:I would never bother you
I would never promise to
I would never follow you
I would never bother you
Never speak a word again
I will crawl away for good...

Marlis was looking at Crow expectantly, smile big and eyes were bright. In all truth, Marlis did not predict his next words though. It had never crossed her mind that he might possibly say no. Slowly, her smile disappeared as he kept talking. He had completely blew off her offer. Sure, he was busy and under a lot of pressure right now...but that was the point! It's hard to make good decisions when you're under pressure. The others were stressed too...Ah, nothing is fair...Most likely it will never be. Marlis wanted to protest, she almost did, but the memory of getting her face smashed into the dirt because of Lark came back to her. She was just going to make him mad.
The crestfallen Marlis finally nodded meekly to Crow before turning away to go wait at the entrance for the others. Head down, tail dragging, she looked just like a fae who was mourning over the death of someone she loved. It was quite pathetic. This was a terribly sensitive wolf. Though generally positive, it's not too hard to change her mood. Her depression quickly changed to bitterness though. You could just feel it emanating out of her. No one ever listened to her. Why? Was it because she was small? Because of her rank? Because of her personality? Was it her ugliness? Or maybe it was all of these factors....It wasn't fair. She was trying her best. She really was! So why was she all alone and ignored? Oh she was tired...
"You shouldn't be bugging the alpha." a voice said to her, dragging her out of her bitter thoughts. She turned her head to see it was Mikhail, ugh. The copper wolf looked patient and collected, but his eyes seemed to be saying something like, "how dumb are you to bug the alpha!?" Marlis gave the copper wolf a pout, but made sure her ears were lowered respectfully. This was Mikhail. A very polite wolf that always seemed to have a good head on his shoulders....Or at least when he's in public with other high ranked wolves. Marlis knew of his hatred for the lower ranks though. This was a very violent wolf.
"He said no..." she grumbled at Mikhail, referring to Crow.
"Well of course he did." Mikhail responded back with a huff. Marlis just got even more frustrated.
"Everything is over now! He denied the path of happiness! Now we're all going to be ruled by intelligent quails! We're doomed! Misfortune awaits us!" she blurted out, looking like she was about to have a fit. Mikhail had no idea what the heck she was talking about. This wolf was not right in the head. Must be an omega thing. Mikhail sighed.
"Geez...just be quiet and get prepared for the hunt. If I overheard correctly...you said a storm is coming...right? So best to gather up food as soon as possible." he tried to reason with her. An odd look came into the fae's eyes though when he said that. It's true..that is what she said...but now that she thought about it...
"Now that I'm really pondering about this...I don't think a storm is the main culprit here...The animals are tense...but when it's a storm...it's kinda like a tense/nervous irritation...but this tension is just one of plain fear...Do you smell the smoke? Fire. That's rare for winter....but it cant be anything big...and it's probably quite far away. If my guess is right...there is indeed a fire. But it should die down before it gets near us..." Marlis said thoughtfully as she looked up into the sky, clearly going over the weather patterns in her head. If life gave her one blessing than it was hunting. However, Mikhail wasn't going to buy that. A stupid filthy wolf like her cant possibly know anything about weather changes and animal behavior. He wondered who this wolf thought she was.
"Marlis. I think you're stepping out of line. You don't know anything about this stuff, so please don't try and act like you do. Now why don't you go wait for the hunt to start at the entrance? You're an eyesore to see at the center of camp with that disgusting fur. Oh, and please...work hard?" he finished his words with a smooth smile to try and hid his venomous words that he spoke ever so gently. Marlis wasn't fooled. But with that, Mikhail walked off. Marlis sighed and went to the entrance and dramatically fell to the ground, moping. She wasn't trying to act like she knew stuff. She was just voicing her observations and theories. Being the most outspoken of the omegas isn't always the best thing it seems...Actually....speaking of omegas....she wondered where Sora and Diana were. She hadn't seen the two today yet. Not that it mattered much she guessed. And with that, Marlis waited for the others to get ready as she laid on the ground, moping.

Hesitate to ask someone else first
I'm too busy acting like I'm not naive...

Mikhail sighed to himself as he walked away from Marlis. What a pain. But at least she was leaving camp. It frustrated him that Crow never seemed to give her beatings like he always hoped for. But who was he to question the alpha? A wolf that was not white? Anyways, Crow had said he wished to speak with the beta and high faes. He was not mentioned....not that it was a surprise. As much as Mikhail hated to admit it...he was probably the lowest rank of the high ranked wolves. He was the gamma. Sometimes he was not included in certain discussions or things. This may be one of them. Of course he wasn't sure about that yet. He did know for a fact though that he wasn't going on a dumb little hunting party. He hated hunting. He wanted to be included in the discussion, just so he knew how things were going, how everyone was acting and feeling...and of their opinions of the subjects they speak of. You learn a lot about a wolf through their opinions and reactions. For the first time since the passing of his brother, Mikhail felt like getting involved with everything once again.
Mikhail then approached Crow himself, giving the black wolf a polite dip of his head.
"Excuse me, dear Alpha...May I request to be a part of the discussion too? If nothing more than to at least observe and to know how everything is going?" he asked Crow very politely, acting calm as usual when with the higher ranks.
