Cinis
Whinnies reached Cinis's ears, and he increased his pace to a light canter. He slowed to a walk when he could see the scene clearly, hoping to stay unnoticed. The mare and her foal looked nervous, he decided that he would help her out if needed. The other stallions didn't seem hostile, so Cinis let himself relax slightly. He kept as still as he could, seeing as his dark coat was incredibly obvious. Smelling like smoke, even faintly, was very handy- the gnats didn't bother him much. Taking another slow step forward, and then another to the side, Cinis angled himself downwind, even if the breeze was faint. His eyes still were not quite adjusted to the bright light, as he liked to be out at night. Flicking his tail once, he focused on the scene playing out below.
Soumraku
Soumraku perked his ears at the sound of a whinny, but continued toward the stream. He kept careful note that the hoof-steps of Cheerokee were still following, as she tended to wander off. Ducking under a particularly low branch, he pushed through some bushed, careful not to fall in the creek. As he ducked down for a mouthful of water, his ears caught the sound of movement. Deciding it would do more help than harm, he whinnied he thought sounded like a greeting. He supposed hostile equids could take it as a warning, but that wasn't his intention. Cheerokee perked her ears with confusion and he pointed towards the sound of movement with his tail.
