Longstripe

Longstripe nodded with a purr. "I assure you I won't harm you and if I accidentally do,I am sorry." he said, unsheathing his claws and flexing them into the ground. He grinned a bit before sheathing them and taking a few steps back and readied himself for when he was to attack Spiderpaw. Tail lashed about behind him, his anticipation grew a bit since he was excited to see what has been learned with simply dodge and attack.

Spiderpaw braced himself the best he could, a little afraid he would be hurt. He couldn't tell that the tom had been joking. He watched Longstripe, looking for the slightest move that would indicate an attack. He watched Longstripe's eyes travel around and his tail flick, then looked away from the tail and right into Longstripe's eyes, to try and unnerve him. He twitched his own tail to try and be a distraction.

Longstripe

Longstripe narrowed hims eyes and lowered his frame down close to the ground then quickly threw his body to one side. He decided to attack from a different angle since it was something that would be off guard to him. He then quickly launched his large frame at Spiderpaw, ears pulled back some as he grinned, feeling he had the apprentice where he wanted him. I have you now..." he said as his frame grew closer to the tom's.

Spiderpaw had been expecting he would pull something sneaky, and already knew what to do. He flattened himself to the ground, faking fear for a moment, then jumped and landed on his back. He rolled off and then darted to the other side of the training hollow. "Oh, do you?" He questioned innocently, licking a black paw and meeting his eyes. He braced himself though, knowing his mentor would not be fazed by this and keep attacking.

then you're on your own. she happily joked, nudging him in the shoulder. taking a few more steps forward, she sat down and began to lick her paws while watching him. hmm, knows about his shadow. might not be a bad fi- she took back the thought as he fell in, sitting down, she awaited his resurface. "i caught it," she heard him speak as she gave a giggle. well, a good hunter catches good prey like that. but, good hunters also don't fall in the water. she spoke, obvious amusement and enjoyment in her voice. walking over to him, she sat closer by the bank. your swipe was wrong. it's more like this. she spoke, batting gorsefur powerfully once with her paw.

"oh, i remember when i was a queen." spottedcloud purred. "pesky little furballs they were, but aren't all kits? but fawnkit was the most mischievous out of the four." she meowed, mentioning the deputy's mother. "always bugging the elders and the warriors, but they all loved her. even when she became a warrior she couldn't help but pester the clan." she purred. all of the elders including brokenleg loved the kits; even snowspot. brokenleg knew he most likely wouldn't ever get the chance to have kits of his own, so he took pride in watching over the queen's kits.

Longstripe blinked in surprise, he hadn't expected him to react so quickly. He simply stood up and gave the apprentice a smile. "You have learned well. Want to move forward in your training?" he questioned, placing his frame upon it's haunches. He was glad to see he had learned from the little training that happened but it would become very useful for him. His gaze quickly scanned the area, then focused back on what was happening before him, he didn't want to get caught off guard again.

Tigerclaw chuckled as he listened to the elder's chatting.He couldn't help but put in his past experiences as a kit."I remember how I would always manage to sleep in the warriors den,feeling the thrill of being a warrior,"he meowed,his eyes sparkling with a sense of mischief he had when he was a kit.He would always pester the medicine cat though,no matter how grumpy the fellow tom was- he had always loved his company.The elders had always commented on how bouncy he was and that he was always full of energy.He felt a pang of homesickness but he reminded himself how he belonged to Timberclan now.He looked back at the elders,grinning.

The tom nodded, relaxing slightly but not completely letting his guard down. "Sure." He enjoyed fighting very much and didn't mind doing it more. But I almost fell when I landed on Longstripe's back. I need to be more careful., he thought to himself. I don't know if I'll be able to jump so high again. He scratched an ear with his back leg.

Gorsefur
Gorsefur shook his fur off, making sure to get some one Rosedust. "What, am I a fish now?" he purred. He dropped the fish and shook some more. "Ugh, water," he sighed. Then he returned the swipe to her. "Like this? If you were a fish, I'd have caught you?" He purred with amusement. "I think I'll eat this fish, then you can show me." He quickly swallowed the small fish and then looked over to her. She had all of his attention.

Longstripe

Longstripe wandered over to where he was and sat down in front of him. He unsheathed his claws and swung one of his paws over Spiderpaw's head, making sure to not get too close to his ears. It was a quick, clean swipe that ended with him running his tongue over that paw. "You have to remember to make sure to not let your guard down to where a warrior can get you when a fight has begun. You could easily be taken down." he said sternly but not in a harsh way. "Now why don't you show me how fast you can swipe at me."

Spiderpaw nodded and then immediately flashed a paw out at his chest, the returned it. It was not as fast as Longstripe, nowhere near it, but he was just an apprentice. Spiderpaw wish he could do better, but he was getting a little tired from all the jumping. He didn't say anything, though, and he made a point to stay alert in case Longstripe tried anything funny, like sneaking up on him. He tried again, this time a little faster, but still, nowhere near the warrior's.
