A cool breeze stirred the treetops surrounding the StormClan camp, carrying with it the rich and earthy scents of the forest. The leader's den, located deep within the crevice between two large boulders with tendrils of vines dangling down before the entrance, overlooked the camp on a slight rise. The StormClan leader emerged from his den, parting the lichen with his broad shoulders and stood before the camp on the rocky platform outside of his den, commonly referred to as the Thunder Stone. The pale dawn light was only just filtering through the canopies of trees, yet it still managed to ignite Ravenstar's eyes like viridian fire.

Jaypaw crouched low to the ground, careful not to let his belly fur sweep the leafstrewn forest floor beneath him. His tail was stiff and erect, parallel to the earth. Ears pricked and alert, Jaypaw stealthily crept closer to his prey. The vole before him obliviously nibbled on its chestnut, too engrossed in its food to pay any heed to its looming death. The thrill of the hunt quickened his heart rate; adrenaline coursed through his veins. Jaypaw narrowed his eyes, tensed his muscles, and leapt, his outstretched claws slicing through the warm fur of his prey before it even registered his presence. He crouched over the limp body of the vole, saliva rushing through his jaws. It required most of his willpower not to break the sacred warrior code right then and there and devour the vole in one ravenous gulp, but he reminded himself of his duties to his Clan and managed to swallow his disappointment.

Dawnpaw lifted her head drowsily, stirred by the early rays of the dawn light. Excitement prickled at her paws; today was her first day as an apprentice. She smiled proudly to herself, wishing her mother were here to share the moment with her. She blinked slowly and shifted her cobalt gaze on the rest of the camp. Very few cats were awake, but it appeared as if the dawn patrol had not departed yet. Dawnpaw had always been an early riser and she simply lived for the mornings. Already wide awake, Dawnpaw carefully rose to her paws and indulged in a delicious stretch, her jaws parted wide in a satisfying yawn.

Oh, you are interested in learning about Brightflame? The deputy of StormClan? Good luck with him, he is strict and bossy. He feels he has to be from his past, he also hates to talk about said past and also hates it when clanmates mess around.His pelt is grey with dark grey mackerel stripes and his eyes are amber and large however he sometimes has them narrowed to show authority.

He is not too striking but not too average, one of his most striking features is a scar he has on his forehead and his ripped left ear. He loves to have power over other cats but it is not a ruthless feeling, it is a more proud feeling. He is very strict and it angers him when cats defy orders and mess around when they are supposed to be doing something.He isn't the one for being the most caring tom in the world, he is often talked about and described behind his back as 'cold as ice'.

He was born as a rogue and on the run from a group of fierce cats, he was used to having to run through brambles by the age of six moons and that is where he got the scar on his forehead. His torn ear is from when he and his parents were caught up with a fox which attacked them and almost got them discovered. Brightflame found the clan when he was eight moons old and they let him and his parents in once they explained their situation. His parents had been named warriors and he an apprentice. When he became a warrior he vowed he would make the clan proud and become deputy some day.

With a yawn she rose from her nest and her ears flicked to face in front of her. She stretched out and flicked her tail before then exiting her den, recoiling slightly from the bright sunlight as it beamed down into her face. She narrowed her eyes to stop them being too damaged by the sunlight as she headed to the fresh-kill pile. She picked up a small sparrow as she headed back to the rock outside her den where she preferred to sit and eat. As she lowered her head and took a bite of the prey at her paws she awaited for the camp to suddenly burst with life as it normally did, it made her feel better to know the cats were not worrying.

As he sat outside the leader's den he mentally planned out the day's hunting patrols and ordinary patrols and also began to plan shifts for the training of apprentices. Apprentices were to go out just after sunhigh and return no later than sunset. He wanted everything as organized as possible for the clan so if they fell upon hard times they would at least have a set schedule.He yowled in signal for the warriors and apprentices to gather for patrols to be sent out.He knew only the leader should be the one to call cats but to him it was essential for him to have every warrior and apprentice present.

Ravenstar's ears pricked up with curiosity as he spotted Brightflame summoning the Clan. He frowned, wondering why his deputy had not consulted him on whatever was the matter beforehand, but decided he trusted his deputy's judgement. He casually strolled down from his perch to the center of the clearing, approaching his deputy with a polite dip of his head. "Good morning, Brightflame," he rumbled. "What's going on?"

Jaypaw strolled into the camp, his jaws clamped around his prey. Aside from the vole, he had also caught a sparrow and buried it so that he could retrieve it later, but a vulture had beaten him to it. He blinked in surprise as he realized that a Clan meeting of some sort was being arranged, so he dropped off his catch in the fresh-kill pile and made his way over to the StormClan deputy, bowing his head in respect as he sat down.

Dawnpaw's paws worked furiously in the grass outside of the apprentices' den, impatient with excitement. She spotted Honeywhisker across the clearing and nodded to her in greeting. She didn't dare leave her spot, though, in case her mentor or some other cat needed her or wanted to take her out training.
