Don't you dare go in there!

(Hello there! This thread is open to all. If you are going to reply please write an advanced post. Also I'd prefer the wolf to interact with Minsi to be male but female is okay as well. Have fun! PM me if you have any questions.)

Minsi opened her green eyes to a bunch of white sitting right outside her den. She had to blink twice to make sure she wasn’t hallucinating. When she realized it wasn’t just her imagination, she let out a loud bark of joy. She was up on her paws in a flash, and then stuck her grey shaded head outside the ground den. Minsi looked around in awe at the magical white snow, wondering how long it had been snowing. Minsi couldn’t wait to go exploring since she had nothing else better to do. She took a deep breath of air, then proceeded to step out into the cold winter snow.

The second all four paws were planted firmly in the snow, she felt her body heat turn cold. Running around her den five times fast would surely warm her up. Minsi took off running, on the third lap her heart was pumping and her blood flowing. After the fifth and final turn, Minsi came to a skidding stop, making snow fly up. She let out a long, deep, beautiful howl loving the way it seemed to echo around the meadow. Her eyes searched the white meadow for any glimpse of a living thing. All she saw was snow and more snow. A heavy sad sigh escaped Minsi’s lips. It was pretty lonely around here. The last time she had even talked to one of her kind was maybe five moons or more. Minsi scuffed the powdery snow with her paw in frustration. Why have a snow day if you have no one to share it with?

Minsi growled in disgust to herself, while starting to walk over to the little creek that ran through the meadow. She closed her eyes as she lowered her head to take a nice refreshing…drink? Minsi’s eyes snapped open when all her tongue felt was something hard. Her eyes glanced down to see the frozen solid creek. Her tongue seemed to be stuck solid to the ice. “Yis an ot e hahaning!” (Translation; “This can not be happening!”) She managed to say with her tongue still locked to the ice. Minsi tried to pull her tongue off the ice but she just felt pain. No matter what she tried nothing happened. A small whimper came from Minsi. She did not want to lose her tongue. That very well might just happen. Minsi’s tongue was turning numb. Not a good sign at all! She tried her best to breathe warm air on her tongue but nothing could help release her tongue. It was hopeless. She might lay there all winter and that was something she was not looking forward to.

Then the thought of predators and other wolves crossed her mind. She did not want to become a cougar's snack. And she wasn't too excited about having to defend herself with her head down. Man was her situation embarrassing. She could just picture it now. A stupid loner/rogue brute comes along sees her predicament, then decides to move into her den as he watches her freeze to death. Perfect! Just Perfect! I sorrowful moan came from her throat. Could things get any worse? She was still really thirsty, now that she thought about it.

Storm stood slowly, his stiffened bones and joints frozen from the harsh winters night. A small crook in the tree trunk would have sufficed, if it hadn't of snowed during the night. Large clumps of ice stuck to his fur as the mound he had created began to move. Large claws pushed their way out and into the outside world, while cold an snappy wind whipped through his fur, removing any remains of snow. Winter, to say the least, was not Storm's favourite time of year.

Heaving his bulk up, the brute allowed a small sigh to escape his mouth only to met with birds knocking snow off the branches above onto his head. Peering up with striking yellow eyes, the brute growled and barked loudly. Scaring his opposition off. Smirking, the brute trudged through the snow once more. Storms' paw pads ache with the cold, they had not felt the warmth of a nice den for little over a week now and the brute was getting desperate. The carcass of a small rabbit lay next to him, and Storm decided it was best to finish it off. His slender canines ripped the meat from the bones, swallowing in small chunks.

The sound of a howl, from what seemed like a fae drew him closer to the lake. Birds chattered as an owl was on the prowl on some of the lower branches as icicles clung flimsily to them, threatening to drop at any moment and impale anything below it. The brute avoided the tree's and stuck as close to the middle as possible. Shaggy, grey fur waved in the wind as he stopped to check the area. Storm didn't want to be a mountain lion snack. Although, they were rare and his biggest threats, bears were deep in their slumber. Striking yellow eyes gazed endlessly into the barren land. Nothing was to be seen for now.

Looking over by the lake, a fae caught his attention. Taking around ten steps outwards, on closer inspection the fae had her tongue stuck to the ice. Struggling to contain his laughter Storm asked, "Do you need any help...?" The last part almost inaudible. Walking around her, Storm tested his limit nudging her rump and tried to get a hold of the situation. "What to do..." The idea was on the tip of his tongue, yet it wouldn't come to mind.

Minsi must of dozed off, the cold freezing her to the bone and her tongue getting colder by the minute. It wasn't until she heard male laughter that her eyes popped open. Her eyes quickly found the source of the laughter. Walking around her was a large male, looking hungry for something. Minsi tested out the movement in her tongue by giving it a big yank. Her effort was rewarded with a sharp sting of pain. She yelped, hating the pain the ice and cold had caused her tongue. Minsi was so mad that she felt like she would kill to get her tongue unstuck of the ice.

Minsi's plotting was interrupted by a sharp nudge on her rump. She jumped to the right, causing her body to land on the ice with a painful thud. Minsi was briefly winded from the impact and the effort she made to stay on all paws. She growled deep in her throat at the intruding male. She'd rather freeze to death then get any help from him. "Ack of!" She growled, glaring at the male with her green eyes. She was not in the mood to be mated and she wasn't in the mood to be pestered or have her den occupied by a stinking brute.

Minsi continued her effort to free herself by using her fangs and claws to chip at the ice. She smelled the air for another weather report. What her nose and other senses picked up was not good. A big blizzard was about to arrive in about five minutes or less. She could already feel the wind starting to pick up. This made Minsi more desperate to get her tongue free. She growled at the male to tell him to stay away. Minsi would personally kill him if he did anything to mess up her escape plan.

Storm took the verbal warning diligently and went and sat in the snow bank a few meters away. "So how do you plan on getting yourself out..?" He asked, looking contently around the place for maybe a den or something he could hide away in. "I would say you have about five minutes until the blizzard gets here..." A smirk crossed his face, the fae was on the ice, slipping and sliding like nobody's business and her claws slowly chipping away at the ice. Storm couldn't help but admire the fae's persistence in this situations.

The wind was slowly gathering and snow already beginning to fall, "Times ticking...do you want help or not?" The brute was becoming inpatient, thinking about leaving and looking for her den was a pretty good idea. Standing he wandered about, her den couldn't be far. The hill in which he sat would be the best place for a fae to make a den, and Storm knew it. A few moments later he came across a hole. "This yours?!" He shouted, climbing down.

Earth clung to the fringes of his fur, while grasses and other materials had been used for bedding. This would be the perfect place to stay, he had found a fae all he had to do was woo her. Though that would be easier said than done. The thought about it made him chuckle as he entered the main sleeping area. "Nice..spacious..." He muttered before turning himself around and out. The fae was still stuck.... "Want my help now...you only have a couple of minutes..."

Minsi remained silent, letting a warning growl erupt from her throat. She was not going to answer the brute and she was not going to let him help her. It was simple as that. If anything, she was going to prove that she didn't need any help in getting her tongue freed from the ice. Mini was still slipping and sliding on the ice, her nails trying to gain traction. Then she realized she needed to grip the ice with her paw pads and level out her weight. The second she did those both things, she was no longer slipping and sliding on the ice, making it easier for her to concentrate on pricking the ice.

Minsi continued her efforts, ignoring the brute until she heard him ask 'This yours?' Minsi froze and focused her eyes on the brute who was looking at the entrance to her den. An angry growl escaped her jaws once more. "O'nt o n eir!!!!" She growled deeper, telling him not to go in her den. Too late! Minsi was now more than angry. She was furious and starting to panic. She really did not want to be outside when the storm hit. Minsi started to paw at her tongue, hoping that it might loosen the ices hold on her tongue. It didn't do much.

Minsi finally had a good idea. It might cause her pain but it was worth the try. She started to back up quickly, causing a pulling force. Minsi already could feel the pain in her tongue intensifying. As she continued to pull back, she swiped her paw hard under her tongue, and to her amazement. Her tongue was finally off the ice. She gave a howl of triumphant until she realized her body was starting to slide to the other shoreline. Minsi put one paw in front of the other until she was back on her own shore line. Once she made it to the shoreline she didn't wait a second longer to lung at the brute, ready to pin him to the snow. Minsi's tongue was still dangling out of her mouth but she didn't care. All she cared about was showing the brute who was boss. She bared her teeth in the brute's face. "No I do not need your help. I suggest you find shelter elsewhere before the storm hits. In three. Two. One!" Minsi continued to glare at him as snow and wind whooshed over them, moving their fur around in every direction possible.

(Note: It's okay if you make your character powerplay on Minsi as long as their in no death or serious injuries involved. Is it okay if Minsi powerplays on Storm as well? If not I understand. For me powerplaying caused more drama.)

Storm watched as the fae got to shore, a smile creeping across his face as the blizzard was in sight. His eyes widened as the fae began to pull on her tongue. His eyes squinted, knowing or even thinking about how much that must hurt. "Ooo..." He muttered as she got free and started sliding towards the shoreline.

Storm began to see the rage in her eyes and stood, ready for an impact. But it never did happen, she just stood there glaring at him as the wind continued to pick up. Storm could see her lips moving but couldn't hear as the wind howled in his ears. "I'm sorry! I can't..." He was cut off as snow and ice blew into his face. A yelp escaped from his jaws as it stung continuously. "Argh!" He yelled, rubbing his front paws across his face trying to relieve the pain.

Bolting for the faes den, he dived in, the warmth comforting in someway. Although he knew he would be kicked out for several reasons. The wind and snow whipped past the entrance, the brute had left the fae in the cold. The sight of the faes tongue hanging from her jowls still remained in his mind, only to bring a small smile to his face. Though it quickly changed for he knew the fae would be close behind him.

(I don't mind power playing and of course if there is no death or serious injury! :D It makes the role play more interesting!)

Minsi heaved a heavy sigh as she watched the brute freak out because of the stinging snow and wind. She looked around her to see the full impact of the blizzard. Minsi closed her eyes to snow, taking in a deep fresh breath of snowy air. She welcomed the cold but not as much as in the past years. She still couldn't feel anything in or around her mouth. Minsi used her tongue muscles to pull her tongue into her mouth to warm it up. She would be so much happier when her tongue and teeth weren't all cold.

Once she had had enough of the winter blizzard she followed the brute back to her den. She was not very happy that he was there but she couldn't see herself making him leave in the middle of a blizzard. She wasn't that heartless. It just made her a bit nervous about having a brute under the same roof as her. Minsi would let him stay as long as he followed her rules. If he didn't follow her rules then he'd be lucky enough to leave with all his limbs attached. She also took note about making him work for his food. Her mind thought of ways to do just that. The best idea she could think of was making the brute fight her for his food. Now that Minsi had her game plan all setup, she felt all the more confidant.

She had just stepped over the den entrance, taking in the darkness, when her green eyes settled in on the brute. He must not be from around here or else he wouldn't have reacted that way about the snow. "You're not from around these parts. I know that for a fact." Minsi told the stranger, then walked casually over to her stored prey pile. She picked up a nice looking rabbit before laying down to begin her meal. Minsi waited for the brute to help himself to the prey. She was testing him. If he went for the pile she would attack in a manner that portrayed she wanted to kill. She would not stop the fight until she thought he had seen through her trick or until she thought he had had enough. Only then would she let him choice a piece of meat. Deep down Minsi was curious about this brute before her, though she would not let her curiosity get the better of her.

Storm peered out into the snow, the fae was coming so he pushed himself deeper in and to the side, out of her way. The wind continued to howl and it seemed this it would never end. The brute lay down and rubbed his eyes constantly, the stinging sensation becoming unbearable but ti was slowly fading as his paws and claws smacked at the corners of his eyes. As the fae clambered in, he was curious and take a sniff but quickly pulled away to avoid irritating her. "No I am not from around he!" He snapped, "I am from down south!" He growled.

Storm must have fallen asleep, as by the time he had finished the blizzard was over, the snow had piled high and nearly covered the entrance to the den. A sigh escaped his mouth, he missed the wide open meadows and lush green forests further south. But it was for the best he move up here. The brute shook his head and his shaggy fur with it, trying to erase what was.

As the fae began to stir, he watched her contently as she grabbed a rabbit from what seemed to be an underground storage. NO matter how much he wanted to eat he thought about how hard it must be to find food during this time of year. He wasn't about to steal someone else's life line. Storm licked his muzzle discretely trying to cover the saliva leaking from his mouth. The smell of the rabbit was divine and he would do anything for a piece of his own. Preening his legs he tried to draw his mind away from it. "If she wants me to have a bit she would have said..." He thought trying to stop himself from lunging at the pile.

Minsi chuckled at Storm's obvious irritation because of the cold weather. She finished up her meal, then licked the blood off of her muzzle. Minsi couldn't help but notice Storm's expression as he watched her eat and eyed the pile of prey. He seriously looked as if he would do anything for a piece of prey. She smiled, getting ready to put her plan into action.

Minsi stood up to stretch the kinks from her body. She listened to the storm picking up again. Storms might stop for a short time but continued on shortly after. Minsi made eye contact with the brute, starting to slink ever so closer. "You are free to eat when and if you can beat me in a fight." Minsi let out a snarl as she lunged for the brute. She bowled him over, making them start to roll down the incline of the den, head over heels. Her jaws snapped at his fur, trying to get a grip. She wasn't going to make it easy for him, that was a fact. They continued to roll and tussle until Minsi's head smashed into the den wall, making her see stars for a brief moment. She saw that he was on top of her which just made her want to try harder to make him fail. Minsi growled, then tried to grab Storm's right ear, giving it a hard yank. She would not let go unless he did something to change that.
