((Sorry for the wait, had a couple days of early bed/returning home/bus recovery, but I'm back in action again!)
Amos nodded as he and his twilight companion arrived back in the wind-strewn camp, a telltale gust of mountain air tousling the pair as if to remind them of the wilderness that constantly surrounded them. With a quick glance, the mahogany brute took in Sparrow's lean features, her wiry muscles that some might not have noticed beneath her flashing plush undercoat. No, Sparrow was not a fae he would ever overlook, with her delicately sculpted facial features, guarded gaze and beautifully tipped ears. Arriving at his den, a mere dugout supported by the spindly roots of a ravaged sapling, he turned to his companion, personal bubbles at the back of his mind as he touched his snowy white toes to hers. "I'm afraid this is where we part, little bird," he murmured, the nickname slipping past his lips effortlessly as a slanted umber orb seemed to twinkle and wink in the shifting moonlight.

Opal laughed softly at Finch's response, knowing she should have expected no different from the rustling golden brute. Dipping her paw into the white saiga of her satchel, she pulled one gold and 3 nickel pieces from her coin purse. It was more than one would usually pay for something as simple as glass rings, but before Finch could protest, she placed them directly in his paw. "For the lessons, as well as the rings," she explained with a grin, not wanting him to argue the point. Despite being doted upon by her parents since puphood, Opal had always felt very uncomfortable being granted gratis or discounted services. Did that make her poor at managing money? Perhaps, but it was nicer to know that she was paying a fair wage than having a few extra coins in the bank.
