Everyone tells you that the past matters; that the past was only a series of building blocks that would eventually construct your life. But the past has never mattered. The past is the past for a reason, and whatever has happened, whether it be long ago or recent, should be forgotten. That's what these wolves believes. It happened, somehow. You ended up in one of the many forests of Virginia, feeling as if you were a lost cause. And maybe you were. All you knew was your name, not your purpose; maybe your history was even a mystery. But again, what matters is that you were still alive. And again, it happened- somehow. You were accepted into the Morning Sky wolf pack, and given a warm welcome. They were accepting; friendly.
Things have gone relatively well since then, aside from the fact that you've noticed that your fellow pack members have a shifting demeanor, depending on the season. In the winter, tension fills the atmosphere, and most wolves are at the end of their patience. In the spring, the birthing of new pups is often a common occurrence, and while new pups bring joy, they also mean more mouths to feed. These are just a few examples of the everyday life of a pack member; but with the humans expanding their territory and the seasons working against the luck of the pack, it's becoming increasingly to maintain a stable and healthy pack.
The Morning Sky wolf pack is a relatively large wolf pack, making them all the more strong and vulnerable at the same time. With more wolves, there is more protection; but more pups and elders to attend to as well. The pack is loyal, and each wolf respects the pack alphas, and as indicated earlier, they don't focus on the trivial details of what's previously happened; they've learned the hard way that a wolf's past actions don't determine their morals. And while these are friendly and non-judgmental wolves, they also have the ability to shift into a mode of ferociousness and unlikely strength. They are strong fighters, and due to their loyalty, they would do anything to protect their loved ones. The Morning Sky wolf pack does not take well to traitors.
But soon, the question will appear that all wolves have been wondering; does the past matter after all?
