(Soooo sorry I haven't posted! I have been out nonstop all weekend. Funeral on Friday, Baby shower on Saturday, I was supposed to have church this morning, but I am sick. Bleh. I tried to post like four times on my dad's smartphone on Friday, but it kept deleting it, them things are annoying!)
Ibadi dipped his head in response and rose, shaking out his pelt gently. He turned, tearing his gaze from the now lone Amber, and headed off into the shrubs. He flicked his ears as he listened and watched the goings-on of the territory, a pair of canaries flitting after one another, a snake slithering off into the grasses, a large lizard fleeing into a tree; everything was as it should be. He approached the edge of the territory and selected a bush, spraying it to let rivals know that this was theirs, then continued down the border doing the same at regular intervals.

Xavi froze as the movement outside stopped. She tried to get a glimpse of the stranger through the branches, but to no avail. She scented the air one more time, cursing herself for being dumb enough to hide instead of running away, then slowly began to edge her way out the bush backwards, separating the two lions with a thicket of brambles. Keeping her head low, she shimmied her way out of the twigs, snapping many a branch in the process, and after a moment crouched behind said bush.
