“My name is Jaytalon. My mother and father both came to a consensus on my name. They agreed that I had the disposition of a sharp-eyed jay. They hoped that as I grew up, I would develop the same elusive, mysterious traits that make the jay such an intriguing and majestic creature. I only hope that I can live up to their expectations. I withhold pride in my name, however, and I embrace its originality. It truly demonstrates the former harmony between my parents before they became wedged apart by Leafdew.”

"Darkwillow was only the mother to Reedkit and me. She was not the mother of my sister, Amberpaw. Unlike my father, my mother was infinitely loyal to our family. She was a wonderful mother to my brother and me. She was warm and affectionate and fiercely protective of her kits. From her I learned the importance of unbridled loyalty to a Clan and to a mate. My mother didn't deserve the heartbreak that she experienced. I understand now the impact a parent has on their offspring's life and I vow to live up to Darkwillow's status as a mother. No other she-cat in the world can compare to Darkwillow's role as a doting mother to the Clan."
"My father was the famous Lionpath. He is remembered by FallClan for his greatness as our former deputy, not for his infidelity with the rival Clan's medicine cat at the time, by the name of Leafdew. Aside from his fatal error, my father was a very brave and noble individual. He taught me everything I know about the warrior code, from the honor of going to bed hungry for my Clanmates to retiring to the elders' den with full reimbursement for my service. That is why I felt so betrayed when I learned of my father's misdoing. I still greatly admire my father, however, and his service to our Clan. He died a warriors' death, protecting myself and the other survivors from some of our infected Clanmates as we escaped. I only hope that I can leave such a memorable impact on my own Clan when I join StarClan. Without practicing poor judgement or acting impulsively, I hope to be presented with the opportunity of dying on the battlefield, my last breath in the form of a defiant snarl as I defend my Clanmates."
"Though I did not always know it, I actually have a sister. . .A half-sister, that is. Amberpaw is a loyal warrior of FallClan and her faithfulness to her adopted Clan is something I have always found admirable in her. I have never understood how she can have such undivided loyalty to FallClan when her birth was formulated from a conception of sin. Despite having two different mothers, we actually share a particularly close bond. Perhaps it was when I lost both my mother and brother, Reedkit, to the virus. They preceded my father's death by only a quarter moon. In just a blink of an eye, I had lost my entire family and all I had ever known. Suddenly, kinship and blood meant everything to me. Leafdew had also succumbed to the infection, so I was also the only remainder of Amberpaw's family. We were both driven together by a mutual need to protect our sibling. Even though we are not exactly what most would call family, I feel the need to look after my sister and ensure that she is healthy and safe. However, this does not corrupt my loyalty to FallClan in any way and I hope it never does."

"As of now, I am bound by no responsibilities affiliated with love. I find it difficult to invest any time or emotions in relationships, because they have a tendency to be complicated and inconsistent."

"According to others, I am a very difficult individual to read. I tend to be rather quiet and independent. To some it may seem that I am acting stand-offish or aloof, but it's more that I am just less inclined to be social, mostly because it's hard to be attached to someone who could be snatched away from you in a heartbeat. It's a lonely way of life, but I simply can't help how I view things. I'm not unfriendly, of course, I just find it hard not to be serious most of the time. I feel that if I spend less time trying to 'enjoy' myself and trying to keep my Clanmates safe, they might live longer."
"There was once an elder by the name of Skywish. She used to call me a 'snarky smart-aleck'. I don't try to take advantage of my sharp-tongue or sarcastic disposition, but sometimes I simply can't help it. I'm a nice guy at heart, it's just that I'm such a typical fly on the wall. I never try to be rude. I can just be rather quick to temper. But all I want to do is be the best warrior I can possibly be. I would surrender my life to my Clan in a heartbeat. In reality, I'm a good leader with hidden charisma and a level-head in difficult situations. I'm also very argumentative and have plenty of opinions to ground my debates, therefore I am constantly searching for someone who can match my fire. I believe I have the caliber and the knowledge to be a great warrior and I only hope that my performance can match my personal goals and images for myself."

"For awhile, life seemed perfect. I was the son of a highly esteemed deputy of my Clan and doted on by his prized queen. Both Lionpath and Darkwillow were highly involved in the early lives of my brother and I. My mother was very careful to raise us to be humble warriors of our Clan, devoted to the warrior code and to our Clanmates. My father would utilize all of his free time outside of his warrior duties to demonstrate the best hunting and fighting techniques outside of the nursery. Those were some of my favorite memories. Lionpath was always gentle and patient and his former apprentices would agree that his praise was something that instilled pride and established self-confidence. Reedkit was my partner in crime. The two of us would engage in all sorts of questionable situations. Then one night, Lionpath didn't return from combat. When we had learned that he had been captured and taken prisoner by the warriors of our rival Clan, I felt confused and betrayed by my warrior ancestors. The image of my father being an invincible authority figure who could never be defeated seemed to dissolve before my very eyes. I remember the next moon being dark and mysterious. When our leader appointed a temporary replacement deputy, I was filled with blinding fury. Though our Clanmates reassured us that my father would return, they all seemed to act as though he were dead."
"When the fateful day came that our warrior patrol recovered my father, I thought that everything would be restored to the way they used to be. But the following moon, the other Clan's medicine cat presented herself before all of FallClan and claimed that Lionpath was the father of her unborn kits. I felt nothing but betrayal and waves of grief and agony rolled off of my mother as my father confessed and confirmed her words before all of StarClan to be true. He stepped down from his position as deputy and devoted his heart to my mother Darkwillow, imploring forgiveness. Leafdew, heartbroken by my father's cold refusal, fled back to her Clan where she gave birth to my half-sister."
"Shortly after, I was forced to accept my apprentice name alone, because my brother was one of the first of our Clan to fall ill with the virus. I remember promising him that soon he would recover and then he would catch up to my status as warrior apprentice in no time. But Reedkit entered a dimension where I couldn't even recognize him as my brother anymore. The warm glow of mischief and youthful innocence had left his eyes and been replaced with a wild light, igniting his eyes like viridian fire. I had poked my head into the medicine den with a vole hanging limply from my jaws when I saw his gaze rest upon me. At first I was overjoyed to see him appear so alert and active, but then I looked into his eyes and I didn't recognize the face that glared back at me with such intense fury that I thought every fiber of my being would disintegrate right then and there. I dropped the vole and fled, only to be intercepted by my mother and father. It was Lionpath who put him down, terminating Reedkit's life as he snarled and tore into my mother's haunches. Losing my brother was one of the most difficult aspects of my past. I had never felt more alone in my life."
"My mother fell ill shortly after, but I hardly even registered her death. My father could detect my pain, but he was never given the chance to comfort me or to share his words of wisdom. I lost him to the battle against the infection when he doubled back to buy the rest of us time. Though I resented my father for his infidelity, I never would have conceived such a cruel fate for him. My mentor, Mudfoot, served as my father figure throughout my training. Not only was he my coach, but he was also my closest friend. He was there for me when I needed him, even though I constantly masked off my emotions. Somehow, however, Mudfoot always knew exactly what I was feeling. Without Mudfoot's guidance, I might have had a very different outlook on life and death today. When Mudfoot died, being one of the last cats to fall prey to the infection during the epidemic, I felt as though I had been stripped of my existence, especially since I had been the one who ultimately ended his life. But I learned how to forgive life and its cruel ways and accept matters for the way they were, because of Mudfoot's guidance. I will never forget what he taught me and I will always hold his wisdom and guidance close to my heart."

Jaytalon is a very lanky, long-bodied individual with broad shoulders. He has bright, inquisitive green eyes and smaller than usual paws. He is built for stamina and endurance, such as running and climbing trees and boulders. His light gray pelt with darker flecks are his advantage as he prowls throughout the night and early dawn, which is one of Jaypaw's favorite things to do when he is alone.

“Amberpaw is the name bestowed upon me by my warrior ancestors, carefully selected by my mother. She treasured my name as she did the gentle tendrils of the early morning dawn: simple and calming, yet instilled with the potential to progress into something greater. I pine for the day that my name reflects the extent of my warrior training.”

"My mother, Leafdew, was a very kind-hearted and compassionate soul. She was well-known for her warm disposition and optimism for the future, qualities that were required for her position as medicine cat of FallClan's rival. She withheld a powerful belief in StarClan and looked to her faith to draw strength. Her bond with our warrior ancestors was something that Leafdew prided herself in. She illustrated the importance of faith and purity of spirit, something I continue to strive toward as I carry out my own life. Her greatest flaw, however, was that she depended too heavily on her trust in others. This would later lead to the betrayal of her heart and her ultimate end. I hold my mother in the highest respect and cherish her memory deep in the bowels of my heart. She often visits me in my dreams, but only in visions and false illusions. None of the images convey her true aura, but it's comforting to recollect the image of her face when I need her the most."
"Lionpath was the name of my father. He was a brave and valiant warrior of FallClan with a unbridled ambition to lead his Clanmates. He served as deputy for several moons, but never lived to see the day his warrior ancestors would grant him eight more lives. He was fiercely protective of his Clan, which would lead to his death in the end. Despite his menacing performance in battle and his physically superior appearance, my father was surprisingly very gentle to his warriors. He proved to me that determination and devotion will carry you farther than any other quality. Committing yourself to the journey is what will set your paws on the path to success. I greatly admire my father and strive to champion his strengths and virtues, despite his flawed qualities that deterred him away from his ultimate goal of leading FallClan. Though he never intended my existence to be formulated, I am forever indebted to the actions he carried out in bringing me into the Clan and assuring that I was accepted and treated as any other innocent, defenseless kit would."
"I have a half-brother who shares my father's blood. His name is Jaytalon and he is 9 moons older than me. He and I have an interesting relationship, to say the least. Though he and I were born in separate Clans, we still share a rather strong bond. I respect my brother's loyalty to FallClan and always feel drawn to him whenever I am feeling lost or confused. It is almost as if he is the only part of my life that is consistent and this comforts me. We share the same father and that fact will never waver. Though we do not share the ideal sibling relationship, I think that we are unusually close, considering the circumstances. We are protective of one another to some degree and I think that because my brother's littermate, Reedkit, died of greencough, he is particularly keen on guarding the blood of his kin. I am my brother's biggest fan from the sidelines, but I am careful not to let my relationship with my kin entangle with my loyalty to FallClan."

"I have yet to harbor any affections for any tom. I believe that friendship is stronger than love, which may seem confusing to toms who may think I am interested in them, but considering how fatal love can be I prefer to cherish the companionship and passion involved in friendship."

"I am known best for my unique and incredible work ethic. I have unbridled passion for my duties as a warrior and I let nothing prevent me from achieving my goal. This unwavering devotion to my training is not only my strength, but also my greatest weakness. Even if I am sick or injured or worse, I find it impossible to tear away from my duties. This would not be as bad if I did not find it so difficult to communicate with others in regards to my physical and emotional condition. I can never seem to find the right words to inform someone that I am sick or wounded or that I am stressed out beyond belief. I prefer to keep my pain bottled up, which sometimes leads to moments of distress or depression. But above all of this, I am known for being a great listener. I love to be there for my friends and to give advice when needed. I like to be the one someone goes to when they are feeling upset for any reason. I like to take care of others and to be there for them."
"Personally, though, I think laughter is the best medicine. I love to make others laugh and to uphold a positive attitude that others can feed off of at all times. I can usually maintain the cheerfullest of dispositions for the benefit of those around me, despite whatever I am feeling. I try to be very encouraging to my Clanmates and I like to consider myself a leader. I want to be the best warrior I possibly can be and I try to illicit the same qualities from my friends and family. My training, whether it is personal or with others, is everything to me. The feelings of euphoria that I feel when I'm swimming or running hardly compares to the passion I harbor. Like any other honorable warrior, I practice ambition. However, I am always careful not to let my ambition blind my judgement. Though I tend to be a little quick to temper, I try my best to come off as polite and friendly. I do not know what others think of me, but I try to come across as a positive influence and a pleasant individual to be affiliated with."

"Many seasons ago, during a border skirmish between two Clans, my father was captured by the warriors of my mother's Clan and made prisoner. Badly wounded in the battle, Lionpath was handed over to the medicine cat at the time, who just so happened to be my mother. Throughout the conflict between the two Clans, Lionpath and Leafdew grew to be very close. My mother learned to greatly trust my father and he found her passion for healing and spiritual energy to be rather engaging. However, when the time came when FallClan retaliated for the seizing of their deputy, my parents were separated. Their time of romance and intimacy had officially ended."
"Several moons later, my mother was discovered to be expecting kits. Desperate to avoid judgement from within her own Clan, Leafdew fled to FallClan, where she publicly announced that Lionpath was the father. Though my father still felt affections for my mother, his loyalty to his Clan drove him to desperate measures. He retained his reputation of upholding honor and truth and validated Leafdew's claims. He then asked to step down from his position as Clan deputy and asked that Leafdew respected his current relationship with his mate, Darkwillow. At the time, Jaykit and Reedkit were horrified to learn of their father's indiscretion. However, in time, the Clan learned to forgive Lionpath's mistakes. My mother's title as medicine cat was removed when I was born and the pain of being deprived of her profession led to the deterioration of Leafdew's health. She ultimately died of the infection, but every cat knows that the real cause was from a broken heart. My father still felt loyalty to my mother and decided to bring me into the Clan where he could look after me and raise me to FallClan's standards. When my father sacrificed his life to protect his family and Clanmates from the infection, the legacy of Leafdew and Lionpath died with him, along with the untimely ends of Darkwillow and Reedkit. My brother and I are the spiritual bridge between our divided families."

Amberpaw is a golden-brown dappled she-cat with mottled, leopard-like prints. She has lighter-colored paws that support a lean, but muscular build. She has broad shoulders and powerful back haunches. Her light blue eyes range from cobalt to cerulean, depending on the fairness of the weather. She has a short-haired coat with soft, smooth fur. Though she withholds obvious strength and muscular power, she does not appear overly large. She still manages to maintain a very lithe, lanky body composition.
