The large black brute watched closely as the rabbit he had attempted to catch before sniffed the air. He had been chasing the creature since early that morning. Never a good hunter this was Jericho's tenth attempt to catch the rabbit. He hated waiting, he wanted things to happen right away, waiting wasn't exactly his best trait. He was so hungry now though waiting was the only thing that would get him his meal. As the rabbit went back to digging around in the snow he jumped leaping over the bush he had been behind and landed close to the prey. To shocked to run the rabbit stood there a moment to long, Jericho used this against the rabbit and quickly killed his meal. He smiled to himself. Well that was a new record, last time it had been 15 tries. Yes he kept track, he wasn't sure why but it gave him something to work towards. He settled down to enjoy his meal, the snow cool on his stomach. As he finished he licked the bones leaving nothing behind. He licked his paws clean of blood, not that anyone would see it on his pitch black coat, then he got up stretching his legs. Better head back to camp, when one was gone to long some wolves got to talking. And when other pack members started talking rumors were spread.

Jericho entered camp and sat down near his favorite sleeping spot, which happened to be out in the open rather then a den. He glanced around and saw Vairen talking with Astra. He gave a small smile and his heart sped up just a little as he watched Astra. She was defiantly one of the most beautiful fea he had seen in a very long time. Sure she may be called "sick" or harsh by some, but you had to admit she was good at what she did and she didn't care what others thought. So he admired her for that. He often thought about starting a conversation with her, they hadn't talked in a while. But he thought better of it, best wait till she came to him. Maybe he would find someone else to talk to.

[So sorry for not posting there was a storm and then my internet wouldn't work so I definitely will post today D: Hmm Astra would definitely rather talk to Jericho than an omega so if you don't want them to talk just yet I'll just pretend she doesn't notice him?]

After a few moments Astra noticed the omega relax slightly from her submissive position adjusting it to be more comfortable perhaps while still remaining submissive towards her. While she herself was no longer in an overly dominant position she opted against giving Vairen to ok to get back to her feet and drop the submissive behavior. No the beta would not be seen talking to such a lowly ranking wolf as if they were equals. If someone witnessed them without seeing the prior act of dominance from herself and missing the other she-wolfs submissive behavior they might loose respect for her. High ranking wolves like herself often got some of their respect through fear and who would be afraid of a wolf who didn't even demand respect from the very bottom ranked pack members? The reason why other wolves might allow omegas to drop their submissive act was often that it made them feel uncomfortable or they found it unnecessary but neither of those applied to the ebony she-wolf so to her leaving Vairen to stay in her submissive stance was just the better option.

Honestly Astra found the answer she got useless and an exasperated sigh almost slipped from between her jaws but she caught it just in time. There was no use wasting time on an omega who had no useful information for her but the pitch black fae decided it was for the best to at least act like she had the patience to deal with this creature. "Oh you didn't happen to see Chase by any chance?" she decided to ask though she wasn't feeling very optimistic about getting a certain yes or no answer from this wolf. The obsidian female was most interested in the alpha because she needed him for permission to plan the days hunting party, she was hoping he would join the border patrol she she could help lead the hunt. "or Brutess?" she then added, the kappa was another wolf she wanted to talk to. Once the kappa rank had been her own but when she had moved up to beta Brutess had been chosen for the rank so leading hunts was now her job but when Astra had nothing else to do she would join the hunting parties. Hunting was still her passion, she was good at that so from time to time she showed off with that a little. Being able to show off a little was one of the perks of having talent but the fact that she could actually help feed herself and the pack too mattered more.

As she waited for a response from Vairen which she had already written off to be as stuttered and unhelpful as the last had been Astra's ears picked up the soft sound of paws padding slowly closer towards camp. For the time being her burnt sienna orbs continued to gaze downwards at Vairen but one ear pivoted left listening to the sound of the approaching wolf. Only a few moments later the dark she-wolf could tell that whoever it was had entered camp, she looked up then straight at the wolf. The figure her amber eyes saw belonged to Jericho the zeta, no doubt far easier and more interesting to talk to than Vairen. Just maybe the omega might have an answer for her that might at least tell her if one of the two wolves she was looking for were already awake or still asleep within their dens. Until her questions had been answered she would remain with the omega, leaving without giving her time no answer would be rude even though it wasn't like the beta cared about being rude. So she returned her gaze to the wolf that lay before her missing the small smile on the males lips.

☪ This is Daegan, wolf number 9. He doesn't usually go by nicknames, unless someone very close gave it to him, but that isn't very often. The wolf shown before you is a young brute, only about 4 years of age. He has no family member alive, his mother dying very early in his life, and his father by a blow to a head by a large hooved animal during a hunt. He was an only pup, so there are no siblings to journey through this life with. He also doesn't have a mate right now, either, nor pups. Both would be nice, but he will put his pack before his own needs and desires. Oh, he has a crush on Fey.×

☪ Daegan isn't much to look at. He isn't the most handsome wolf in the pack, but he isn't too horrible to look at. He stands an average 3 feet at the shoulder and weighs around 150 pounds on a good day. He isn't the strongest wolf, but he sure won't give up his earned spot anywhere to the next wolf who asks. His fur consists of a variety of blacks, whites, greys, and browns, much like other wolves. He doesn't have many distinct markings, besides his tail that suddenly turns snow white in the middle. His eyes are a soft honey brown, with flecks of hazel all around. When speaking, the brutes voice is deep and full of meaning. ×

☪ When first speaking to Daegan, you'll instantly know a few things. One, he is reserved, and two, he is a wolf of few words. He has gone all through life knowing that if someone isn't going to listen, why waist your breath? He keeps to himself a lot, unless needed, and doesn't usually start up a conversation first. Daegan isn't going to snub you, though. If you ask a question, he will answer. If you invite him for a run, he would be more than glad to take you around the territory. He is also sort of secretive, not liking to share a whole lot with others, and he is very smart, knowing what to do in a lot of situations when put on the spot. He does care what others say, though, and always likes to play around with the other members of the pack.×

☪ Daegan was born into the pack, but, as said before, he has no blood family. His mother died soon after he first opened his eyes, and his father suffered a fatal blow to the skull on a hunt. He also was the only pup born to his parents, so he doesn't have any blood siblings. Even though he has no blood family, he does consider all the members of the pack his family. Saying that, he would do anything for them, seeing is they are all he has. ×

Wind blowing through his fur, Daegan ran as fast as he could. Behind him were two bears. He was running, no, sprinting, as fast as he could, but his legs were getting tired, and the bears were getting closer. Barking quickly, he called out for help, but no matter how much he barked, help didn't come. Glancing around him, he dodged trees left and right. The sky had strangely become almost jet black. No stars were out, and the moon was barely visible behind thick clouds. Legs giving out, he tripped and fell face first into the snow. Looking back, he knew his time had come. The bears were on top of him now, and with a bite to the neck, Daegan woke up. His eyes flew open and he gasped for air. Laying there, panting, he felt weak. Weaker than he knew he already was. The dreams got worse and worse every night, and he didn't know why. Standing up, he didn't bother stretching. He slowly walked out from his spot, and towards the clearing.

The brutes soft, honey brown eyes scanned the area surrounding him. It seems that he had slept in a little too late, most wolves already being up. Glancing at the kill pile they had near the edge, it looked almost barren. He took a mental note to start catching food soon. He wanted to go out on his own today, to clear his mind. Plus, he always did his best when no other wolf was there. But, he doubted that any higher rank would give him permission, so he set off to find a hunting party, if there was one still.
