As Koda called the hunting party together, he noticed Ansuz. The poor brute seemed saddened by Koda's choice in hunters. After a moment of pondering, Koda looked at the forever silent brute. "Ansuz, you can accompany them as well," he added, nodding permission to the male. Then, Koda eyed them all. Yes, this was a good hunting group. "As soon as Illusion joins you all, you may go. The last time the deer were scent was in the northern part of our territory. They were heading away from Wayra territory, so I don't expect there to be any conflicts," he said, emphasizing the last part. Quidel Pack would not stoop to the level of Wayra. They would not be the cause of the trouble, only the end of it.
After bidding them all good luck, the obsidian Alpha exited camp. The fresh forest air hit his face like a battering ram of scents. A few loners, small prey. Nothing to worry about at this point in time. Later, though, Koda would arrange a patrol to find a particular loner (Phantom). The male, he noticed, had been hanging around in Quidel territory for quite some time. And his presence is undoubtedly costing the pack food, which could not happen so close to winter. The thought of the season brought an image to Koda's mind. The Alpha of Wayra Pack, Winter. It was easy to see why the fae was named such a thing, for her snowy coat. Koda shook the thought of her only to realize that his paws were subconsciously carrying him towards the Wayra border. True, he needed to keep the border marks fresh. But in the back of his mind, Koda was hoping for a bit more to happen.

Kimaya

The misty figure watched as another fae appeared. Apparently, from what Kimaya had picked up, her name was Cóte. In respect, Kimaya nodded to the female. Then, she spoke. Her words sank into the white vixen's brain. Just the thought brought a shiver to her spine. Hunting in a group? Having to follow orders on a hunt? What an absurd idea! How are you supposed to adapt to your prey when you are under an order? You can't! However, the vixen hid her hatred of just the thought of a pack hunt. As the black female ended her words, Kimaya picked up on the last part. She responded simply with, "I am sorry to inform you that I do not believe that I can hunt in such a group. I find it hard enough alone, much less under an order." She didn't say it bitterly, just with an honesty as pure as newly fallen snow. Kimaya stood then. "I suppose that I should go. There seems to be nothing more for me here," she said softly. Kimaya stretched her front legs, then turned. Her new direction would take her to the lake.
