Ashtail stepped closer to Redpool, close enough that their fur was pressed together and dropped his voice so Claritypaw couldn't hear. It wasn't common knowledge that Sootpaw was his daughter. Only a few cats knew and he wanted to keep it that way. "I'm all for getting to the bottom of this Redpool and if it does turn out something is going on, I will stand by you. But do not pick a fight with Sootclan. I may be loyal toRustclan but you know I cannot risk hurting those Sootpaw cares about unless absolutely necessary." He warned quietly, his voice a low hiss.

Redpool turned to see Ashtail so close to her that she narrowed her eyes sharply at him.She listened as he explained in a low hiss and she sighed."Of course Ashtail,but talking to Russetstar goes to me and I will not do anything to cause unwanted harm,"she hissed back at him as he shoved him lightly away from her.She looked over at Claritypaw and shook her head."Your ideas are..interesting I might say but it is unwanted that we want suspicion to rise among the cats.Our rivalry is bad enough,"she meowed to the apprentice.

"Ive been watching their clan from the shadows for days now. "Right about sunset she walks in the boards alone." She stood up looking up at them. "If Russetstar doesn't attack her or shows kindness to her when we bring her here then we will know he has feelings for her, if he attacks and kills her then we can take over her clan and be stronger."

Redpool was suspended at least when she heard the apprentice meow.She looked at Lightningclaw,her eyes widened slightly at how he mentored the she-cat.She shook her head and looked at the apprentice."Claritypaw..Please.We are not to be discussing ways to kill Silenstar and even taking over he clan.That idea is too..Beyond to say at least.Now,stay out of trouble alright?"she meowed to the apprentice firmly.She looked at the sky to catch the sun nearly setting."We should be hunting,we haven't caught a single mouse even."

Redpool nodded slightly at the apprentice."Yes you may Claritypaw,stick with your mentor always,"she meowed to her as she watched Lightningclaw tense slightly with what she had heard earlier from him.She let out an amused huff and as he playfully draped his tail over Claritypaw,she couldn't help but remember that she needed to continue her training with Cinderpaw.She turned to the rest of the cats and nodded,"Let's hunt then."
