Saphira

Saphira shrugged for about the 50th time. "Barely." She corrected herself. The blacksmith chuffed again. "Oh, you young'uns. So dim-witted." She chuckled again and got ready to take off. "Now, excuse me. I have some blacksmith stuff to attend to. I don't have much time to talk with you bright little bee-brains." The masked owl swooped off, still chuffing like crazy. Saphira stared as the owl flew off towards the rising sun. "She's got nerve." She muttered through a clenched beak.

    Charcoal stared as the Blacksmith lifted and took off into the sky. "Did she just use an oxymoron?" He asked himself, obviously referring to how she used the statement "bright little bee-brains." Because bees aren't smart - and bright means smart. Wait, why was he thinking like this? He was really starting to learn how to irritate himself. He scratched the ground with his talons. "Well, let's see if we can find a Blacksmith or a Collier who isn't like ... that." He murmured to his sister.

Saphira ( sorry for not replying )

Saphira shrugged for the 51st time. "All I know is that she needs to respect." She muttered crossly.
She turned to Charcoal. "How about Conny? You know, King Soren's apprentice? Well, former apprentice."
Conny was one of the best Colliers in the Great Tree, taught by King Soren himself. "I know he's the Colliering rub now, but still." She paused and sighed, silently hitting her on the head. Stop acting like a nitwit!
"Oh, forget it." She murmured groggily. "I'm going to bed." She swooped down into a small hollow in the pine tree the two were perching in. She grabbed as many talonfuls of pine needles as she could and started swallowing them. "Come on! Do I have to do all the burping?"

    Charcoal glanced at his sister, obviously confused, and entered the hollow with her as well. Sighing, he started grabbing the pine needles, too, and swallowed as much as he could. "Glaux," he murmured. "It feels like a million tiny ice swords are going down my throat by the minute!" He grunted, then began swallowing some more. It wasn't the most pleasant thing to swallow but it did have a minty taste, he had to admit, which was pretty good if he said so himself. "You know that ... " he said between shoving the needles down his throat and swallowing, "Conny is dead, right? He died during the Great Mending, you know, when that tornado destroyed the Ring? and all of the malcadh's were no longer cursed or whatever and they were mended?" He questioned. He had some decent knowledge about the Beyond and their wolves before they went to the Distant Blue. He had always been interested in the Dire Wolves, so, whenever he wasn't looking at joke books in the library of the Great Ga'Hoole Tree, he would often be found reading about the Beyond, Beyond the Beyond, and the Dire Wolves from both of those places. Like their traditions and their Clans and all that good stuff.

Saphira

Saphira nearly choked on a pine needle. Sticky sap oozed onto her throat and slowly dripped across its surface. She swallowed and tried harping up the thick liquid and stuck firmly onto her throat. "Ugh... gross." She muttered as she clutched her throat and coughed again. "Yea, I guess Conny did die." She silently hit herself on the head again. Why did she have to do so dumb? She cleared her throat again and finally got the sap off. "If I have to eat something sweet again, it'll be too soon." She looked out the hallow and cocked her head, listening. Barn owls had extraordinary hearing senses, after all. She heard the soft beating of a mouse heart, and the scrape of little feet as they scurried over tree roots. She took off her satchel and swooped down, her plumes silently catching the morning breezes. Morning breezes? Oh. It's daytime. Great. And of course there are a bajillion crows in the Beyond. She caught sight of a small gray shape skittering around and nibbling on small nuts. There we go.
She swooped down further and caught the mouse, killing it with her outstretched talons. She relaxed and flapped her wings as hard as she could, escaping the pine forests and the snow as she went higher and higher.

{Can I reserve a guardian of Ga'hoole named Gale (barred owl male) a collier named Soot (burrowing owl female) and an owlet of the pure ones named Vladimir (barn owl male)? None of which would be related. I am currently on mobile so I can't make very intricate forms until tomorow. Thank you.}}
