Celtic Knight
Knight watched the mare quietly, effectively keeping up with her. He was slightly injured too, but the mare had already been weakened when she fought him, so the hurt wasn't much. The mare ran till, when reaching some trees, she stopped, though she didn't give up. She quivered, weak, and Knight watched carefully. All this work for one mare... He could definitely see why some stallions chose to join the large herd. Although, it didn't really feel right. Stallions were supposed to work and earn their mares, after all.
As she started to groom herself, Knight first watched her, before deciding she wasn't going to suddenly start attacking. She was weak, right now, and he didn't wish to injure her further. Knight looked on watchfully, though he almost rolled his eyes when he found that her rump was to the tree. As if he was going to cover her. No, he was just an extension of the main herd. One of the chess pieces of Titan, for the herd leader to mobilize when required, though he was definitely a lot of a lone wolf, with his own thoughts. His loyalty to protect the herd he grew up in was the same, and though desires pulled him other ways, he definitely wasn't going to leave.
As the mare cleaned herself, Knight took care to position the few wounds he had under the water that was falling from the trees, cleaning them gently. He didn't want an infection, after all. But then the mare's voice came, clear, curious. Why? Knight wondered as well. If he'd really been for the herd, he would have ran with the herd, letting the mare go and just getting reprimanded later for letting a mare slip past the herd's grasp. It wasn't as if he hadn't been scolded before. But he'd run after, and his determination to get her was powerful. Instinct? Somehow or other, that didn't seem right. He didn't know. Knight mulled it over for a while, the smouldering reddish pelt seeming to die down a little, though it never really went out. Thinking for quite a while, Knight finally answered, his voice coming out clear and rough, from unuse. "You intrigued me." He admitted simply. That couldn't really fully explain his drive, but until he knew himself, this was the best answer he could give.
