Quinn’s brows furrowed together at the fae’s soft reply, and her bow, confused slightly. Quinn had only ever bowed to her alpha, and Clarence was too familiar to her that it would be strange bowing to him every time they saw each other. She neglected to bow in return, unsure if it was expected of her or not, though her doubt only showed briefly in the flash of her bright gaze, impossibly green in the light. “You’ll have to go to our alpha for that, loner,” she replied uneasily as Ruby padded up beside her and she shifted her weight a little in an attempt to protect her, and prevent the unknown fae’s eyes from seeing the other warrior’s weakness. The confrontation had gone out of her bounds of knowledge, though she was able to confidently guess strangers couldn’t just hop in and join the pack anytime they wished.
