The year? Oh that doesn't matter much.. at least, not to you, you filthy little canine. All you care about is survival, right? Why are you questioning the year?

As for the location, you see.. You don't quite know the name for this place. All you know is that between the enormous beach and the flourishing forest is the city. It matters not where you reside, or how you get from point a to point b, you simply walk knowing that pain of your joints, stomach, even your own sanity cannot thrive unless you find a way to feed.

Some of you have been abandoned by what you thought was your best friend, the rest of you have lived this way from the very beginning. Some of you know each and every alley way, some can't even seem to figure out how to maneuver around a simple block. Every day you encounter pups, older then dirt elders and those with the spirit of a wolf; willing to tear your throat out for a piece of trash. And yet, you still seem to find the will to live on...

So tell me...
Who are you and what role do you play in this world?

{ Folly } . { Irish Wolfhound } . { Female } . { 3 1/2 } . { Friendly }

Name:
Folly has a simple name for a dog that was taken in by simple foolishness. "Lack of good sense; foolishness"

Personality:
Folly is a very energetic dog who won't hesitate to shove her face in yours and continue to slobber. In many ways she's lost her bearings and is just barely able to survive the life of a stray, but her willingness to approach humans and dogs alike grants her many things she wouldn't otherwise acquire. Yet Folly doesn't usually accept these simple, small things and when she does, she's usually got a pup somewhere nearby that needs to food more then her. Folly herself gets enough food a day just by showing her huge mug to a random canine who darts without question at her gargantuan size. The few who do many to swallow their fear and get to know the giant dog quickly come to find that she's nothing to fear, in fact they're usually extremely happy to have met her.

Also seeking a few to play littermates of a pup I have in mind!

I have an obsession with five seconds of summer
and I don't honestly shut up about them. My phone
is full of tweets and pictures of them, and sometimes
I have emotional break downs when I just burst out
in tears over them XD If you asked me to pick a
favourite I really couldn't choose, try are all literally
perfect; and it would be impossible to just pick one
of them. I have loved them since 2011, and I am not
one of those people that likes them just for there looks.
(Even though they are like perfection XD) If you have
a 5sos roleplay please send me the pm because I will
    most certainly join.

Tanuka & Ashka

Postby IPanic!attheDisco » Sun Nov 24, 2013 6:16 pm

"Underneath the strength and bravery, lies a coward; one who is afraid of all. Not weak, no. One who is weak, surrenders. Strong. Strong enough to hide the fear and continue on despite the fact that one might not make it through the night."

Greetings. I am called Tanuka. I am a male pitbull, having lived three years total. Two of those years on the street. For the most part, life hasn't been very hard here out on the streets for me. I am a very good hunter, so I can provide for myself, and anydog who's with me, and I can hold my own in a fight. Not that I win them all. In fact, I try to avoid conflict mostly. I believe you could say I'm more a lover than a fighter, but do not let my relaxed nature fool you. I will stand my ground if needed, and I will fight with all that burns in me, even to the death.

When I was younger, my first year, I was owned by a teen boy named Joshua. My dam had birthed my littermates and myself on the street near Joshua's home, in a large bush. It was the middle of winter, and the cold wind cut through the almost leafless shrubbery. Several of my littermates had already passed on to meet the Great Canus, despite my mother's hard work to shield our small bodies from the cold. Out of seven of us, four were left.

Josh was just returning home from school, all bundled up against the chill. He walked right by our hiding place and heard our whimperings. Joshua was an amazing boy. He came up to us slowly and gave my mother some beef jerky, then took my siblings and I, and placed us into his large jacket pockets. I remember the instant change from freezing to instantly warm. My dam actually told my littermates and I this story when we were old enough to comprehend all that went on that cold winter's day. My dam, helpless to get us from Josh's pockets, followed helplessly after the teen boy, whining.

Basically, Joshua's mother allowed us to stay. Josh disappeared for a while after settling us into the wash room next to the heater. My dam told me later that Joshua had went and buried my siblings who didn't survive past our first week. After that day, we lived a good life. Josh and his mother, Karen, we very nice owners. They took good care of us: fed us, played with us, and most importantly, loved us. But everything beautiful fades.

When my littermates and I were around four months old, Karen told Josh that he had to give two of us away, and he did. Though, he kept me and my sister Ashka. More time went on, and a few months later, our dam died. Josh and Karen buried her in the backyard. We were all sad for days. Things were good again, for a while, but then came Frank. Frank was a man Karen had met at a bar. He seemed nice...at first.

Well, I'll let my sister tell you the rest. Farewell for now...

"Things aren't always what they seem. For instance, take a look in me.
I may look innocent as can be, but a dark fire burns within me.
I am not afraid to be violent if needed,
And I mostly do as I pleases.
And what is held most in my heart,
Is one who has always been there from the start.
Family means the most to me,
And to even hurt them, I believe, is the greatest blasphemy."

I am Ashka, and I am also a pitbull. I also am three years of age, like that of my brother. He has asked me to continue the story. I guess I shall, since I have nothing else to say, as our histories are mostly identical.

As Tanuka stated, Frank was seemingly a nice human male. He would feed Nuka and I scraps of food when he came over for dinner, and he even played fetch with us. But when he began the weird human ritual called 'dating', he changed drastically. He would howl and growl at Karen, and sometimes he would butt her around hard. But...Karen never challenged his dominance. She accepted that he was the Alpha Male. Which I think was stupid. It was Karen's territory! She should have defended herself and her pup!

Of course, she did that one night. Joshua was celebrating his birthing day. He had been padding around for sixteen years! That's such a long time in dog years, but Karen was even older. Frank came back to the den, drunk on what Tanuka said was...alcohol. He's much better at understanding humans than I am. He just corrected me that humans live in a 'house'...not a den. Whatever. Shut up, Nuka. I'm telling the story now. Boo on you for giving it up. Anyway, Frank was drunk, but, most times, he was.

For some reason, he started yelling at Karen. Usually, Josh was off at a friend's den, but tonight he was home. He saw what was going on and sprang into action. Frank ended up knocking Joshua to the floor. Before I knew what I was doing, I threw myself at Frank, my internal instincts kicking in, urging me to protect my humans. I did just that as a haze of red fell over my vision. When the red cleared, Frank was lying in a slowly growing pool of blood, clutching his arm. Karen was yelling at Josh to get away from me, obviously afraid that I would attack him from the fear scent rolling off of her. But Joshua knew I wouldn't hurt him, that I was only protecting him.

He grabbed me by my collar and pulled me quickly to the front door. Tanuka ran after us. Joshua was quick to load us into his truck and set off from the den as siren sounds neared closer to the den. We drove for what seemed like hours, and stopped at the edge of the forest. Joshua got out of the truck and ushered Tanuka and I out of the cab. Then, he proceeded to take off our collars. And, then, he did something he never did: he snarled at us. He snarled and growled and howled at us, wanting us to go away. I didn't want to go away from him. I loved him! He was my human! Was he mad at me for attacking Frank? I only wanted to protect him! But Tanuka understood. He quickly shoved me into the forest, and we ran. It was only later in the coming weeks that I got why Joshua did what he did. He didn't hate me for saving him. He was protecting us, like I protected him.

Ever since then, Tanuka and I have been on our own together. Hunting and surviving and living. Maybe one day, we'll go back to Josh. I won't admit this to Tanuka, since I'm the tough one...but I really miss our human.

Well imagine,
As I'm pacing the pews in a church corridor,
And I can't help but to hear,
No, I can't help but to hear an exchanging of words...

» name;; Castila.
» age;; Three years of age.
» gender;; Female.
» breed;; Golden Retriever.

Castila was born as a house pet; her mother had belonged to a rather kind couple who had lived in a luxurious house. Castila had a single brother, whom she spent every waking moment rough housing with. She and her brother were fed three times a day, and had their own separate dog beds. Castila was content with the idea of this lifestyle and mused over having her own collar. Though, it was on a cold, rainy day she discovered those fantasies would not become a reality. Castila had been invited into the car which she had eagerly jumped into; it was then she was driven to a remote part of the city she had come to know and was shooed out of the car. Alone and cold, she learned the ropes of the city of the life for the next two and a half years, surviving off of dumpster scraps and finding shelter in boxes, that is until she spotted a pack of stray city dogs. Castila is a kind-hearted and good-natured dog. She is a loyal Golden Retriever and will stay true to her kin. She is more of a listener, a follower, or a silent partner. If you need her for moral support, she'll be there, but is of a more timid, soft-spoken character. Castila has mixed emotions regarding humans since being left to fend for herself, she is sympathetic. She loves being in the company of others, and misses her brother terribly. She loves her kin as well, and would do everything and anything to keep them safe; although she may seem sweet and as if she may not do so much as hurt a fly, she'd rip up anyone who threatened her flesh and blood (family).

Image
» height;; 54 cms
» weight;; 75 lbs
» hair;; varying shades of gold.
» eyes;; brown/golden, amber.

Castila has an admirable golden coat and seductive amber eyes that piece the moonlight. Her coat is thick with varying shades of gold, her back a rich golden whilst the tip of her tail appears to be a light golden color. On her chest, there is a faint white as there is on her stomach. Castila has a rather muscular build, which is noticeable especially in her shoulders and haunches. She has a rather medium sized head, and a smaller snout, that although rather small, does not prevent her from hunting. Her nimble paws, and sharp claws make her a skilled hunter, and makes it rather easy for her to catch squirrels and such. He pelt thins in the blistering summers while it is thick and insulating in the gelid and bitter winters.
