and relieve the pain you're probably feeling," I told her. I remember moments ago when I had dripped it on the inside of it. I shuddered. That was my least favorite part of being a medicine cat. "Now, Osprey and... err... my patient, I would like to tell you something. I am a wanted criminal, and by staying with me any longer, you are risking your lives. Understood? Ok. Now, who wishes to stay, and who will flee?" I asked. I waited for them to answer, or to simply run away. I hoped they would both stay so that we would get to know each other. Both cats seemed to have a lot of potential. "If you try to speak," I told the once mute she-cat. "You will still have a scratchy voice. Ok?"

Cynica nodded, then spoke again, the pain easing now, "C-Cyncia" She replied, Oh thank you, Finally I can talk again! She listened and had a shoked expression, "D-Danger is my l-life, I won't run" She said stubbornly.

"Okay, good. I'm guessing Ospyte will still stay also. So, Cyncia, would you like to hold one of my kits?" I asked. I nudged my youngest kitten, Cattail, toward her. I licked her between the ears.

Cyncia looked at the little kit and smiled in a friendly way, "H-Hello little o-one" She said in the same raspy voice, her two toned eyes showing the soft and friendly emotion she was feeling at that moment.

I squirmed. I sensed something touching me. I squealed. I wrinkled my eyelids. I opened one. The light was bright. I shut it. It was dark. I didn't like dark. I opened the other eye. The light was bright. I shut it. One was blue. One was yellow. I opened both eyes.

Cyncia looked at the kit curiously as it opened one eye, then the other, and then both. "H-Heterochromia" She said, noticing that the kit had two toned eyes like she did, almost the same colour as well. She looked up at Red and back at the kit, "Wh-Whats her n-name?" She asked, flicking her tail gently.

"Cattail," I answered. "How'd you know-" I stopped mid-sentence. My kit had opened her eyes for the first time! Little Cattail had Heterochromia! "Oh, Cyncia! You are so lucky, you saw my youngest kit open her eyes for the first time!" I squealed like a kit, I was so delighted. Cattail stared up at me, her mismatched eyes sparkling. She looked just plain sweet. I nuzzled her in the way a cat does when she feels motherly.

Cyncia smiled, watching from where she was, "M-My luck seems t-to be getting m-much better today," She purred softly. "I-I'm so happy f-for you, y-your kits all l-look h-healthy and i-in good c-condition" She mewed in the raspy voice, Its better than having no voice at all, she thought, still purring but it cracked a bit, as if her purring stopped and started at random times.
