xxxxxxxxxxThe short-coated fae had awoken bright and early that morning, standing up and stretching, rolling her shoulders slightly, satisfied as she heard them crack. She slipped out of the small den, and began to slowly pad through the camp, honestly quite glad that she didn't see anyone else up yet. For one of two reasons. Either it would be a brute trying to flirt, or a wolf treating her badly. She shook her head lightly, trying to clear away the thoughts, as she entered the undergrowth of the forest, her bright blue eyes scanning, her ears perked, looking for a meal for herself, since she would obviously get in trouble if she ate before another of higher rank. And, quite truthfully, she would rather not have the first thing that she had to deal with that morning be a punishment for an action she should not have been doing.

xxxxxxxSir Alek wasn't very successful during his morning hunting trip due to his thoughts, but it was a tad victorious. He caught an injured female deer, a doe. Luckily, the doe was freshly injured so her wound had no infections within them. Alek easily caught her since his size and strength were larger than hers and the young doe's herd was no where in sight; abandoned perhaps? He wasn't quite sure of it. Alek began to drag to light doe back to camp to share with the other Foggy Skies Wolves, but all he saw at camp was one of their Omegas, Phoebe. He let go of the deer and walked over to the fae. "Good morning, Phoebe. Are you alright? You look a bit relieved, but nervous." He spoke gently to her, watching her.

kuroi settled into an easy pace beside the chocolaty fae, black paws making little noise against the hard earth. one dark ear flicked to the side as she spoke once more, letting a soft sigh escape his maw. "i appreciate it, aurora. although i'm sure most of the pack knows where my mind lies half the time." he murmured softly, referring to his late chrona, his mate for a year, who passed away just before he took the rank of alpha. he had long since accepted that she was gone and moved on, but she was often the object on his mind. kuroi had only recently begun thinking about looking for a new mate, just because he no longer wished to be alone in the rank he held. he needed company. he needed help.

abbr flicked one gray ear to the side as he heard quickly approaching paw steps, used to the hurried routine of a patient rushing for help. he had been doing this all his life, if not for a different pack. abbr had been born in ghost peaks, raised under the healer, and driven away by his sister, satire's, bad attitude. he arrived in this pack, took his position as the healer firmly, not accepting questions and giving no answers. he had been working as the healer for this pack for nearly nine months now, and had made no friends, he didn't really care to. one breath told him that this fae had just experienced a run-in with a less than desirable friend. abbr placed one small gray paw on a small pile of rough, thick green leaves, pushing them to the side for her to collect. "these are strongly smelling enough to mask the scent. for better results, i would suggest being careful where you stick your nose." he murmured, not even bothering to glance over his shoulder to see who it was. as much as he had gone out of his way to stay reserved, he was used to the rest of the pack avoiding him, making little contact, anything more than a medical question was always unexpected.

xxxxxxxxxxThe chocolate colored female made sure to even her pace out with his, over a short period of walking, not too quick but not drudgingly slow either. Her paws made little noise as she walked, the silky, thick fur of hers even between her paws, slightly curling under and making her pawsteps nearly undetectable. She twisted her ears around towards him as they walked, taking a slight side glance, her dark mocha eyes filled with compassion, as she gently reached over and nuzzled him, not romantically of course, just to show him her support. "Of course, dear Kuroi. We all know, and I personally will do whatever I can to help ease the pain, if you would like. Just tell me what do do and it shall be done. I hate seeing anyone of the pack members in pain, emotional turmoil is the worst, in my opinion. Physical pain can be endured, but mental pain takes time to heal." The fae's words were wise, far beyond her years, but truthful. She knew the pain of loss.

xxxxxxxxxxThe short-coated fae had wandered over to the shade of a decently sized tree, not exactly feeling up to going hunting for herself, knowing that it was autumn and, being so early, there were not likely to be many small enough animals for the little fae to prey on that were awake yet. And so she had to just content herself with sitting under a tree, her body slightly stiff, a bit tense, which was not uncommon. She, being both strange/unique to most wolves here, smaller besides, and an omega, she was a bit jumpy, it was not something worth denying. She had had her ears perked, but had let her eyes slip to the ground in front of her, noticing the little ants trying to carry a berry of some sort and slightly giggling, a soft, rare, adorable sound. Of course, her joy was short lived, for she bounced to her feet within an instant upon hearing the deep voice of her beta, Sir Alek. "Oh uh I'm fine, sir. You know how I am.." She was not always a wolf of so few words, not when once broke through her shell, and gained her trust. But until then, she was afraid of being hurt.

xxxxxxxSir Alek walked closer to Phoebe. His family always respected wolves of the lower rankings, but not all the wolves lived like that. Many teased and oppressed the ones that weren't born to the right bloodline, or the ones that achieved the wrong ranking. He both pitied and was a tad defensive over them, if he ever saw this kind of behavior, even if he took it more lightly than his younger twin sister, Alek was a brute that valued titles, but he still hated to see Omegas oppressed. "Oh, Phoebe. I am not that kind of male. Believe it or not, some nobles are actually kind." Alek said, offering her a soft smile. He looked at her, "are you hungry?"

xxxxxxxxxxThe short-coated fae did not relax, meaning she did not lay back down nor sit, but remained on all four feet, body still tense, no matter what his words were. Omegas were typically treated quite badly, and his kindness was unusual to her. Perhaps a sort of trick of something, a way to make her trust him before mistreating her, or throwing her aside like garbage, embarrassing her in front of the entire pack, the options were limitless. She did not return his smile, as much as she would have liked to, she was a jumpy fae, which is why her front paws were slightly moving in place as she lightly shrugged her shoulders, eyes on the ground, nervous, not wanting to make eye contact. "Well, you see, I didn't get a chance to eat yesterday, b-but I'm fine. I'll just go out later and catch a small squirrel or-or something.." She stuttered out her words, knowing a squirrel was far too small to satisfy her hunger, but didn't want to voice that thought.

kuroi let a soft huff of air escape from his muzzle at her words. "i appreciate the concern, but it was eleven months ago. my mind is at rest, though i will not deny that i miss her. i was, thinking about looking for a mate this year. perhaps it would do me good." he responded in a soft tone, glancing over at the chocolaty fae beside him, deep brown eyes holding a friendly expression. it wasn't as though he were revealing a shocking secret, he was simply being honest, saying it was time for him to move on. the black brute had never cared much whether the other wolves chose mates among themselves, while most packs allowed only high ranking wolves to do so. honestly, as long as the pack was happy, he was.

leto drew himself to his paws, a soft ball of gray fur crashing to the ground beside him. his sister, missy, whom had been sleeping against his side. the white brute shook his head, remaining silent, as cold blue eyes scanned the camp. he has stood guard most of the night, like every night, and for some reason missy had insisted on staying with him, even though she fell asleep just moments after he began his watch. now, the male needed something else to do. perhaps a hunt, or a patrol, just anything to keep him working for the pack, as was his job. icy orbs landed on elizabeth, their alpha, perched just outside her den. perhaps she would have a task for him.

silent paws carried him over the cold green earth, tail swinging behind him, level with his back as a show of respect for the higher ranked wolf. bushy ears were pushed forward, face emotionless, all business. like always. leto's every day actions were more than predictable. "good morning, miss." his tone was light, respectful, serious, eyes holding a calm expression.
