Jessamyn loped through the snowy forest. She was alone, like she had been for the past half year. Her pelt did not hide her here, not as well as in the mountains. If she was going to stay here, really stay, she would have to get used to the lack of camoflauge. Just as the scent of rabbit filled the air, Jessamyn saw it. It was rather small for this time of year, it had probably been born late. But it was food, and Jessamyn was starving. She got downwind from the delicious package of meat, and stalked it carefully. When she got within pouncing range, she paused, staring at the rabbit a second longer. But then she pounced, and killed the rabbit. She lifted up the body, and was going to carry it to a clump of bushes to be out of the chilly wind when she smelled it, even through the rabbit. She dropped the food reluctantly, and smelled again. Wolves. And several of them. Jessamyn halted, considering going to meet them. After all, she loved being around others, and being a hermit didn't suit her. Jessamyn picked up the rabbit in her jaws and headed towards where they seemed to be living. A few appeared to smell her, but she continued forwards with her offering in her jaws.
