Goldenstar awoke not but a few minutes later. She groaned lazily, and rolled irritably off of her comfortable spot to her side, stretching her limbs. She was quite cloudy minded, quite so that she was attemptigg to scan her own feelings. Goldenstar thought of the Gathering, making her body want to get up. Her mind, though, refused, while her body protested. Goldenstar groaned only once more before she walked through her den out into the gorgeous outdoors. She sensed a feeling- she scanned it. It was Silentpaw, she was lonely, and seemed.. Confused. Goldenstar cleared her mind, and thought again, this time shutting her eyes forcefully. She sensed.. Not confusion, rather discomfort. Goldenstar stalked over to the apprentice. "Hi Silentpaw.. How are you?" Goldenstar mewed. She sat next to the future medicine cat. Goldenstar could tell something was bothering her, quite greatly. "I can do anything for you, you know."

Silentpaw looked up at the sound of footsteps. She smiled softly at the sight of Goldenstar. She looked down when the question of what was wrong came up. "W-well.." She started unsure of what to say, unsure really of what was actually happening. "F-Flamesong, last night brought me somewhere.. To the- I think it was called the Mystic Hollows. A-and he gave me my power. And I don' know but I- I was about to eat the prey-" She added pointing her tail to the mouse in front of her. "U-until m-my neck started to hurt and I saw someone hunting a mouse and killing it, and then the pain just stopped.. It was also hard to breath after.." She said. "M-My power is to feel what other's feel.. Do you think this has anything to do with my power?" She asked, She knew she should of been talking to her mentor about this, but the Clan leader was just as wise as the medicine cat was, And she might know what was going on as well since she had once recieved a power of her own and learned how to control it.

Goldenstar took it all in. The little cat was probably frightened by her discovery of her power. "Silentpaw, do not be frightened. Yes, it is your power." Goldenstar paused before continuing. "Try to feel what I feel, or just eat the mouse. You will feel better. But I'm sad to say.. This power will be very tough to live with." Goldenstar looked at the cat, her expression full of pain and grieve. "Especially for you, young medicine cat. As you see the or feel the warriors you heal, you will feel their intense pain." Goldenstar felt she had no need to say more. She felt the cat's emotions, although she was already certain she was surprised worried, and fearful.

Silentpaw nodded softly listening to every word her leader spoke. Respect and eagerness in her clear blue eyes. She closed her eyes focussing on Goldenstar. She knew that she had to learn how to control her power soon. She placed her paw nervously on one of her leader's forepaws. She felt a wave of regret and pain, not physical this time but mental flood through her making her flinch back pulling her small grey paw away. "I-I felt it- y-your regret.. Your pain and grief.." She whispered, eyes wide with fear, shock and a slight bit of pride. She looked back at the mouse, all the physical pain left from the experience. She was surprised still and didn't know what to say. But she didn't know how this would help her. It would just slow down her pace to help her Clan wouldn't it? She just looked up at her leader smiling softly once more. "I wish I'll be as wise and smart as you one day." She remarked. But knew that would probably never happen, the leader was guided by StarClan and had the respect of every cat.

Goldenstar smiled at this compliment. "Silentpaw, trust me, I don't always make the right decision. I know how you feel- you're scared, nervous, more like to say. I was shocked when I found out I could scan other's feelings, and sometimes thoughts. I never could figure out thoughts, though, and so I only scan feelings. We're quite alike, with our powers." Goldenstar grinned again, and purred. "Aaah," She sighed. Goldenstar had nearly forgotten about the Gathering. "Have you seen Darkbird? If you won't be missed, I can take you out to help me wake up some others to call for a Clan meeting."

She smiled softy, happy she had a similarity with her leader. "Darkbird? Oh, he gave me the day to myself. I think I'll be okay for a bit." She smiled happy to be able to help. That was one of the reasons she became medicine cat apprentice. Not the main reason, but one of them. She finished her mouse quickly and stood up. She looked so small next to GoldenStar making her notice how fragile and weak probably thought she was. She was eager to learn the few defence moves she was forced to learn as a medicine cat. She had to be abe to defend herself if something happened. StarClan forbid anything did, but its just for her own good. She looked around the camp, noticing a lot of the warriors were still sleeping.

Goldenstar suddenly looked quite serious again. "That's good, a day off. You deserve a break, thank you for this help." The leader looked around. There weren't many people to wake up, only 4, and Darkbird. She sighed. "Silentpaw, we have a frighteningly small clan. Why must cats grow up so quickly?" She only paused for a split second, as if she were thinking. "You can go get Darkbird if you like, I'll wake the warriors. Goldenstar walked away, not waiting for any reply from the small apprentice. Her mind raced, searching for an answer to her one question- StarClan, will we ever get more cats? She padded over the the warriors' den, past the vacant den that would be the apprentices. "Clan meeting!" Goldenstar yelled twice. Once she heard groans and stretches, she pounced up to her rock, waiting to announce.

Silentpaw nodded walking towards her mentor. She paused beside him looking down not wanting to interrupt his conversation. "D-Darkbird?" She whispered looking up. "Sorry to interrupt but y- you are needed for a Clan meeting." She said, her voice soft and still shaken by the whole realization of her power. She looked back down again, at her small grey paws awaiting an answer from her mentor. Her mind once again started to wander about how she woud be abe to use her power to help others and not hurt herself. And how to stop it when needed like Flamesong told her she would have to. Her eyes grew distant as she continued to invision things that could happen.

I am on a phone rite now. Tomorrow I shall pm those not posting so that we can actually start the gathering but for now Phantomstar is heading to the gathering place with his clan.))

Phantomstar led his clan through the forest, crossing into Illusionclan territory without hesitation. The full moon hung high above the forest, glittering coldly in the starry sky. Reaching the gathering place he slipped through the thorny barrier and bounded up the hill. His gray body gleamed silver in the icy light. Lightpaw padded at his side followed closely by their clanmates.

doepaw trotted with no one in particular. she followed her leader phantomstar, who looked strong and proud. she smiled. she was glad mirageclan had such a great leader. doepaw looked around. she had been on this route a few times, as she was eleven moons old. nearly ready to be a warrior. the scent of other mirageclan cats were apparent, they used to crisscross this path to hunt or patrol. this clan might be small, but they were strong. night was falling, it was cool and welcoming. the forest changed during nightfall. she stiffened as they entered illusionclan territory. she relaxed slightly, noticed phantomstar crossed without hesitation. some might think the moon was cold, but doepaw embraced the cool night. it always got cooler during the night, drawing out most animals, who hid during the heat of the day.
