Too sum this girl all up, we'll start with her personality.
This girl is always rearing to go, she is over confident, and has an boundless amount of energy; but lacks the collective, calm, problem solving skills the lead dog has; so she was placed in the position of "swing dog". Frequently causing trouble, or losing her temper she regularly gets into fights that have to get separated either by the lead dog, or their beloved musher.

As for her build; she is a big larger, and broader than that of a pure-bred Siberian. She has a barrel like chest, that hold her massive set of lungs. She is thick, and is often mistaken for a male Siberian. Her legs appear to be rather short, but match her compact body. Her tail is typically held tightly curled over her back.

Her fur is a gorgeous copper draped over a bleach white under belly. Her face has little markings on it, and is mainly white.

meet icarus. in greek mythology, his namesake escaped from crete using a pair of wings created by his father, daedalus, out of wax and feathers. in his excitement, he ignored his father's instructions, not to fly too high. he flew too close to the sun, which melted the wax that held his wings together, and he fell to his death in the sea. an unfortunate name for this four-year-old male. he strives not to follow his namesake's path and to create his own destiny. icarus's hard work to create his own way and be the best he can be has earned him the esteemed position of lead dog of the variety team. he loves his job more than anything.
icarus is a purebred greater swiss mountain dog, a breed known for its strength and intelligence. he stands at 26 inches and weighs 130 pounds, about average size for this large breed. he has deep brown eyes that show much emotion. his coat, a color known as black, red, and white tricolor, is the only color allowed in his breed. it is somewhat short but incredibly dense and waterproof, which was needed in their original home in the swiss alps, and it is mostly black, with a white "blaze" on his face and a white chest and underbelly. his "red" is actually a reddish brown, and is located just above his eyes. a jagged scar runs across his right shoulder, clearly visible, an ugly reminder of a sledding accident when he was just two. it does not bother him anymore, though.
ever since he was young, icarus has always shown the qualities of a great leader. he is devoted to his cause, whether that is cutting a path in record time through a blinding snowstorm, or protecting his teammates and friends with his life. he's very loyal and protective. many call him persistent, because he is not known to ever give up; others may take it a step forward and call him stubborn. he certainly does like to get his way, and will stop at nothing to do so. he does not take well to receiving orders from anyone else, since he feels like he should be the one giving them. it's hard to make him change his point of view, even with logical arguments, and he is hotheaded and quick to anger when someone argues with him. icarus is also a perfectionist. everything, especially his own actions, has to be done exactly right, or else he will get frustrated. he is very hard on himself. if he does something wrong, he will certainly do everything in his power to fix it completely. he hates to have flaws in anything he does, which affects his team. they must do everything exactly right to please their lead dog. icarus is very intuitive and follows his instincts very well. normally, this natural instinct helps keep his team out of danger. sometimes it leads him to do rash things without thinking them through. typically he keeps himself in check though.
icarus was not bred to be a sled dog. his parents were both retired show dog champions living in greenland. he and his two brothers and sister were born to be their successors. of course, their owners had no intentions of keeping them all, just one or two of the top show dog prospects. icarus, with his dominant, leader-like behavior, did not respond well to the early training. his brother, day, however, excelled. icarus was sold, along with his other brother and sister. they went to different homes. icarus was chosen by an middle-aged man with a love for dog-sledding. he had recently retired his previous pair of dogs, two fluffy burmese mountain dogs by the names of zeus and helios. after dogs, his second live was greek mythology, and he was determined to name all of his dogs after a prominent figure from a greek story. he gave the greater swiss mountain dog the name icarus and his new partner, a powerful alaskan malamute mix who already had previous experience with pulling a sled, the name jason. the two trained together to pull a small sled. this force them to be lead, swing, team, and wheel dogs all at once. icarus was a but slow on the uptake, and jason, who'd always been a bit of a bully, took advantage of that, picking on the younger, smaller dog relentlessly. however, it wasn't long before icarus outweighed jason by 25 pounds and could stand up for himself. the two bickered constantly, and it would end up being their downfall. they were racing together on a frigid winter's day, pulling the small sled and their owner and viciously arguing. neither of them were paying much attention to the ground ahead of them. so it is easy to imagine the two young males' surprise when a snowmobile came barreling toward them, showing no signs of stopping. at the last minute, they stopped fighting and jerked out of the way. at the high speed they'd been traveling over a rough patch of ground, the entire sled ended up flipping over. the musher was thrown clear, luckily, but his two dogs were left tangled desperately among the wreckage of the sled. all icarus remembers from the crash is a searing pain in his shoulder as a broken piece of wood from the sled tore through his skin. it would leave a serious, horrid scar. jason had a broken leg and would never pull another sled. after three months spent recovering, icarus was sold because his musher no longer trusted him. his new owner was trying to build a team of misfits in the dogsledding world, made up of only unusual breeds not typically thought of in the sport. he started as a team dog, but quickly she realized how unhappy he was and gave him a try in the lead. his natural ability became evident quickly, and the change became permanent.

Keiran is soft hearted and a kind dog. He is definitely supportive of his friends and with everyone. He is a good dog, but he does have quick mood swings. His mood can change quick it you say something that offends him. He also has a chronic fever, he is often sick. He gets a high fever that just leaves him sleeping and panting. he doesnt eat much when he is sick. It tends to blow over quickly. He also has claustraphobia. He becomes very vicious when being locked in a small space.

Katrina was born in a retired male musher's home that was set near a small town. Her parents used to be sled dogs, but that was before they decided to have her. She would ask them why they quit and they would answer with a genuine smile and a simple "cause we chose to have you instead." This would confuse her because she thought that it was possible to both sled and take care of her. The feeling would pass quickly as she got distracted by something else that interested her more. Malia and Connor would always be protective over her if ever felt the need to go outside, especially when it was snowing. They would hover over her when she played games outside or follow her master when he went out to grab food. This slowly drove the poor pup crazy and she gradually was becoming more distant from them the more they got closer to her. What she didn't know was that they were doing it for her own good and one day they told her a secret of their past that they've done all they could to hide from her. About five years ago, Kat used to have a brother. He was completely opposite of her easygoing, cautious nature. Destruction was always laying behind in his path and her parents never could tire out his energy level. If he was inside, he would howl till his lungs sounded like they were about to collapse in order to go outside. When he was outside, he would be likely to put himself into danger if his parents weren't there to look after him. They loved him anyway through it all. He was about to turn six that winter before his own reckless actions would turn against him. The town was holding a sled race that day and his mother and father were part of it, along with his master. One of his master's friends would look after him as they raced. He was way more rambunctious than usual. After the sled race started, he tore away from the girl looking after him and attempted to run along with the sleds. However an accident occurred in where he lost his footing and slid underneath the sled of the team competing with his master's team. That's when... her mother stopped there and would look at her with eyes that said more than was needed. About a month later everything went somewhat down hill when her owner couldn't make enough money to keep the house. He started becoming more stressed as the day neared to be evicted. It was only then that he looked at her and an idea struck him. She could see he was visibly upset when he stared at her, a sad smile set on his lips. Three days later she was being bought by another man that looked to be a young musher. Before she was taken to her new home there were hugs galore and tearful goodbyes shared. Then she was brought to her new home, but little did she know, she was bought to be trained as a sled dog herself.
