crystallinejester is cold and calculating, proud and boastful of her abilities. she is rude and snobbish, and can be quite obsessed with her pristine fur. many a tom would fall for her over beauty, and many have. but, those sharp words and restless claws have driven suitors away. Crystallinejester recovered her name for two reasons. crystalline, came from the colour of her pale, sharp blue eyes and clear pelt. jester, came from her father, who was a circus-roaming cat that met her mother in the woods one day.
crystallinejester has a difficult time of making friends but seems to be flawless at creating enemies. she feels alone and vulnerable, but you'd never see it underneath those harsh eyes and excruciating language.

this queen cat was born in willow clan. her mother was a warrior and her father was a rogue. in a way, this mad her a half-clan cat, but many kind souls in willowclan ignored this and treated her equally. her name comes from her looks and lineage. her father was a stray cat roaming with a traveling circus. he met her mother in the woods and eventually the two fell in love. the result was three kittens, one, however, was born deaf and blind, and with a terrible disability to its hind legs. soon, the kit grew frail and died. the remaining two were nurtured with vigour, though one was smaller than the other. that one was a Crystallinejester. she and her brother Maizekit both survived and lived to apprenticeship. during their first week in the apprentice den, there was a mudslide from a nearby ravine. it carried into camp and flooded the apprentice den, drowning Maizepaw horribly. crystalline could only watch and stare in horror as her light coloured brother turned dark and slick, gasping in chunks of suffocating debris as he was swallowed by the stinking sludge.
after this, though it would have no effect, Crystallinejester trained as hard and fast as she could, developing lean muscles and stunning form. she became the most beautiful cat in the clan, but the only tom she cared for was the little mound just outside camp, her brother and unknown sisters burial place. Crystallinejester turned to the medicine cat, asking to become up the current ones apprentice. she had heard from elders that StarClan cats came down and spoke with medicine cats, and she hoped to speak to her lost siblings. when she displayed no aptitude for healing or dream walking, the medicine cat had no choice but to drop Crystallinejester. our heartbroken and abandoned queen cat turned her back on StarClan, never believing in it again.

→ LIONTAIL gives a small nod of approval. The apprentices had been training hard, and well. They deserve a chance to become warriors. She seeks out Spiderpaw and Larkpaw, purring a congratulations to both before padding out of camp and into the forest. The bothersome humidity had given way to rain, thick and heavy drops that soak into her fur before she can shake it out. Silently, Liontail stalks her way over the soft earth, trailing after a fresh squirrel scent. She pounces on the creature, though it narrowly escapes her claws. Cursing under her breath, Liontail continues on her way.

Oakfall fell from the conversation, listening to the deputy and the leader converse. He did not bother to really listen well, watching a white apprentice pad behind him. He trailed the blind apprentice with his eyes, watching the beaten tom wait foe the conversation to end. So, he listened as the sore apprentice almost admitted defeat, you could hear the hatred for asking a trained warrior to accompany the medicine cats on their herb trips. His eyes almost widened when the deputy asked Oakfall to walk them. The warrior do not speak in protest, he only nodded and moved off his hind legs. He looked back as the tom made a last comment on the rain, and Oakfall looked around. Tiny, white droplets starting to collapse on his fur. He smiled and walked behind Palepaw, who must be moving towards Fawnstep, who had disappeared just before.

Larkpaw heard the murmured thoughts of Sunpaw, her whiskers twitching. She might of been thinking of her own name. Larkpaw purred as Spiderpaw, Turtlepaw and Featherpaw joined the two, only commenting a 'hey'. He ignored them to quickly answered her question. ❝I really hope it's Larkfoot, but it's not really my choice, what ever shines in leaders eyes.❞ He looked up as Ripplestar jumped to high rock, disappointed he couldn't reply back to the apprentices. Liontail quickly drifted by, mewing a simple congratulations before moving on. He watched the cat leave. Larkpaw padded nervously, scared of what words would spill from her lips. He sat down, looking up the the ginger she-cat. When she wished the two apprentices good luck, the brown tom felt like jumping up to practise a small hunt. But as the warriors slowly moved off, he too took his leave and moved into the forest, and would only be ready when his mentor called him. A nose opened to a wave of smells, his eyes keen for any prey. His eyes were perked as he listened for any mice. A sound was heard, the leaves moved amongst the undergrowth. A mouse was stuttering around, finding the lady few bits of food before threatening rain. He slowly leant down, his shoulder blades rising as he hunched to the ground. His chest was off the leaves and his tail flat but not resting on the ground. He leapt through the air,and after one or maybe two heart beats the mice was in his paws, dead as anything. He smiled, dug a hole and covered it, preserving it until after the test.

Dewstar, after hearing Pebblefoot's remark, soon felt the rain hit his pelt. He could already tell it wasn't going to let up. Giving a quick shake, he slipped away from the group and leaped up onto the Highrock. He cleared his throat and yowled, "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey, gather beneath the Highrock for the hunting patrol," He sat back on his haunches, carefully picking through the small group of cats. Apprentices will most likely want to train today so don't bring very many... He thought to himself. But these patrols seem too small to have enough of! And Oakfall went out with Palepaw so I suppose one will do. We still need cats around to protect the camp. Hesitantly, he rose again and added, "I will lead the hunting patrol with Wolfheart and Sparrowpaw and I encourage that mentors take their apprentices out to train. That is all," Surely he wasn't the only one who'd noticed the shortage of warriors?

Dovepaw flattened her ears in annoyance as the group of warriors continued their "ever so important" discussion. She noticed Oakfall break off from the group with Palepaw so of course, she bounded after them, putting herself on the other side of her mentor. "I thought we were going training today!" She meowed. "You know, my very first day of training," She lashed her tail but the anger soon dissipated, replaced by awe of her surroundings. As a new apprentice, she'd never really been allowed to be out of camp when she was in the nursery. The mud was wet and sticky on her white paws, making that weird slapping sound she loves. The leaves were falling too, vibrant bursts of red, orange and yellow and still, despite the rain, were beautiful.

Sighing, Turtlepaw shifted away from the other apprentices to listen to Ripplestar, even though it didn't concern him. He wanted to be accepted, he wanted to feel like he belonged and had a meaning here. The tortoiseshell tom settled down into a crouch, not even caring that the mud was dirtying his paws and underside or that the rain was slicking down his fur to make him seem even more fragile than he was. All he wanted was to be appreciated.

Embertail had already been up and out of the den when Ripplestar called out the mentors and apprentices. She sat herself down next to Spiderpaw, eyes glittering and as Ripplestar finished she got up again and met Spiderpaw's grey green eyes with her own hazel ones. "Are you ready for this? We need to go practice so get something to eat and meet me in the forest by that big birch tree, okay?" Without waiting for a reply, Embertail trotted quickly out of camp entrance and arrived at the huge white birch she'd mentioned to her apprentice.

The sunlight shone through the treetops' highest boughs in broken fragments, and the beams that made it to the forest floor seemed to dance in the hazy half-light. In the midst of the undergrowth, Shadowpaw crouched, her mottled pelt blending in with the shade that she had been named after. Her amber eyes shone with barely-repressed delight; she knew that this perfect forest was naught but a dream, a recreation made from her mind of WillowClan's actual home, but in a dream, one could do whatever they wanted, right?
As if on cue, a rabbit bounded out of a bush, and Shadowpaw yowled in delight, abandoning all knowledge of how to properly hunt rabbits. She hurled herself out of the undergrowth and raced after the now startled prey, and stretched her legs wide until her claws brushed against the fluffy white tail...

The sounds of running, excited paws and stern ordering yowls eventually nudged Shadowpaw awake. She blinked open sleepy eyes, stretched, and yawned, showing all her sharp white teeth... when her eyes stretched wide and she immediately scrabbled at her nest, nearly panicking when her paws got tangled with the moss. How did she end up sleeping in so late?! Her mentor would be infuriated!

When she finally managed to unhook her claws from a particularly clingy piece of heather, she gave her fur a quick lick and trotted out of the apprentices' den, ears pricked. If she woke up late, she'd better train extra hard today, to make sure she made up for her tardiness.

His red fur flew in the wind, he had taken over the young, white apprentice. He was almost into entering the tunnel that lead outside when his apprentice jumped in front of him. He sighed and listened to the apprentice, knowing the sweet young one would complain after a trip around territory. Oakfall's own mentor took him around the territory, it disappointed the young and blind apprentice at the time. Her tail showed obvious annoyance and anger. ❝Dovepaw, i have duties and I will attend to them. You will wait until my duties are done, which will be short.❞ He almost brushed past the apprentice, smiling he looked down, ❝would you like me to accompany me on this? Then we can start 'training'.❞ he drifted from the apprentice and back on track, walking out into the wild of the forest.

It seemed Sunpaw's smile only brightened as the other two apprentices made their way over, the thought that this amout of cats more suited a proper sending off for Larkpaw prominent in her mind. Now they just needed Spiderpaw, where ever the other she-cat may be. The search for the black apprentice was cut off before it could begin as Larkpaw answered her question, making her tilt her head thoughtfully in response. "Larkfoot.. it has a certain ring to it." Sunpaw purred approvingly. Further conversation between the two was prevented as their leader called all cats to the center of camp. Quickly whispering a warm welcome to both Turtlepaw and Featherpaw, she turned to listen to their leader. She loved these days, especially when her friends passed, if for nothing more than to see how happy they became. As Larkpaw and Spiderpaw made their way out of camp to take their tests, she quickly yowled out a 'good luck!' after them. The rain had began to fall a little harder, but the apprentice didn't mind, turning towards the other two apprentices with excitement clear in her eyes. "How do you think they'll do?" The she-cat inquired, not seeming to notice how Turtlepaw had crouched down so low.
