Vinyl turned to the male throwing dirt onto Roosevelt. He ran at him and growled in his face, skidding to a stop and chomping his jaws at the air. "No disrespect in this pack, even if she is a low rank. You can become one as well," he growled and turned his body away and flicked his tail in anger and he snorted. He walked off and laid on the all seeing rock.

Evya

Evya snorted as the black furred male leapt straight into the thick of it. Still, perhaps he'd planned the attack better than she'd thought- it could not be by chance that he was chasing down one of the younger (and therefore weaker) beasts in the herd. Unfortunately, one of the perks of being youthful was having a mother to protect you (though this was something Ever herself had never experienced) and the she-wolf was not surprised- though perhaps mildly irritated- when a decently sized cow elk pulled herself apart from the herd and made a charge for the lone wolf. Just my luck. By the size of what must be the animal's calf, it could really only be a matter of weeks from weaning. Evya gave a gutteral snarl to alert the beast that Illusion was not as unprotected as she thought, and as the elk spun around Ever snapped her teeth into the animal's rump, using her forepaws to grip on as the elk twisted in disorientated circles before finally being thrown of by a buck. Landing lithely on her feet and thanking the wolf gods that she had not been injured in the fall, Evya launched her attack once more, weaving between the hooves that seemed to flail everywhere to give Illusion time to finish the job unhindered.
Evya was not attempting to kill the cow elk- that was all but suicide for a wolf without backup- but she thought she could hold it off for a while longer until Illusion made his kill. Hopefully then, he'd flash his bloodstained teeth at the animal and she'd realise that not only was her calf dead, but that she was outnumbered. He better let me share his kill... is the only thought Evya has time for before she places a well aimed set of teethmarks on the animal's flank. No time for celebration, though- Ever only just dodged a hoof that she would have sworn was stationed on the ground.
"Hurry up"
A wolf can only spar with a fully grown elk for so long before she gets kicked, and Evya would rather not be injured for the sake of a meal that she may or may not get her fair share of.

Illusion fought with the calf they had gone at, the other elk had ran off. He narrowed his eyes at Evya. "Shut up, don't rush me." he growled. Fighting the calf alongside of her. As it was a good fight, and the calf was stronger then most Illusion grabbed it by its throat and ripped across it. Taking out its jugular. With that it fell down the ground with a loud thud, and he pushed Evya out of the way so she didn't get hurt. He stared at the dead calf and grinned. He nodded and he waited for it to go completely. He walked up to it, sniffing it and then ripped into its side and began to eat. He looked at Evya, "Feel free to have some darling," he said but without the usual with a sarcastic tone.

Apparently, a brief reminder that Illusion existed was enough to get the cow elk to abandon her cause- Evya aimed one well timed snap at the animal's legs as it hurtled after it's herd. Evya had been moving to the side was the calf crashed to the ground, but apparently her shuffle had not been obvious enough for Illusion, and she ended up being slammed rather gracelessly to the side...perhaps he was making up for leaving her with an enraged cow elk? Either way, she was able to regain her balance quickly enough and given that no harm had really been done she decided to let her minor irritation was had possibly been an act of good will lie. "Yeah, I think I'm entitled too it, love." she muttered with a slight raise of her eyebrow, positioning herself at an angle by the kill so that she could watch him while she ate. He may have proved himself to be not completely intolerable, but the blood frenzy did strange things to wolves.
