Hollystar paced the entrance to her den, her mind rolling over the Clan's welfare. PineClan was likely to attack in the next few days. She padded to the fresh-kill pile and decided they needed prey. Hollystar walked out of the camp, sniffing the air for food. Scenting a thrush, she crouched low, silently crawled forward. The bird came into sight. Hollystar narrowed her blue eyes. She pounced, slashing the thrush. She picked it up, and carried on hunting.

Personality;; Although skittish and always checking behind his shoulder twice, he is a genuinely nice tom. He enjoys his job as a medicine cat. However, at times he does prefer to be alone in the peace and quiet.
History;; Dustfur was born to his parents, Sandsong and Barkpelt, while they were on the verge of their elder years. Because of this, he was the only kit of his litter that managed to survive out of three. However, he was still extremely small and thought to eventually pass on as well. Much to his parents' surprise, he grew up nearly as well as any other apprentice; save for the issue of his size. It was because of this factor that he chose to specialize in medicine instead.

There was going to be an attack. No cat would doubt it. Tensions had been running high for a while now. It, admittedly, made Dustfur nervous and all-in-all a little edgy. He was small. Roughly the size of an apprentice. And naturally, not being as well trained in the area of defence as warriors would be, he wasn't in that great of condition to be fending off PineClan cats if it need be. But there was no sense in fretting just yet, right? They weren't being attacked. All that the tom could do would be to go out and stock up on herbs that he would definitely be needing soon. So, venturing out into the forest, it wasn't long until he picked up the scent of another cat. Thankfully, his clan's leader. "Hollystar," he greeted with a dip of his head.

Hollystar turned quickly. 'Oh! Hello Dustfur, searching for herbs?' she mewed once she knew who was behind her. She removed a leaf that had landed on her back with her tail. Hollystar moved the rabbit she had caught into her pile ready to take back to camp. She suddenly remembered her worries. 'Do you think PineClan will attack?' Hollystar blurted out.

Dustfur nodded in response to her first question. The second made him look down and anxiously rake at some soil with his claws.The answer was obvious, but it was difficult to voice it out loud. "I hope not," he murmured with a faint sigh. A fight breaking out was one of the last things their clan needed at the moment. "But the chances of it are looking more likely than not," the tom admitted.

☇ｔｈｅ ｆｅａｒｅｄ ｌｅａｄｅｒ

Hollystar shivered. "I won't look forward to the attack," she mewed. Her prey lay before her, inviting a taste. She picked them up and mumbled through her mouth, "I'm going back to camp." Leaving Dustfur behind, Hollystar bounded away towards the camp. She arrived, deposited her catches, and padded up to her den. She curled up and tried to get to sleep. Her blood ran cold as she thought about a battle she had witnessed as an apprentice...

Hollypaw slashed a large tom across the muzzle before darting off to help Snowpelt, a senior warrior. The PineClan cats were overwhelmingly strong, and MapleClan cat's blood shone on the battlefield. She pinned a small apprentice to the grass, scratching his belly with her hind paws. Her eyes flickered towards Cloudstar, then she froze on the spot when she saw the next moment. A tall she-cat, unmistakably PineClan's leader, launched itself at Cloudstar, biting her throat. Hollypaw realised that their leader was on her last life. Cloudstar lay on the ground dead.

Dovepaw sorted some herbs in the medicine cat den. She wondered when Dustfur was coming back from collecting medicine. Luckily at the moment, there were no cats needing treatment. Dovepaw paced the entrance to the cave made from bracken. She rushed outside as Hollystar padded into camp. She looked disturbed so Dovepaw stayed in her den. The leader went straight to the hollow in which she slept. The medicine cat apprentice frowned. She would speak to Dustfur when he arrived.

As Hollystar stalked off, Dustfur nodded in goodbye before turning out to the forest in search of herbs he needed to stock up on. He soon gathered several herbs, including dock and comfrey root, as well as the usual cobwebs he could find sticking to the trees. It wasn't long before he returned back to camp with what he'd gathered, bringing them into his den. Unsurprisingly, his apprentice was still there. "Dovepaw," he greeted, giving her a nod while he went to sort his collected items into their respectful spaces.
