Goldenstar mewed loudly, "Gathering time! Gathering, everyone!" She was nervous- she would look like a fool with such a small amount of cats in her clan. She couldn't leave anyone here, could she? No, it was only two clans. No one would raid. "Gathering, everyone please line up!" Goldenstar padded towards the exit, still pondering as she waited patiently for the other cats. When will we get more cats? We hardly have enough to keep the clan in shape! She would speak to StarClan soon, she thought. Goldenstar heard Silentpaw speak to Darkwing, thank StarClan. "Is everyone ready for the Gathering?" She asked only once more.

((Sorry guys, I'm sick. I got my laptop back a couple hours ago with the promise that I wouldn't use it till tomorrow. Technically it is the next day...............))

DarkBird

|Tom|22 moons|Misunderstood Darkness|Illusionclan|Currently- Dealing with the gathering|Location- The gathering|Feeling- Furious, awkward|Tags- Icebird, Lightpaw|Word Count- 705 words, 3979 characters

The water’s rising around us
There is no other way down
I only have myself to blame for it all

Darkbird let out a gloomy sigh as he and the other cats arrived at the gathering. This was a place that he felt was sacred. A place that needed respect. Two clans of opposites come here to mingle and to learn of the news from others. Starclan approved of this place....Did the Darkforest approve of activities like this? Something told Darkbird that Illusionstar wouldn't approve of this. Maybe Quietsnow would...Did they even have gatherings back then? Most likely not.

The white tom then went to his usual spot, which was under a wilted tree who's life was coming to an end. This was where he would sit. Alone. Alone and watch as all the other cats form into little groups and chat away like dumb sparrows. He often found the conversations to be pretty pointless. Who cares if you found a really big rabbit or the cat you liked talked to you? Cats these days...Always talk about pointless things. Darkbird might be a bit of a hypocrite with these thoughts...or maybe not. Who can say? The tom let out an annoyed hiss as a familiar white she-cat walked over to him. Icebird. Darkbird gave her a glare.

"....Can I help you?" he asked, no hint of friendliness in his voice. Icebird, however, did not look offended in the slightest. On the contrary, his words seemed to have perked her up. He had forgotten for a brief second that his sister's power had to do with negativity. Negative emotions is how her body supports itself. So she's always causing trouble or saying things that just create chaos. You haven't really heard it yet, but just wait.

"Well...who can say~? Just thought I'd come over here and give Mr. Grumpy a ray of sunshine~!" she responded back, sounding and looking much more cheerful than himself. She then took a seat next to him and stared at all the cats before them with her eyes. Icebird was a beautiful cat. He always had other toms commenting on how pretty, but scary, his sister was. No doubt if she didn't have to rely on negative energy she would be swarmed with toms asking her to be their mate.

Darkbird shot another glare at his sister, trying to get her to go away, but she merely gave him a cold smile and looked ahead. Her eyes seem to hold something cold.

"Look at them all...disgusting huh~? I tend to eavesdrop on a lot of their conversations. All I can say is that we are surround by mouse brains~ Actually, mice might be smarter than these guys~" she said in a sweet voice that did not match the words she spoke. Icebird then purred to herself. Darkbird didn't say anything. Icebird had a tendency of belittling others. His sister stopped purring though as she spotted some familiar and unfamiliar cats.

"Oh, oh, oh! Look! That apprentice has really orange fur! How have I not seen her before? She looks so scared~" Icebird purred, talking about Clearpaw who was trying to blend in and not be noticed. The white she-cat wasn't done talking.

"Oh....and there's that runt~ The ugly one who can't see a thing. Geez, it's a good thing she's a medicine cat. Otherwise she would be practically useless. And not like she's gonna find love anyways. She wouldn't even know what they would look like." she said with that sweet voice that held a nastiness underneath. She was talking about Lightpaw. Darkbird immediately turned to look at his sister, fur standing on end, and started growling at her.

"Don't you dare....ever talk about her like that!" he spat. Icebird looked surprised at first but then a cold smile came across her face as she realized how big the nerve was that she had just hit. Darkbird realized then and there that he just gave his sister something to harass him with. Predicting what would happen if the two continued talking, Darkbird stood up and walked away without another word and approached Lightpaw to show that her company was better. He approach the medicine cat apprentice and opened his mouth...but no words came out. What was he suppose to say? The unsocial tom didn't know. He was awkward with this stuff, especially when it came to Lightpaw. Finally something did.

".................................Um, hi."

LIGHTPAW
°The Ray of Sunshine°
To say that Lightpaw was at home among the cats surrounding her was an understatement. She was well-liked by almost all who met her and moved through the crowd with an ease that was almost uncanny seeing as she was blind and all. She paused by Goldenstar first and gave a polite dip of her head, commenting how well fed Illusionclan looked before moving on. Reaching Clearpaw, she smiles kindly and beckoned with her tail to Nightpaw, who joined Clear paw without hesitation. Despite her dark pelt, Lightpaw was like a beacon of light in the crowd. Every cat knew her by name and greeted her like an old friend.

Pausing, she swiveled her ears slowly. Being blind rarely hindered her after so many moons. Her hearing was better than almost any other cat's and because of that she heard Icebird's rude comment. It didn't bother her because she knew Icebird to be a cold and unfriendly she-cat. A voice, speaking close to her ear, made her jump. Blazepaw was still one of the few cats capable of sneaking up on her. With a flick of her tail she started to speak but he interrupted her.

"Your mate is headed this way." He meowed. She knew instantly who he spoke of. It could only be Darkbird and she immediately shoed her brother off. She smiled as Darkbird's scent wreathed around her.

"Hi," she said shyly, leaning forward to press her nose to his. Then she pulled back, ears burning with embarrassment. She had held her nose to his much longer than propriety dictated.

NIGHTPAW
°The DayDreamer°
Nightpaw wasn't nearly as comfortable as her sister. She talked companionably with Branchpaw, Blazepaw, and Bravepaw while watching the warriors chatter happily amongst themselves. When Lightpaw beckoned her, she trotted over curiously then smiles warmly at Clearpaw and gave Lightpaw a discrete nod. "Scary isn't it? Being surrounded by strangers under the watchful gaze of Starclan." She said sympathetically.
RIP JAZZY <3

Approximately one year ago, I woke up and said my final goodbyes to the best friend I have ever known. But Jasmine wasn't a human. No... Jasmine was a little tabby cat who showed me the true meaning of unconditional love. She was my muse and because of her, I still write today. RIP Jasmine Veronica. You have been missed terribly, even if we only had two years together and I will always remember you.

DarkBird

|Tom|22 moons|Misunderstood Darkness|Illusionclan|Currently- Interacting|Location- Gathering|Feeling- Embarrassed|Tags- Lightpaw|Word Count- 490 words, 2737 characters

Darkness on the streets, you let the world deceive you.
In my company, reality will greet you.
Psyche...Check...Check...Check

When Darkbird approached Lightpaw, she gave him a smile, one that contained all of the day in it. Gosh it might as well have blinded him. That thought made him immediately thought about Lightpaw's own blindness. Unlike Icebird, he thought it was perfectly fine. So what if she has a bit of a handicap. She has no sight, he has no health. She was as good, if not better then the others. At least she was tolerable...and he may dare say his only friend. No one ever really gave him time since he never asked or looked like he wanted any. Most thought he was just cold and grumpy. When Duskleg died he did not show his emotions about it. That just wasn't his thing. So everyone thought the two just didn't like each other and that he didn't care about her passing. Oh but he really did. Lightpaw knew that. She told him she was sorry and commented how that must have been hard for him. Since then the two have formed a friendship, it was a rough start first, but now a friendship that was strong and true.

Thinking these thoughts and staring into that smile...he couldn't help but look away, feeling squeamish. Ugh what was wrong with him? He felt like the world was watching, judging.

It felt like an eternity before Lightpaw responded. She just said hi back, looking a bit shy. This just made Darkbird really shy too. Suddenly, she started leaning forward, this made Darkbird a bit flustered in his head and he leaned his face back a little bit in surprise. However, he then realized that she just wanted to touch noses, a normal and respectful greeting. He then quickly leaned his head forward again and touched her soft black nose with his own pink one. He hated doing the touching nose greeting and normally would not go it with other cats....but he made the acceptation for this time since it was Lightpaw....Cause they were friends and all.....As their noses touched he took this moment to look at her pretty face and to bathe in her lovely scent.

Then all of a sudden, Lightpaw pulled away, looking very embarrassed. Darkbird then realized that the nose touch had gone on much longer than it required. Some of the fur on his neck fluffed up from his own embarrassment, and he quickly looked away, trying to look calm and nonchalant. He wasn't one to express his emotions that well. Now that the greeting was over he didn't know what to do or say. So he decided to try and be his usual self.

".....I hate gatherings. Too many voices talking. I don't how you can stand to act all happy." he complained to her. Gatherings were noisy, and they were also places where other spirits gathered too. They were all talking at the same time, ugh so annoying. Even in death they don't shut up.

Clearpaw

|She-cat|10 moons|Apprentice|Mirageclan|Currently- Interacting|Location- Gathering|Feeling- Very nervous|Tags- Nightpaw|Word Count- 376 words, 2121 characters

When I was young, lying in the grass
I felt so safe in a warming bath
Of sunlight

Fast open sky could do no harm
Like an embrace of a mothers arms
In sunlight

Clearpaw was now at her first gathering....and it was worst than she had thought it would be. Cats were everywhere and she stood out. Was there anywhere she could hide or a place that was at least a bit more peaceful.Before she could respond, however, before she could, a cat suddenly approached her. It was one of the Bengal siblings, Nightpaw to be exact. Clearpaw froze like a deer locked in the gaze of headlights. The cat was smiling at her...but that could mean anything. For some animals smiling was a sign of aggression.

Clearpaw made sure to be cautious as the she-cat spoke to her. Spoke about how scary it was to be around strangers while Starclan watches you. Clearpaw wasn't sure what to say. Yes, it was scary to be surrounded by strangers. It was for her because Clearpaw just couldn't understand how cats work. If she was surround by strangers that were Mongooses or something than she wouldn't be scared. And Starclan...that was a tense subject for Clearpaw. Anything about the afterlife is. Due to being the animal lover that she is, she has always wanted to imagine that when they die they all go to the same place. She had many wild friends that were gone now. She wanted to go to the place that they were at. Did each kind of creature have their own afterlife. She didn't want to think that. She wanted to think that her now deceased sister was living with her now dead animal friends. Clearpaw didn't want Starclan to exist. She surly did not want the real Clearpaw to be looking down at her from Starclan.

Realizing that she was just staring at Nightpaw like a weirdo, she quickly shook her head and decided to smile back. It was a small, tight, and hesitant smile. She couldn't remember how cats greeted each other. Did they bow? Nibble on the others ear? Lick their face? Yip? Stomp on the ground? Snarl? She couldn't remember. So Clearpaw merely stood where she was, looking down at her paws, decided just looking dismissive was enough.

"Probably. But speculations and assumptions of how we ourselves work and everything else works only goes so far..." was her response back, her voice meek. She then went silent.

LIGHTPAW
°The Ray of Sunshine°
Shaking off her earlier embarrassment, Lightpaw glanced around as if she could actually see. As she did, she answered absentmindedly. “I like all of the commotion actually. There are so many scents and voices… it’s incredible really and most of these cats are friends anyway.” She explained, looking back at him. “I guess I am a bit different than most cats. I even got my power much later than is normal. My brothers and sisters got their powers moons before I got mine.” She stiffened slightly as a cat padded into view. The fact that she could see him at once announced him to be a Starclan warrior. They were everywhere in the clearing, not that any other cat that she knew of could see him. The aggressive look on Moonberry’s face surprised her though. Her mother had always looked so serene; now she looked like she wanted to rip Darkbird’s pelt off. Lightpaw glanced towards the tomcat but, of course, she couldn’t see him. She had never been around him at sunhigh so she had no clue what he even looked like. Moonberry sidled up beside her and their pelts mingled. To any cat watching, it would just look like wind pushing her fur flat on one side… even though there was no wind. Two more cats broke away from the group of Starry cats and headed their way; her father Goldenblaze and baby sister, Honeykit. Their aggression (except for Honeykit who just bounced around her paws) was clearly directed at Darkbird and she wondered idly if he could see them. He was, after all, a Medicine Cat.

“He can see us. He can also hear us.” Goldenblaze’s voice was like thunder itself and Lightpaw flinched and flattened her ears.

“He’s gifted, but in a different way than you are, Lightpaw.” Moonberry added with a flick of her tail.

“Why are you here?” Lightpaw asked, glancing between her parents.

“To make sure he understands the rules fully. You are still an apprentice; he has an apprentice of his own.” Moonberry explained matter-of-factly.

Lightpaw blinked, puzzled and glanced at Darkbird. “I’m sorry they’re being rude… I can make them go away if you want.” She offered, shooting a glare at her father.

NIGHTPAW
°The DayDreamer°
Nightpaw’s mouth fell open and no sound came out. She honestly had nothing, not one word to say to what she’d just said and it was only partially because she hadn’t even understood it! She glanced around then mumbled, “right well… Lightpaw says Starclan is really nice. She says they’re here right now, mingling among us but we can’t see them. Only Medicine Cats can.” She perked up at the end of the sentence and looked around, eyes sparking with curiosity. It was fascinating to think that Starclan might be here right now. That her mother, father, and sister were… she paused and stared at Lightpaw. She looked like she was having a conversation with Darkbird and some other cat… but only Darkbird was visible and she clearly wasn’t arguing with him! She had been mooning over him since they met! Snickering she nudged Clearpaw. “Lightpaw has a major crush on Darkbird and I think he likes her back.” She whispered.

      doepaw sat by herself, just watching the cats in the gathering. she noticed lightpaw was talking to darkbird. she sighed. even lightpaw could find friends here at the gathering. she curled her tail over her paws and just watched the apprentice with the medicine cat darkbird. he was always strange to her, as all medicine cats were. she noticed he liked lightpaw a lot. she sighed yet again. she hoped someone would come over to talk to her, because she was suddenly very shy and didn't want to approach anyone.

{Hello c: Joining c; Cinderpaw is in Illusionclan. c

Optical Illusion

Image
Image

name;;
"My name is Cinderpaw, for my black pelt, I would like my Warrior name to be Cinderflower."

rank;;
"Well, Apprentice of course! I would have thought, that my size, would give it away! " Her power is to be able to wander and speak in cat's thoughts and dreams. Her trigger is jealously.

age;;
"I'm Ten moons, almost ready to be a Warrior!"

gender;;
"Shall I bring you to the Medicine den to get your nose checked? I'm a female."

family;;
"Oh.. Their out there."

mate/crush;;
"Well, no. I don't think any Tom would want a Blind cat. So, I don't have a crush."

dislikes;;
"I do not dislike much, but I certainly do not enjoy being around annoying cats, and not being able to be a full Warrior is my worst nightmare. Some cats may have more dislikes, as every cat should, but I like to see the world to it's fullest, even in harsh time. Some may say, that my blindness has helped me see that way. I certainly think it's true.

personality;;
Cinderpaw is a gentle, intelligent and caring cat, with many worries. Honeslty, she would try to save any cat in trouble, if it was their time of need. May the cat be one of her clan mates, from a rival clan, rouge, even kittypet, she would try to help it. She even has a sweet spot for other animals. One time, she had found a injured Humming bird, which was too small to eat, and she brought it back and helped to save it. In one moon's time, it was well enough to fly again, so she let it go. Cinderpaw will not let her blindness get in her way. She was born with it, so having the loss of sight was only natural. Her sense of hearing and smell are quite defined, and you would probably find it tough to sneak up on her, and would probably get a scolding. Even though Cinderpaw is known for her sweet nature, she has a dry sense of humor, often joking when around grumpy cats to cheer them up. She may often use it when she's in a bad mood, talking sarcastically and having a short temper. Cinderpaw can also have a sharp tongue, when annoyed and pressured. Cinderpaw had always wanted to be a Warrior cat, ever sine she was dropped off in Marshclan. Even though, many cats said she couldn't do it, Cinderpaw won't let them control her life. Without her sight, it makes fighting other cats and animals difficult,. But, she's found out away. Don't let her blindness fool you, she could claw off your ears pretty well if she wanted to, but it's the fast movements that challenge her, even though she's almost mastered it. Cinderpaw is also very observant about other cat's feelings, and what they are thinking, what their about to do, and why they did it. She's very curious, and would like to know the behind stories about all cats, to judge what they might be feeling and what they might do. Some may call it a gift, while other a curse or fatal flaw. Cinderpaw can also be offended quite easily, especially if other cats judge her by her blindness. If a cat with normal sight can do it, she can do it too, except for fighting. She's a quite friendly cat, and won't hesitate to speak to any cat, if she believes they will be nice to her. She tends to avoid the grumpy cats, but she certainly won't leave them alone. Although Cinderpaw is willing to be friendly, she tends to keep to herself at times, and hasn't really made any close friends, besides her mentor. She also has a keen sense for Prey, and can find them as well as any other cat, maybe even better. She hopes, that she's a great Warrior cat, and that she's doing the right thing, but sometimes she lacks confidence in herself.

apperance;;
"Cats have told me, that I have a black pelt, with piercing green eyes that seem to haunt, even though I am blind. I have short to medium long hair, that's pretty all over the place. Honestly, when I don't groom it, I look like a black cloud. I'm not the tallest for my age, and my body build is quite small, and fragile, probably because I was the runt of the litter. Anyways, I do not have any scars, because I have never been in serious battle. I've only ever been in small fights. I have longish legs, normal size for my body, and a fluffy tail. I don't have a speck of color on me, except for black. I don't know how I got my black pelt, but I think it was my father's. I never asked him ... Okay, back to the point. My paw pads are grey and hard, perfect for walking along stone, and rough surfaces. My back legs are very powerful, and they give me great leaps when I want them. It also doesn't make them bad for climbing, but I haven't done much of it. I'd like to get better at climbing though, because I don't want my blindness to get in the way of things. Honestly, I think I might be able to do it If I try hard enough. I have pretty nice hearing, and sense of smell. Probably because I've been using only them, to substitute for my blindness. And If you think you can sneak up on me, you're in for your ears getting clawed! Well, I hope that filled you in on how I look. Thanks!

history;;
"Well, It's sort of sad, but I'll tell it anyways. Mind you, it's for your ears only, I've kept it secret.
I came here when I was about three or four moons. I was dropped off at the camp entrance. My mother was a Kittypet, and my father was a rouge. My father wanted my mother to live by the Rouge ways, or well what they do with kits. As you know, I'm blind, and being a rouge, being blind, just won't work. So, my father wanted me dead. He didn't mean bad, but it was just a custom he has been living with. Honestly, I can see their point. I wouldn't last long out there. But my mother didn't want me to die. She had heard of Mudclan, which wasn't too far away from where she lived. She knew that they would take care of me, and not let me die; she had seen them with the elders. So, she dropped me off here. My father was unsure on how it would go, but soon figured out that I would be fine, and that I didn't have to die. So, my story is bittersweet. Although, I had parents that didn't want me, out of love, they dropped me off here, which honestly, was the best thing they could ever do."
