timber ⚡ male ⚡ red-tailed hawk

➳the hawk pulled his beak from beneath his left wing. a cold breeze ruffling past his feathers. the mornings were getting warmer as the sun beamed on the land. once this land was frozen over during the winter months, but now it was begin to fill with life. his sharp yellow eyes looked down from his perch on the large oak. he searched through the brush looking for any scurrying prey, though found nothing. lifting his head to the sky he opened his large wings and took flight. soaring to another tree not far away. perching in another large oak looking down at the ground to find any source of prey. he knew a mouse had it's nest near here, and he had been watching it for a while but never managed to catch it.
