So, I've been working on making this RP for a good two weeks now, trying to iron out all the kinks and whatnot, and this is what I've ended up with. Some things may sound a bit odd because my idea has changed over time, but the main idea has, for the most part, remained the same.

There are many kingdoms spread over this land, each with its own ruler and its own list of rules and laws. No two kingdoms are the same; each one is different. But that's not always how it used to be. A long time ago, there used to be a single massive kingdom that ruled over this land, but the ruler was corrupt, mad with power. He stole from his own people, killed them, exiled them to the forest to be left as prey for the fierce wildlife. This went on for decades because the people were frightened, scared, for if a single commoner were to act out, they would immediately be silenced by one of the King's many guards. But one day, they had had enough, and decided that they would live in fear no longer. They revolted, and war broke out between the King and his people. It was a gruesome war, and the kingdom slowly crumbled as hundreds of lives were lost. But eventually, the King was killed, and the revolting people had won. After his death, the King's army had either joined the side that won, or had died defending their king.
Since the King had been killed and the previous form of government had fallen, the people realized that they needed a new ruler. Many civilians applied for the position, each offering their own take on what should be done and how to rebuild the society. There were many arguments as people began to take sides, until eventually they had all just decided to go their own ways before another war broke out. The ones who had gotten the most followers went out and tried their own luck at creating their own kingdom. Most of them failed within a few months, but there were nine that were successful. They built their own kingdoms, and created their own laws for their own people to live by. They were prosperous.
And almost two centuries later, those kingdoms are still thriving. However, it is not uncommon to have fighting between two or three of the kingdoms, as territories had never been marked properly. Some of the kingdoms end up fighting more than others, as they may have a deep hatred for a certain rival, while other kingdoms may be very friendly and welcoming toward their neighbors.
Once a year, a massive party is held in celebration of the defeat of the corrupt king and in each kingdom gaining its independence. All the Kings, Queens, Princes, and Princesses gather together, along with a few chosen royals and common folk from their kingdom, at the castle of the ruler who will be hosting the party. Map
Description of Territories
- *1 (Dowem) - A kingdom located in the northernmost part of the map. It sits high up in the snowy mountains, overlooking the rest of the land.
*2 (Reserved) - Located deep in the thick forest, this is a sturdy kingdom with thick stone walls.
3 - Surrounded by thick pine trees and located in a swamp-like area, this is one of the smaller kingdoms. It had a few problems 200 years ago when it was trying to survive on its own, but now it's doing just fine.
*4 (Skarleth) - With a sparse forest to the south and a mountain range to the north, this kingdom sits out in the open.
*5 (Solustio) - This kingdom holds the most history of all the others, as this one was built over the remains of the kingdom from two centuries ago. Although not as large as its precursor, it's still of great size. Miniature mountains and rivers lurk on either side of the kingdom. The land here has been permanently damaged from the war, with barren grounds lacking grass.
*6 (Tearid) - Sitting on the edge of a river, this kingdom has no trees to cover it, but a small forest is near.
*7 (Olimeth) - This kingdom sits near the sandy shore of a proper beach. This is one of only two beaches on this land that have clear and temperate water. All of the other beaches are littered with sharp stones or the water is too cold for any use to come out of it.
8 - With a massive freshwater lake on one side and the great sea on the other, this kingdom has the best of both worlds. The other beach on this land is located here, on the southernmost part of the land.
*9 (Luminatra) - This kingdom is located on an island separated from the land. A thin bridge connects the island to the mainland. It is covered in thick forest and surrounded by saltwater, but has a small pond within the forest.
