Amara gave the barest tilt of her chin in response to the nod Sera sent her, still shy and resisting the urge to shuffle her feet with shyness. She noticed the light gleam of interest in the opposite dove's eyes when they were upon her, and the soot-hued dove felt her insides flutter nervously. At Sera's request for a tour, Amara felt her heart plummet with exhaustion, but luckily allowed nothing but the faintest crease in her forehead to appear. Despite her best efforts to mask her expression, however, her reluctance came in the slowness of her response, tail remaining between her legs as her paws shifted on the ground. This fae deserved Amara's best behavior - she seemed kind, and enthusiastic, open. Amara couldn't help being exhausted by all the other trips she had taken the last 2 days. Not physically, but mentally.
But then came Sera's final sentence, and the change in Amara was immediate, as if she been spurred. One onyx paw stepped forward, head tilting as she leaned faintly forward in a physical expression of earnestness and appeasement. "No, no, it's alright," the frail dove hurried, "I'd be glad to help show you around." No matter the circumstances, her unfailing duty to the pack and any of its members were to serve, assist, and appease. It was nearly instinct by now to help whenever help was needed. She was to be happy to help, even. And so she proffered a shy smile to Sera - nothing big, only the faintest curl of her lips - and then looked to Roan and spoke softly. "You don't have to go, of course." She told the mahogany furred brute gently, but feared offending him so she added quickly, "But you are welcome to come along."
((Yay for choppy writing! I'm rusty but I'm excited to finally write for Amara again - I missed her. Also, Rocious, I think it's so cute how Sera thinks Roan and Amara must be a budding couple))
