purring at gorsefur, she looked forwards as she slowly padded towards the elder's den. where's everyone else? rosedust curiously asked, dropping the mouse in front of brokenleg's paws. "gossiping; as usual," brokenleg purred in amusement. pushing the mouse to the side, he knew he'd better save it for the others. we're going to the moor. rosedust spoke as brokenleg looked at her in surprise. "quite a long ways. what's coalstar sending you for?" brokenleg asked. as rosedust opened her mouth to reply, the black cat cut her off. "pesky she-cat. i know you're going out on your own. they won't be very happy, especially with the distance!" brokenleg exclaimed. as the three legged cat looked away from rosedust, he looked at gorsefur. "good day, gorsefur." the elder politely spoke, flicking his ears.

Frecklepaw smiled. "I bet its hard being the leader of the clans apprentice, eh?" she said, and tiny body shifting some. She hoped she had'nt offended him. Mousebrain, what if you did!? she thought, getting a little angry, but she was interupted by a unknown warrior- from what she thought- bumped into them. "Hello." she said a little shyly, forgetting about being mad. Frecklepaw shifted again, moving just a tad twords Sharppaw, since he was bigger and older. Then, the thought came back to mind: Amberflight is going to take me on a training session! but then, she was interupted, yet again, by a cat speaking. When she looked from the unknown warrior to Sharppaw, she listened of him saying it was okay. She looked down, just not wanting to look up know. She felt like the warrior was staring at her.

- - - - - - - I lay in camp, just near the edge. The sound of water and birds and, of course, many cats filling my ears. The scent of cat flooding my nose, so strong and thick. But I was used to it. I spent a lot of time in camp...I flicked my tail in boredom. There was a tugging at my paws and a tingling in my muscles. Hunting? No, too much work. Patrol? Too boring. I flicked an ear as I 'looked around camp. I perked my ears, picking up every mew or whisper that a cat dared to utter. I sighed as I found nothing of interest. I rolled over onto my back and stretched. I flexed my paws, clawing at the air. With the muscles of arms loosened, I rolled over onto my other side. I blinked. My sister was out hunting already. I rose to my paws, ready to do something. Glad to at least be walking, I padded towards the camp entrance. I smelled the cats in the camp, and easily weaved my way through them. I rushed through the camp exit, the ferns and brambles rustling as almost ran through. As came into the fresh-smelling forest, I broke into a run. I bounded through the woods, the wind rushing through my fur. After a moment or two, I slowed to a stop. I sat down, my heart racing from the short run. My whiskers were more then helpful. Without them, I'd probably dead from head injury from running into trees all the time! I let my heart slow, thoughts fly, and the scents and sounds of the forest flow to me...

Gorsefur

"Good day, Brokenleg." The tom responded cheerfully. "And she's not going alone." Gorsefur felt his stomach rumble and wished he could eat the mouse. He felt a wave of excitement, like he often did before something fun happened. He knew that this trip to the moor would be great. He really hoped Brokenleg didn't tell anyone.

Spiderpaw

Spiderpaw blinked open his bright green eyes and gazed around the empty apprentice den. As usual, he had slept in very late and no one else was there. Yawning, he got up and left the den, blinking more as the bright sunlight hit him. He stretched out the sleepiness and glanced around, wondering where his mentor or sister was. His black fur looked kind of brown in the light, and he didn't like that, so he moved over and sat in the shade.

narrowing his eyes at gorsefur, brokenleg opened his mouth to say something, but quickly closed it. i wish you both the best of luck. brokenleg purred as rosedust gave a happy purr in reply, turning around as she happily walked out, her fur bristling with excitement. but before gorsefur left, brokenleg abruptly stopped him. take care of her, brokenleg sternly spoke, though there was amusement in his eyes.

waiting until the two left, another cat came into the elder's den. hello, morning-glow, brokenleg happily meowed, nudging the mouse towards her. "i would ask what rosefur and gorsedust were talking about, but i'm not 'gonna." she spoke as brokenleg purred in amusement at the two swapped around names.

"I will," the dusty tom purred back. He could tell Brokenleg was amused. He dashed out of the den, following Rosedust. "Wait for me!" He quickly caught up to her and followed her out of camp.
Once they were safely away from prying ears, he said, "I'm gonna go try and catch something." He would've grabbed something at the freshkill pile, but he liked things when they were just caught.

looking over her shoulder, rosedust gave a silent purr. i'll come so you don't hurt yourself. rosedust gently joked with the tom. following him, she was stopped by a voice. "where are you going?" a rather elegant voice asked. turning around rosedust prodded gorsefur with her tail. "oh, hello whitewisp." rosedust spoke to the slightly bigger she-cat. just going for a hunt. she calmly responded. "dear starclan, half of the warriors aren't in patrols." whitewisp sharply spoke, giving a sigh. "well, i know where you're going." whitewisp spoke bluntly. wh- how? rosedust asked. there goes the marvelous adventure. "well, i am stealthy, sneaky, and sly. i know everything. but, i'll tell coalstar i sent you and gorsefur out to examine the moor; make sure it's still safe." whitewisp spoke. and without waiting for a reply, the distant deputy turned around and walked off.

Gorsefur
The tom watched as the deputy padded off, her white figure fading in the distance. "...Are we still going?" He asked after a moment of silence. The deputy had surprised him, and he didn't know if she would keep her word, but he liked to see the best in cats. "I don't think she's gonna get us in trouble..." He still really wanted to go and see the moor with Rosedust. He enjoyed her company.
