Storm continued to eye the prey pile up. "No!" He repeated over in his head, as the brute eyed up the fae as she moved and stretched. "You may eat, I you can beat me in a fight..." The words echoed and rolled back and forth across his mind like a disturbed ocean during a powerful storm. The incoming snarl, only meant one thing. Storm had to beat this fae in order to eat and he would use his strength to his advantage, but the confined space would hinder this,

Storm yelped and screamed as he was bowled over by the fae and down deeper into the den. He could feel her front teeth trying to latch onto his fur and skin but moved left and right to try and keep his distance. The brute bared his teeth ferociously, as he found himself on the bottom. Looking into her eyes, her expression told him she would do anything to stop him from eating. Pushing her into the den wall, he stopped her for a few crucial seconds, pulling him from underneath her but only to be shoved back underneath. A growl erupted from his throat as she went for his ears. Her face was close his and his jaws snapped around her muzzle, drawing blood quickly and with ease. This was the wrong time of year in order to fight, usually the winter was a time of plenty for wolves but maybe not up here. His canines dug into the think layer of flesh on her muzzle, almost to bone. He watched her as she squirmed to try and get free. Letting go, Storm allowed her to fall backwards in which he took the top position, barking at her and growling loud and clear showing he meant business.

Minsi's head was still spinning from hitting the wall as she continued to hold onto Storm's ear. She only let go when she felt a horrible abrupt pain come over her muzzle. To her misfortune, she realized it was the brute causing her pain. She went completely still, not wanting to make the pain worse. If Minsi had to guess, she'd say he was almost biting down to the bone of her muzzle. She wanted to cry out but she couldn't because his muzzle was keeping her jaw closed. Minsi hoped he would release her soon since she was starting to see stars in her vision. Not a good sign at all. Minsi felt her blood leaking down her muzzle and neck. Some even found its way to her eyes. She shook her head slightly to rid her eyes of the blood but it just caused her more pain in the end.

When the brute finally released her, her head fell to the den floor. A small pool of blood starting to form a puddle. She was about to stand up but the brute shoved her down on her back, in a harsh manner. A small yelp escaped her at the pain in her head and muzzle. Minsi was still blinded from the blood rolling into her eyes. She flinched when the brute barked and growled in her face again. Minsi did no longer want to fight so was going to let him be the dominate wolf from then on out, much to her displeasure. She let out a whimper to show him she was sorry and also in pain. Then she blindly reached up to kiss his muzzle and chin to ask for forgiveness. And last but not least she laid back her head on the dirt floor to expose her neck, showing submission because the neck was the wolf's most vulnerable part to show to another wolf. The wolf's life could end instantly when in battle if its neck was exposed. Minsi blinked the blood out of her eyes to see better. She looked up at the brute but didn't make eye contact in fear of upsetting him. She just hoped he would accept her submission towards him.

Storm growled loudly as the fae tried to ask for forgiveness yet her submission was not yet enough. Her blind attempts to show submission by licking at his muzzle, did not satisfy him as he pulled his muzzle away after a few short licks. The brute bared his teeth at the fae and in turn she exposed her neck, the most vulnerable part of her body. He lowered his head, smelling the fae gently, as she rolled over onto her back. He growled a final time, accepting her submission to him. Storm looked at the fae as she pulled her head away, avoiding eye contact at all costs. Storm held his tail high, stating his position in this small hierarchy.

Shaking out his shaggy fur, blood trickled in small droplets along his face, from his ripped ear. A sigh rippled through his lips as he exhaled deeply. His stomach growled, reminding him of his authority. Clambering down the dusty den incline into the small space in which the fae kept her stock pile of meat. Saliva exited from the edges of his jowls, in which they hung slightly loose. Smelling about, he picked up scents of many a creature, rabbit, bird, parts of deer and other things. Looking in again, his nose led him to a small piece of mystery meat in which he had never come across. (Fish) It's lifeless eyes stared at him, its scaly body caused discomfort when the brute picked up his dry, dusty body. Pulling it up to the main part of the den, he stared at the fae. Pulling intently on the scales, removing them slowly and with no ease at all. Storm, whined in frustration until he eventually got to the white flesh of the strange creature. Eating it quickly.

When all was said and done, the brute had accepted her submissive position. Minsi watched him prance off to the fresh kill pile with his tail held proudly in the air. Well that didn't bother her none. She could care less. All she wanted to make sure was that she still had her rights and freedom. Minsi cautiously pushed herself to her paws. She did not want to make her muzzle bleed more than was necessary.

Minsi was once again standing, then she walked over to her herb storage her mother had once taught her to keep on hand for injuries or sickness. As she made her way over to the other corner of the den, she couldn't help but sense the trouble the brute was having in getting past the fish's scales. She chuckled then groaned at pain of opening her jaw. Minsi could feel the brutes eyes on her, making her kind of annoyed. Minsi shook herself before setting back to work on finding the herb she wanted.

After a little bit of looking around, she found a small leaf that was suppose to help stop the bleeding by chewing it up and applying it to the certain spot. Minsi did just that, then applied the chewed up leaf cautiously onto her face with the help of her paw. Minsi was very satisfied with her work and thought it might be best to take another nap. So she trotted over to her bed and curled up in a ball. She hoped for sleep to come but it never did because of the hole the brute was making in her fur with his stare. Minsi ignored him at first until she couldn't take it any longer. She whipped her head around to glare at the brute. "Will you quit it? Stop staring at me! You act as if you've never seen a female before!" She told him, hoping deep down that he wouldn't try to come closer and sleep next to her. Minsi would lose it if he did that. She realized a little too late that what she had said was a little disrespectful, however it was a little late to be changing what she had just said.

Storm growled continuously as he struggled with the sleek scales of the strange creature. His eyes wandering over the fae, before being drawn back to his meat. The smell wasn't the best but there's a first time for everything. The brute huffed as the scales finally began to slide off revealing a pale white meat underneath. His canines dug deep into the flesh, ripping large chunks. Storm found the meat very stringy and flicked his tongue like a snake trying to remove it from his teeth.

The brute smirked as the fae struggled to stand and exited towards another room. His ears were upright listening intently to her movements as she wandered further down into the den. As looking towards her wounds, when she returned he noticed a greenish colour paste on them. "Herbs?" Storm thought, shaking out his long shaggy fur. A yawn formed in the bottom of his throat, but the brute tried to hide it behind a sigh. Although it just made him look even more idiotic.

Watching her curl up in a ball, the brute did the same on the other side. He could tell she was still uncomfortable with his presence and by the fact he was now the dominant wolf around here. Storm huffed, breathing in and out heavily before finally settling. However, he could not stop his eyes from staring straight back at the fae. Her unease caused her to snap at him. His eyes narrowed at the remark but instead of stating his dominance he wanted a calm and peaceful den environment. Bowing his head and closing his eyes, "Sorry..." The brute replied calmly before turning his head away and resting it on the dirt. Storm quickly wrapped his busy tail around himself, covering his face.

Minsi snorted, then turned around to curl up once again. In less than five minutes she was sleeping like a baby. She started to mumble in her sleep as her body started to shiver from the cold do to the fact that Minsi was closer to the den entrance then Storm. Minsi sometimes slept talked and walked if she got too hot or too cold. This night, with the storm still blowing strongly, was no exception.

Minsi started rolling around in her sleep, making a snow wolf in her mind. She chuckled in excitement as the snow landed on her nose. Minsi stood to her feet and shook out her pelt, believing there was snow on her pelt. Minsi sniffed the air for anything. Her nose picked up the smell of another wolf. Her excitement got the best of her, making her jump high in the air. The result of her excitement was her hitting her head on the den ceiling. A pain and surprised filled yelp came from Minsi as she started to rub her aching head with her paw. What on earth was that? I thought I was outside, Minsi thought to herself.

Once the dizziness was almost completely gone, she made her way over to the wolf scent. Of course, not being able to see with her eyes closed, she tripped over Storm's body. She picked herself up and moved closer to Storm. In her sleep walking predicament she had no clue what she was doing. She was currently snuggled up to Storm, her body craving his body heat. Minsi pressed her cold nose into his flank and began to drift off into actual sleep again. Now her mumbling started up again. "Don't eat the yellow snow!" Minsi mumbled quietly as she pushed herself even closer to Storm. She continued to mumble about weird things until sleep 100% claimed her, leaving her to think and dream of nothing.

Re: Don't you dare go in there!

Storm snorted as he drifted into his slumber. It was filled with pleasant thoughts of the winter down south closer to the equator, wide open grasslands, no snow and plentiful prey. Snort began to smile when he suddenly heard a mumbling and jolted awake. It's only Minsi... He snorted rolling onto his side to try and get comfortable. The brute breathed heavily as his slumber became deeper.

It was only to be interrupted by a sudden yelp with again caused him to jolt awake. "What are you doing?" He questioned but when he didn't receive and answer he simply tried to sleep again. The constant disturbances caused a troubled sleep for him. His ears swiveled unconsciously listening to the constant mumbling and she wouldn't stop while she was awake either. Storm grunted and tried to sleep but the constant mumbling stopped him from doing so. "Will you just shut up!" Storm Growled before Minsi blurted, "Don't eat yellow snow!" This phrase confused him but he couldn't help but chuckle.

Storm had been drifting for about an hour now when he suddenly felt a warm body press against him and a cold nose push deep into his fur on his right flank. Raising his head in shock, Minsi had snuggled close to him, almost craving his bodily heat. He snorted but decided it would be best not to disturb her sleep in fear that she may start mumbling again. Taking a deep breath and finally slept.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Storm awoke calmly, lifting his head and yawning quietly. He stood, making Minsi flop to her side. The brute looked towards the fae and was pleased she may be finally warming up to him but the brute knew she didn't know about it. Maybe he would mention it later on. Looking down into the food store he walked in and grabbed a small insignificant mouse, a common delicacy where he was from but extremely hard to catch. Unless in the open.

The brute ate it quickly, swallowing it in large chunks. Only taking two or three bites. Looking outside, it seemed the storm had blown itself out. Pushing though the snow, the layer was thick and heavy as he pushed his way through. Struggling all the way to the lake. Digging at the snow, the brute revealed the thickening ice. After yesterdays experience he wasn't going to lick at it instead Storm lay down, warming the ice and melting a small pool of cool water. The brute quickly lapped it up, leaving a small amount for the fae if she wished for a drink.

Minsi awoke to the sound of silence. Her ears were perked as her gaze searched the den for Storm. She couldn't find him so she assumed he must of stepped out for a bit. Speaking of stepping out, Minsi really needed to go...badly! Minsi made her way out of the den to see Storm drinking by the lake. Minsi was really tempted to shove his head down on the ice so he would get his tongue stuck. However, Minsi had other things to deal with at the moment. She quickly found a spot over one of the hills to do her business. Once she was done, Minsi felt much relieved. She trotted back over to where Storm was. "Morning!" Minsi said in a greeting. "Sleep well?" She asked, having no idea she had caused him a lot of trouble the night before, do to her sleep walking/talking. Minsi cautiously lowered her head to lap at a small puddle of water. She swore if Storm pushed her onto the ice, he would be sorry.

(Sorry it took so long for me to reply. I have finals coming up so I'm trying to study.)

(Thats okay I'vebeen the same! )

Storm lay contently in the snow, "Morning..." He replied, "Not very well..." He added, "Your talking is a unique trait I, myself, have never seen before..." His ears swiveled back, at a slight tilt, showing no aggression or assertiveness to her. Explaining simply that they were equal. His eyes wandered to his surroundings, it was quiet too quiet... though this concerned him he kept it to himself. Storm turned his head to watch the fae drink, her body language was apprehensive, almost anticipating his move when he wasn't going to it. A small smile crossed his long jowls. The scent of something peculiar caught his nose. Raising his large head, he asked "Whats that smell drifting on the wind?" Storm stood quickly, his paws freezing again after gaining some of their warmth of the den back. He could still remember the fae cuddling up to him. Storm continued think about whether to tell the fae about her action but decide to keep his mind on the task he was set.

(I was thinking we could add a bit of drama, maybe a mountain lion?)

Minsi finished lapping up her water, completely ignoring what Storm had to say to her. It probably wasn't anything worth her time. "What's that smell drifting on the wind?" she heard him ask. Minsi took a deep whiff on the scent feeling her blood run cold. A cougar! She whipped around to search the area but she found nothing. Minsi took one step towards the den when she heard the loud yowl of the cougar. Minsi snapped her head to the left, watching in horror as the huge cat charged at them from behind a large boulder. Her first instinct was to run for the den but they would be trapped and most likely would become kitty food. She really didn't want to take the cat on even though she wasn't by herself anymore. The only other option she could think of was to run out onto the lake. "Come on!" Minsi barked at Storm as she took off across the frozen lake. She cringed as she heard the ice crack under her paws, as long as they kept moving the ice should hold. Minsi shivered at the possible thought of falling through the ice to the freezing cold water below. Her eyes perked for other movements behind her. To her much relief she heard a set of second paws pierce the ice, then a thirds belonging to the cougar. She hoped Storm was a fast runner or he was toast.

(How about we both RP the cougar? Also this is just a thought but what if the cougar grabs Storm and she has to turn back to save him?)
