the ground shook with a familiar beat, pounding and drumming, the rocks in the valley slowly tumbling away, as if they could escape from it. the valley echoed with the sound of a hundred hearts, and hundreds of hooves. the air turned warm with the hard breath of the mustangs, the birds and rabbits fleeing as fast as they can. the herd of wild horses thundered through the valley, trampling the soft grass beneath their hooves. they will never be tamed.

zelda

four ll lone mare ll mare

“Above all, be the heroine of your life, not the victim.”

zelda is a four year old mare, in good physical shape. she is considered almost a grey roan, but her coloration can be debated. she has one blue eye, which she has more difficulty seeing out of, and her nose is slightly pinkish. she has yet to foal any of her own, and she was only recently departed from her blood herd. she is fierce and knows how to stand up for herself.

Image
quintero

five ll bachelor ll stallion

“Freedom lies in being bold.”

quintero is a five year old stallion, a chestnut mustang with 4 white socks and a large white blaze on his face. he is an experienced stallion, having had a herd of his own for a year, until he lost them in a blm round up. he is a fiery stallion, very upbeat and energetic. he is in good shape, and can keep up with the younger ones.

Image
blue jay

four ll lone mare ll mare

" He makes me feel like that, like flying."

blue is a strong legged young mare. she weighs a total of 1, 150 lbs, but is lean and quick on her feet. she is faster than she is strong, andcan out run most of thoughs that are bigger then her. her thin coat is a light gray with dark stormy gray area's that have the same light gray spots skattered across them. blue is clever and fun loving. she is able to quickly think of a solution to tough problems as long as she is not under pressure. she loves to have fun and mess with other and can be a troublemaker some times.

Image
celtic outlaw

seven ll bachelor ll stallion

“But better to get hurt by the truth than comforted with a lie.”

outlaw is a strong, muscled stallion. he has more of a quiet, standoffish personality, where he is more of a lone wolf then anything else. he isn't like most stallions, where anything'd do, no, he isn't all that desperate for a mare. the mare has to catch his interest, and if he finds her he'd take her, whether she likes it or not, but even then he'd be reserved. this is a stallion which you would need a lot of work to get close to, and he doesn't show any of his care at all, really, other then keeping you in his herd. he treats mares and stallions alike for the most part, he isn't exactly softer on mares unless they are in his herd, and even then if they do something wrong he has no qualms about disciplining them. he is very straight to the point, and dislikes mares that ask too many questions or fight too much without observing more. however, to the select few that are in his herd, he might speak a little more, and he would protect them with his life itself, though you might not believe it. he will push his way about in his herd, because honestly, to him, his opinion matters most. a queer, queer stallion, to say the least.

Image
wind

three ll lone mare ll mare

"Giving up doesn't help anything, just destroys the chance of anything getting better."

wind is a creamy-white mare with small toffee-cream speckles all over her coat, and her tail and mane are darker shades. wind enjoys mental challenges and puzzles, but will shy away from a physical fight. when wind believes in something, she protects her opinion and doesn't let anyone walk all over her. however, she needs a little protection now and then. though wind has no mate, crush, of foals, she'd very much enjoy starting a family.

zelda
the young mare was calm and collected for once, her thoughts receeding and a quietness was once again allowed into her forever processing head. she snorted softly, flaring her nostrils to sense the air around her. she could sense other horses in the area, but not immediateley around her general viscinity. she wasn't worried, that wasn't it. but she was concerned. she had been without her herd for only a week now, and she already felt the chilliness of being alone. she didn't have any other horses to huddle up against to sleep, and it was lonesome. she had been forced to leave the herd by the new leader. her sire had been the lead stallion, until he had fallen behind in a round up and was never seen again. her dam, the lead mare, was unaffected by the switch in leadership, but she had to leave, the new stallion was aggressive and had to mate with all of the mares that spring, and she was not going to be part of it. so in effect, he had run her from the herd. she didn't regret her decision, but she had to admit to herself that being completley alone wasn't a plus either. she stopped her slow paced walk and stood still, flicking her tail a few times anxiously. the whites of her eyes widened as she tensed her muscles, loosing a short, high pitched whinny, more of her subconscious wish than of her own. she was in heat, after all.

quintero
the fiery stallion was energized and ready to go. he had recently been hydrated, and he could go on for hours without rest, essentially. his muscles were taunt and ready to spring forward with any sign of action. by flaring his nostrils, he could simply sense that there were mares scattered around the valley, all in heat. he could also sense another bachelor, but he was ready for anything. the chestnut stallion wasn't going to let anything stop him short of getting what he wanted. and what he wanted consisted of a herd of his own mares, a few foals, and a high ranking spot among the herds of the valley. he wanted to be the first to rise to the top, and he had his goal set on a pedestal. shaking out his mane and loosing some dirt particles from his coat, he started off at a trot, flaring his nostrils as he went, hoping to catch the sent of a mare nearby, close to his grasp, so he could snake her and claim her for his own before anyone else could.

    BLUE JAY
    NOBODY IS PERFECT

    g e n d e r ::Mare - a g e ::4 years - s t a l l i o n ::None - r a n k ::Lone mare - f o a l / s ::None

-- The young dapple mare walked silently through the spring woods happily listening to birds chirping to one another and fluttering through the warm air. She was all alone in the valley's only forest but was used to being by herself since she had been a lone since a young age. She could clearly her her hoof steps on the soft packed down soil that had dried and dead leaves catered on it from the previous fall. She kept her ears perked up and swished her tail around flicking away flies as she made sure there where no near by stallions. Not hearing any at the moment she relaxed and began heading towards the edge of the woods towards the near by plains hoping to get a good meal. She walked beneath the warm rays of sun that peeked down throw the thin layer of leaves on the trees that tried there hardest to keep in away from the forest floor. The plains soon came into her view and she looked around cautiously before stepping out into the tall grass that brushed against her stomach as she walked throw it. Blue Jay leaned down towards the grasses nibbling on it happily her tail continuing to flick about. She was in heat just as every mare was this time of year and was taking extra pro-cautions and making sure that no stallions where no by, so she kept her ears perked up for the sounds of others as she ate.

Celtic Outlaw

Outlaw trotted through the area, ears perked for any surprise attacks. He'd recently been chased out the area he was just now by a herd stallion, and he didn't fancy being chased off again. Truly that other stallion was weaker then him, to feel such a threat when he was merely passing through. Outlaw almost turned around and bit him right back for his insolence. But then again, it wasn't really worth his time. What was, then? He hadn't snaked any mares from that herd stallion, though he very well could, as that stallion was perhaps about four, and though with the qualities of charm to have so many mares, he simply didn't have the strength to stand up against an older and more experienced stallion yet, and he knew it. But Outlaw didn't want his herd, which might have perhaps been the greatest insult the large dark bay could have given that youngster.

That youngster's herd had been bickering, even whilst the young one challenged him, and he saw many causes for conflict in it. That wasn't what Outlaw wanted. He didn't want disputes in his herd, and if he was going to have a herd, he would do it his way. Either that, or he would continue living alone. It seemed almost every mare had one goal. Find a stallion, stick close, maybe be lead, or have foals. The other mares often weren't factored, and jealousy seemed almost common. Or hurt, when the stallion spent too long with another mare in heat. Or even natural bickers, that often seemed to happen when more horses were gathered. All the commotion hurt his ears, it did.

The muscled stallion moved quietly, mainly disinterested as he moved, searching for patches of the spring grass which popped up every now and then. A peaceful-preferably at least a little submissive- mare, did that seem so hard? Pushing the thought away, he continued moving. Emotions were a little irritating sometimes. As he moved, he caught the scent of yet another bachelor, but no other herd stallions, which let him relax a little. As he trotted though, he caught the tangy scent of heat, and like any other stallion, lifted his head. His emotions warred with his logic for a moment, as pessimistic or not, he was still a stallion. Sighing, he started towards it, ears perked, though his eyes showed no hope for what he would find. He did come across a mare, a cautious looking dapple grey(Blue Jay). That slightly interested him, but any mare kind of did at this period of time. He snorted softly, watching with slight curiosity. It wasn't as if he really had anything else to do.
Mostly just on rps now. XD

-- Blue Jays ears perked up more when hearing a soft snort coming from near by. She lifted her head quickly holding it high as she backed up while turning herself slightly towards the woods her dark eyes scanning the lunch growing area. Her nostrils flared as she searched the air for the scent of a stallion and sure enough it was there along with the slight scent of another bachelor being brought her way by a small breeze that blew ruffling the grass around her. She glanced around nervously taking another step back thinking if the stallion decided to take another step towards her she could run into the woods away from him and hopefully he wouldn't catch up to her. She didn't like the idea of being controlled by a stallion and having to listen to what he said. It just didn't seem right to her and she would rather be alone then be bossed around by some stallion that thought he was better then everyone.
