Snowpaw looked over at Pumpkinpaw, and purred. "Sure." she said, flicking her tail. She stood up, and then suddenly she heard the voice of Greyeye. She turned around, and her tail and ears drooped as soon as she heard what he said. "Oh, hello Grayeye. I was just going out to- hunt. But, I cant cross the current yet." she said with a flick of the tail, showing that she was nervous, but hoped he didn't notice. "So- Grayeye- what where you off doing?" she said, hoping to change the subject some.

Grayeye twisted his head a bit, and fixed a gaze on the young apprentice. She didn't need to go out to hunt without her mentor, which gave him the inference that she was lying. But he still wouldn't let them get away with anything. Glancing from Pumkinpaw to Snowpaw, he replied, "I wouldn't expect you to be able to cross at this age, even the best of them can't do it without more moons of training than you," he smiled down at her, eye twinkling."Well, I was just going out to but as well! But seeing as your mentor's aren't here, you can not join me." He flicked an ear, registering Snowpaw's nervous tail twitch. Maybe he should tell their mentor's about this? Grayeye's gaze softened a bit.

Spottedfire sat, watching as Cloudpaw hesitated, silently urging him on.
"Its okay! Just Pounce!" she thought to herself, narrowing her eyes against the wind.
When Cloudpaw jumped, time froze around her, and she watched, praying to Starclan he would
reach his prey and manage to kill it, suddenly time was flowing again, and Cloudpaw stood
with wide eyes over the rabbit. Spottedfire, bounded over, purring wildly See?
When you really put your mind to it, you can do it. She nodded to his tail and paws
You had your crouch perfectly! The she-cat turned around
"I'm going to take Cloudpaw and this freskill back to camp. You four can come with me or stay
behind to continue your hunt. She nodded to her patrol, then picked up her vole and
began to trot towards the camp again, glancing back to see if Cloudpaw was following.

As Rainpaw watched Silvercloud leave, she sighed. Her eyes trailed on Silvercloud's paw, watching her limp towards a den. Now I'm the only apprentice not being able to catch anything, she thought to herself. The apprentice looked down at her paws, wondering what she could do. I was supposed to go on a hunting patrol, but.. she looked around worriedly. As she saw a few cats returning with their prey, her jaw clenched and she froze. She blinked with sincere envy, disappointment in her eyes. Perhaps I could.. she stumbled, getting on her paws once more. She shook her head, and stepped back a little. Her eyes trailed around at other apprentices, then back at some warriors, and then back at the ground. Rainpaw stepped towards the hunting grounds, and padded towards the area. The small apprentice carefully inched up the tree, wavering her tail back and forth. She's watched warriors hunt before, but she's never perfectly practiced it herself. Looking down at the ground, she spotted a few moving things. The apprentice knew herself that she could go down the tree and try to catch them, but she didn't bother. Moving into a minor crouch, she made note of her tail and quickly tucked it in. Twitching her whiskers, she saw a small bird perched on a branch above her. Her head perked up, and she didn't exactly know what to do. Backing up slightly, she noticed how close the bird was to her. Gingerly placing a paw over her head, she steadily leaped up at the bird. Flinching, she had figured it flew away. But there was a thud, and it fell to the ground below her. Awkwardly climbing back down the tree, Rainpaw stumbled over to it. Th-thank you, StarClan.. the apprentice murmured quietly, and picked it up in her jaw. She looked around, and then headed back to camp with the bird in her jaws. The apprentice walked over to the fresh-kill pile, placed it in the pile, and then walked over to a tree nervously.

Snowpaw watched. "Oh- then I-I guess I should be off." she said, and leaped to her paws. "I will find Swiftstar, and see if he is busy." she said, and then bolted. She reached the camp, and sat down. She smoothed down her pelt, because Greyeye had given her quite a scare. She hated to have left Pumpkin paw like that, but, what else could she do? She looked around, flicking her ear, trying to get Swiftstar's scent. The young apprentice got to her paws, and padded around camp, looking around. "Swiftstar?" she mumbled, although she knew it would do no good. If Swiftstar was busy.. then maybe.. she could go and find a elder to listen to one of there stories? She loved the elders stories. Her whiskers twitched, as a thought ran through her head. I heard Swiftstar yowl today.. what if something is wrong!? that got her fired up, and she bolted around the camp. "Swifstar!?" she said, looking around in fear of her mentor's life.

Cloudpaw smiled, a bit proud of himself, and looked at the rabbit he just caught. He stood up and started to drag the rabbit back to camp along with Spottedfire. He caught up to her and mumbled "Are you proud of me?!" His eyes were gleaming and his tail swished back and forth. He would never admit it but he kind of felt bad that he caught prey before his friend. He shrugged his shoulders and picked up the rabbit again.

O ᴄ ᴇ ᴀ ɴ ᴍ ɪ s ᴛ

Oceanmist watched at Rainpaw caught the bird and went off. He looked around to see if anyone was left with him, but it looked like he was alone. He growled half to himself and set off to find where Lizardpaw and Rainpaw had went. I'm in charge of these two and I can not let them go running off like this! Then I'll be to blame when someone sees both of them un-attended.

The She-cat stopped, sitting down her tail curled around her paws and
the squirrel beside her. Spottedfire looked down at Cloudpaw, her soft eyes sparkling with
pride and her chest rumbling in a purr "Of course I'm proud of you young one."
she said, her voice soft as the wind blew past them "Do you need help getting into
the cave through the current? I know most young apprentices still have not mastered swimming across,
and I don't want to waste prey or have you fall in. she looked down into the water, then at Greyeye,
Pumpkinpaw and Snowpaw, then thinking of Swiftstar. Would he be glad to see her back in the cave?
Or angry she had left her patrol? Was he even okay? She shook off the questions, staring past the three
cats in the entrance and into the cave.
