Galefeather woke with a start.
She had overslept, and it bothered her. She hated to start off the day already feeling self conscious that she had slept longer than most of the other warriors, but what could she do. She let out a yawn, before sitting up, giving her self a very quick bath, and moved out of the warriors den. She passed Sparkfeather, and Leopardmoth noticing their attention was set on something else. She looked over towards where the small meeting had begun to take place. Unlike they grey tom, she was curious and always the one wanting to be in the loop, and the middle of things she headed in the direction of her leader, deputy, and fellow warrior.

Viperpaw smiled at her jolly approach, remembering that she wasn't long a warrior - he could remember his first training session was with her. "Hiya to you too," he chuckled, listening to her intently and sensing her impatience. Viperpaw shook his head slowly, "No - he wasn't in the den when I woke up either, and it doesn't seem like hes blessing us with his presence in camp either." Viperpaw smirked slightly, licking his paw and rubbing it over his whiskers.

Sunpaw's tail tip twitched back and forth as she picked a small rabbit as her choice of prey this morning. She saw Snowleaf come bounding into the clearing, looking worried, and both Pikesplash and Sapphirestar go to talk to the warrior. She settled down with her rabbit a few tail-lenghts away from the fresh kill pile, taking a bite. She looked back up at her mentor, leader, and the warrior again, a part of her wanting to know what they were talking about while the rest of her really could care less. The apprentice wasn't too interested in what they were discussing because she assumed it was most likely something she would hear about in a Clan meeting later. She turned back to her breakfast, hoping it wasn't anything too important and wouldn't last too long so she and Pikespalsh could go and train.

"Im going to leave to you, we need to get some patrols going," Pikesplash mewed with an apologetic glance, "let me know if you need me though."
He padded in to the centre of the camp, gazing around at the warriors and apprentices. "Brackenheart, Sparkfeather and Tanpaw are to go on a hunting patrol..wait, where is Tanpaw?" he grumbled, "is he still in his nest?"

Snowleaf was out of breath and collapsed 5 tree lengths away from camp. Her voice scratched and her legs ached. How... far had she gone to see the mouse? Was she already out of borders so it didn't matter? Was she poisened? She honestly didn't care. Something was outside the border, or someone, and it could invade. Struggling up, she limped to camp. Once through the entrance, she stared around for Sapphirestar. She exhaled and inhaled heavily and sat down, licking herself clean. Her neck and almost all the bones in her body ached. "Viperpaw? Sapphirestar?" she called.

Resisting the urge to mutter 'some cat's might disagree with that' underneath her breath at Winterpaw's comment of not being an idiot, she sent Tanpaw a bit of a sympathetic look, noting his discomfort. She did feel for the other cat, always having the urge to be a tad kinder to him than her other clanmates due to his more timid nature. At the moment, she was even considering letting the pair go it alone after all, if only to help the other apprentice a bit. Winterpaw's comment dropped that idea rather quickly. Rainpaw let out something between a snort and a sharp laugh, finding so many things to pick out and draw attention to in that statement she didn't know where to start. "Did some of those herbs go to your head? I'm a medicine cat, not a miracle worker. If you get yourself knocked off this 'cliff' of yours, I can't exactly bring you back from Starclan." Still, she jumped up onto the rocks after him, trotting behind the pair of brothers and taking the time to observe her surroundings. Despite how close it was to their camp, the she-cat hadn't been around these parts much, never really seeing a reason to.
Scrambling up the rocks after Winterpaw proved a tad more difficult than she had first anticipated, and she found her bi-colored gaze staring after him in something she might never admit resembled awe as he nimbly jumped from stone to stone. "And he does this on a regular basis?" Rainpaw hissed, more to herself than Tanpaw. Finally heaving herself up onto the edge and flopping down next to Winterpaw. Following his gaze, she tried squinting her eyes as well, in an effort to see what he was trying to achieve. Everything just came up blurry. Giving up, she turned to watch the white tom as he spoke, an unreadable emotion swirling in her gaze. A different cat might have chastised him for the question, told him never to think of such things. Heck, on any other day, Rainpaw might have chastised him for it, but there was something in his tone, the way he was looking out into the woods that made her hold her tongue. Instead she kept quiet, turning her attention back to the scene in front of them. Her father was a loner, so in actuality, she had thought of it before. "I think every cat does. Secretly, of course. That's why they're all so quick to hush you if you speak about it- they don't want to let on about their own desire." She shrugged slightly, rising to her paws. "And they don't want to admit their own want for it because they know just what every cat is taught- the clan comes first."

Calling out a good morning to Galefeather as she past, Sparkfeather made his way over towards the fresh-kill pile, his attention momentarily taken off their leader and deputy. A small smirk formed on his muzzle as he noticed the white she-cat trot right up to the group he had just been discussing with Leopardfeather, getting a kick out of her audacity. He could respect the she-cat for that, almost having done it himself when he first exited their den. Time made you wise, though, and he always knew how to stay just on the border of trouble. No use in intruding on a conversation he could hear all about later on. The older cat had just managed to pick out a plump looking rabbit, one he wouldn't mind sharing with his current partner in conversation, when Pikesplash called him for a hunting patrol. "Isn't that always the way." He sighed, dipping his head apologetically to Leopardmoth. "Feel free to eat this yourself." The cat added, pushing the rabbit over towards the other tom before trotting over to Pikesplash. At the question, he merely huffed. "Probably where he always is, glued to his brother's side." He pointed out, as more of a general observation than an insult.

The young leader watched as the warrior collapsed to the ground before she could reach her. She bounded over to check to see if she was alright. "Are you alright snowleaf?" She asked worriedly. She sat down and waited for an answer. {{ WB sorry }}

Snowleaf let out a breath she'd been holding and struggled to sit up. Her fur was clean and shiney, and her eyes shone with worry. "I don't... remember where but I know the general direction..." she took a deep breath. "Either some loner or rogue is stealing prey. I found some torn up prey, sloppily killed and left to rot... near the border..." snowleaf's tongue was dry and her bones ached from just sitting up. Closing her eyes, she slowed her breathing and opened them. "I can show... you where..." Snowleaf took breathes in between almost every other two words.

Ravenpaw padded out of the apprentice den, her eyes wandering over the bustling cats. Once again, she seemed to be the last one up and on her paws. Everyone seemed occupied. Her gaze wandered over to Leopardmoth as Sparkfeather left him on his own. Seeing that the tom was now on his own, she made her way over to him. "Hey Leopardmoth," she smiled, seating herself in front of him. She curled her tail around herself and allowed it to rest on her paws.

She had worriedness in her eyes. "Let me find a warrior to come with us then you can show me where." She walked over to Pikesplash. "I need to take Sparkfeather with me somewhere if you don't mind." She knew Sparkfeather was a strong fighting warrior and if they came into any trouble he was the best fro help defend the clan.
