Ghost|Brute|Assassin| Tagged: Cactus Water

Ghost nearly tripped over himself as he stopped. He couldn't even believe what he was hearing. He spun around with a snarl, and his red-eyes glaring at Cactus Water. "What?! How can you be in this pack without expecting to kill something? How do you hunt without killing? I don't care if you're ranked or not, I was told to bring you by the Alpha, and I do as I'm told." he explained angrily. He may be a skilled killer, but he couldn't take down several big, bulky brutes by himself. Ghost was a runt. Not only would he be outnumbered, but if he had to fight all the brutes, outmatched as well."Wolves in this pack don't last very long is they can't follow orders. The way I see it you have a two choices. You can either come with me and and take care of this job, or you can leave me, and go back to the alphaess and tell her you abandoned the mission, and hopefully she'll send someone capable of helping me." he said in a slightly calmer voice. They were wasting too much time. Ghost knew that not only did they need to reach the other pack's territory, but he had to do some light hunting as well. He didn't have that much time to spare.

Shade, Hunger, Tide

Velvela was the first to approach, and Nicole watched as the other fae moved forwards to join the hunting party. Nic greeted her with an absentminded nod to show acknowledgement. Her face was impassive as she glanced around, waiting for the others to show up. Velvela simply wasn't that interesting after joining the pack. She had to be watched, but wasn't doing anything to show she was being a spy anymore. Nicole was beginning to begrudgingly half-believe the wolf's story of not actually being a spy, but she would never fully trust the other wolf. Of course, Nicole didn't trust anyone, but that was besides the point. She'd place less trust in Velvela then someone who had done nothing to lose her trust.

Next to approach was a white wolf, and Nicole frowned as she recognized him not as Nation but as his twin brother, Quil. Perhaps the two were confused with each others' names now. Or trying to confuse her. When he spoke, she waited with a patient look on her face, before shaking her head. "I know who you are Quil." Nicole's voice was smooth, as she was being extra-special-calm right now to not snap at the other wolf. As if she wouldn't know the name of one of the wolves in the pack. She would have known the wolves' names even if she wasn't Delta. But as a high rank, it was kind of needed. Still, she took a tiny pause, then continued to speak, with more of her normal tone of voice. "But I didn't call you for a reason."

Nicole paused as Nation approached, and when he spoke, she waited for him to finish before speaking, addressing Quil. "I believe that you are going to be assigned with a Scout to go to the border today. It isn't certain, but you do need to stay. The alpha will be assigning a scout and an assassin for that soon." She then turned her head away from the wolf, dismissing him and signaling that the conversation was over. She faced Nation now, and greeted him with a wordless, yet happy chuff. She was ready to leave as soon as Spade showed up.... but she didn't see him anywhere, and she didn't want to wait anymore.

Scout, Wraith

Ash flicked his eyes over the brute in front of him. Appraising him. He drew his expression in with practiced ease, clearing his face of all emotion. Then, he cocked his head. "Odd." He spoke the word slowly. The brute's voice was quiet, but not soft edged. It was a grumble, almost a growl of words that fell from his lips. "I've seen you, Shade." His voice wasn't sinister or anything, and he wasn't trying to do anything out of the ordinary. He simply made it a point to know all the wolves in his pack by scent, sight, and name. Well, at least the name that they gave the pack to call them. For example, he was Ash to the pack, but Scout or Wraith if he felt like giving a name to those he met at the border. Ash wasn't even his real name though, and he didn't feel any need to tell anyone his real name. Nobody called him that anymore. Nobody had called him that in the first place. It was unnecessary. Ash wasn't the same wolf who'd been given that title anyway. He didn't offer his own name. Yet.

His eyes weren't all that different, were they? Ash wondered to himself. His father had held the same coloring in his eyes, and as far as Ash knew, he wasn't all that different. So, he shrugged in response to the other wolf's statement, and offered a semblance of a response. "As for my eyes, I was born with them. My father had them, and his father had them. It must be some sort of family trait. But as long as you aren't trying to be rude..." Here Ash paused and his eyes flashed dangerously. The other wolf might be an assassin, but Ash knew how to put up a fight. He knew 'cause he'd been trained by the best. And he played dirty, using pressure points taught to him by the healer of his old pack, who knew quite a bit about how to make a fight hurt. He looked the other brute in the eye and raised his chin ever so slightly, almost a challenge but not quite. He didn't need to fight within the pack, but he wanted the brute to know for sure that they were on equal standing within the pack. There was no way he'd let someone look down on him. "I'll let your observation slide. I've seen plenty with my eye coloring. It isn't as unique as it may seem."

He allowed the silence after he'd finished speaking to drag on for a few seconds before standing to move away, as if he had something more important to do other than sitting with the other brute. As he did so, he glanced towards the Alphaess's den, then back around the camp. Ever vigilant. "Name's Ash." The grey brute said, still facing away from Shade. "Scout." The words he spoke were short and clipped, as if he'd suddenly seen something he didn't like. But the tone in his voice simply stated he was bored. He flicked his ears, hearing murmurs he couldn't make out from Nad's den. So the alphaess was up. About time.

Shade looked at Ash. He kind of made a smirk added with a low growl. " I guess I'll see you around." he said, narrowing his blue eyes. Shade began to feel tired. But he walked out into the forest to hunt. He found a small-medium sized one and focused on it. He carefully walked up behind a bush that was near the deer and got in a pouncing position. Once the time was right, he pounced and drained it's blood by biting it's neck.
