your face looks like one. rosedust playfully teased the tom. oh, i love the water! i'm a good swimmer, unlike some of the clanmates. like i said, starclan felt pity on me. she spoke, her voice light hearted and humorous. oh no, i'm far too fast. i would be foxlengths away before your clumsy paws could catch me. she playfully meowed. lifting up her small paw, she swiped it into the water, spraying gorsefur with the liquid.

whitewisp knew what she did was wrong, but she needed to prove that she trusted her clanmates, more than she did to coalstar. so, after she watched the two cats walk off, she headed straight to coalstar's den. but as she was about to walk in, the white cat heard a voice; grayfeather's. twitching her whiskers, whitewisp walked off to the side, sitting as she calmly listened to him. it wasn't technically eavesdropping, as cats were suppost to wait outside his den if they wished to talk to him. it was just an accident whitewisp happened to hear.

Longstripe

the warrior smiled and placed a paw upon the apprentice's head. "How about we stop for today? We can pick it up tomorrow and we finally get into the good part of fighting." he said before removing his paw and standing on all fours, stretching his frame out a bit. He could tell that Spiderpaw was a bit tired, probably from all the jumping about he had done. "Maybe if we are lucky, we might spot a mouse foraging for food on our way back." he smirked before turning to the opening of the hallow and breathed in deeply and exhaling quickly, the fresh air calming his lungs.

"No, your face looks like one!" He purred, amused. He then gave her a questioning look. "You can swim? Can you tell me how?" he asked. "Remember, I'm your humble apprentice who certainly never called you a fish." He purred ad made himself look a little smaller, if that's possible. He twitched his tail. "Show me your ways, O Rosedust."

Spiderpaw
Spiderpaw nodded. "Okay. I'm actually getting tired," the black-pelted apprentice admitted, yawning. "This was fun, though! I can hardly wait until next time." He followed Longstripe out of the hollow, hoping to see a mouse to eat. He glanced around, but sadly, saw none. I wonder if Longstripe can teach me hunting tomorrow...That would be cool. but I also want to fight more...and patrol...and...oh I just don't know! He sighed, flicking his ear.

oh, now you're being nice. rosedust gently and playfully cuffed him on the ear. looking farther down the river, she noticed the sudden calmness. alright, why not? first, you always have to keep your head above water. she informed, slowly walking into the river until it reached the small cat's chest. you should feel like you're running without ground beneath your paws. like... you're walking in the air. but if you have a thick pelt or you don't eat a lot of fish, then it can be very difficult. luckily, my pelt is thin and i enjoy fish, so water seems to glide across it. and don't panic while you're in. if you panic or struggle, then you have a high risk of drowning.

Gorsefur
Gorsefur got in the calm river next to her. His pelt was thin, and he liked a good fish every now and then, so the water was smooth against his pelt. It felt kind of unnatural, but he trusted Rosedust, so he took slow breaths until it felt okay. The water was slightly warm and not cold, and it felt good. But he knew standing in the water wasn't swimming. After a while he asked, "When do we swim?"

Longstripe

Once back at camp, Longstripe dismissed his apprentice and went to lay down in the warrior's den. He plopped down in one of the nests and released a content sigh. He was glad that the apprentice was excited for next time, he seemed to just be a bundle of energy even though he was tired. The tom simply lay there, watching anything that moved outside the den with what appeared to be little interest, his thoughts were still stuck on the training. Soon his mind was clear of those thoughts and e could rest with ease, he had a feeling that no one would bother him unless is was necessary so he left his blue orbs close while he took in the sound of what appeared to be birds in nearby trees.

Spiderpaw
Spiderpaw padded into the apprentice's den, still thinking of his training. He curled up in his nest and closed his eyes, waiting for sleep to come. He slowly drifted off into dreamworld, except tonight he didn't dream. He slept very peacefully. he was completely worn out because of training, but he had love it.

''it's alright,'' rosedust gently mowed. feeling her body tense, she forced herself to relax once he spoke again. "whenever you're ready,'' she spoke, not wanting to rush the tom as she remembered her first time in the water.

''morning-glow!" rosepaw yowled, the water almost to her chin. "what do i do?'' she yowled in fear, despite not actually swimming yet. "start swimming!" the she-cat spoke, already far head in the deeper end of the small lake. giving a frightened squeak, she walked forward, beginning to swim. as a wave of confidence washed over her, fear soon struck her like a tsunami. rosepaw let out a yowl, her head sinking below the water. up above, she heard her beloved mentor call her name. fighting against the water, rosepaw tried to reach the surface. soon, rosepaw felt her lungs burn desperately for oxygen. 'i'm drowning!' the realization struck her as she struggled against the water, though it just pulled her down deeper. her lungs giving another desperate burn, it soon went away as rosepaw grew limp.

Frecklepaw nodded at his words. "I hav'nt been out training with Amberflight yet. I bet shes really good." she said with a slight flick of the tail once Ravenclaw had left. Then, a thought came to mind. Where is Spiderpaw? they usually stuck around, but it was okay. He might be training. "I dont mind fish." she said, responding to his earlier statment. "There just not my favorite." she said, and ran her paw over the moss ball.

Amberflight licked his cheek. "I....I might need that. My paw really hurts," she confessed, glancing at her hurt front paw. She grabbed a nearby cobweb and wrapped it around it. "I think that will keep it for a little bit....But....Hurry back, please." She said, nuzzling him and then letting her head fall on the ground, closing her eyes. She lay on the ground, waiting for help.
