Ice laid curled up as best as she could under the dumpster. It was the best place for her if she wanted to stay out of the cold. She was not made for cold weather. Not only was her fur really short, it was all white, the worst color for retaining heat. However, as cold as she was, she refused to cuddle with other dogs, even the ones in her pack. She didn't like other dogs, it was the way she had been raised. The only reason she really joined this pack was because it represented safety and food. She wasn't too scared about threats, seeing as she used to fight in dog fight rings, but she had found it hard to get food on her own. Humans were scared of her because of her breed and appearance. Her pelt was covered in scars from her time in the ring. The best shot she had at food was with these dogs, so she decided to put up with them. Ice shivered in the cold, and soon, she poked her head out from under the dumpster to see if there was anything that could warm her up some.

ϟ Too shocked to say anything for a while, Finn just stayed beside Shakira, not saying anything for a while.
"I would have never imagined that." He glanced at her before turning away. Never imagined that? How dumb
can you get? Furious with himself, he looked at Shakira again with concern. "It doesn't show." Nudging her, he
wanted her to know that he cared. That he already thought of her as a friend. To try to cover up from what
he thought was a stupid response to her grim past, he asked her questions that were already answered. "And
so you're still with them." It was more of a statement, but it still need confirmation. Looking up, he wasn't exactly
sure which way to go. Deciding that they both could use some food, he glanced down several streets before
deciding which one he wanted to go down.

I smiled and relaxed a little, at least he cared. I shook my coat and made a left turn and made my way towards the park, my glossy coat soaking up the warm sunlight. I squinted a little and looked to Taren. "Yeah I have thought about leaving sometimes and doing my own thing...but the attack still haunts me," I say with a shiver, trying to look at him but my eyes caught the sun and I had to look away. "I want to ask you a question, Is your name actually Taren?" I asked with a light smile.

I started to laugh too, I must say Echo's laugh was quite contagious. I smiled and looked at her, and laughed again. I can't keep a straight face. "I was trying to get this rat that was so fat then it moved from where I had cornered it and I went straight in," I laughed, my eyes watering from the laughter.

ϟ Catching on that they were headed to the park, Finn glanced around, making sure that they were not
going to be interrupted by humans. He was thrown off guard by Shakira's question and he slowed down slightly,
taking the question in. "Maybe. Why do you ask?" His question still lingering, he glanced down at her. A small
frown had appeared on his face. Did he know her from somewhere? No. He always remembered dogs with blue
eyes. A leaf had fallen down a little farther down the path and Finn focused on that. Yet his mind was over thinking.
He had no clue why this bothered him. How this fae could possibly see through his lie. Could she?

Ice sighed as she looked around the alley and found nothing that could warm her up. She slowly crawled out from under the dumpster and shook out her short fur. Maybe some exercise would warm her up a little bit. She could go for chasing some squirrels and ducks in the park. Maybe she could even catch one, if she was lucky. She carefully started towards the park, staying in the shadows as much as possible to avoid the people's stares. Once she got to the park, she trotted away from the more popular areas, and found an isolated spot, away from the people. It wasn't too common to find any squirrels or ducks around here doing the winter, but Ice was hopeful. She lifted her nose and sniffed the air, hoping to catch a scent of a nearby squirrel or something, but instead she picked up a different scent, the one of the pack's lead fighter, a corgi named Houston. Curiously, she followed his scent, still shivering from the cold.

Houston glanced up and took a cursory look around the park. His eyes stopped at a familiar dog that was walking towards him. What's her name? Ice? He thought for a second, trying to recall the fighter's name. He was shivering slightly from the cold weather. He was used to hot weather and having the sun whip his back with the high temperatures and extreme heat. He thought the cold was nice occasionally, but being used to hot weather made it harder for him to adapt. "Howdy, Ice." He called out to her, his voice cracking from the cold.

"The name you gave me doesn't sound right...I don't know for a dog like you the name 'Taren' doesn't suit you in general," my voice drifted off. I knew someone who had the name Taren and they lied about their name, because it didn't suit their personatliy and them in general, so I questioned if he was trying to trick me that same. "Taren means 'thunder' and you don't seem to be alike with the name and it's meaning," I added, with a slightly serious expression.

Ice looked at Houston, noticing that he was shivering just she was. Maybe they had something in common. Although she wouldn't hurt someone in the pack, especially one with a higher rank than her, she was curious how a small corgi like Houston was able to get the lead fighter position. But it didn't matter to her, as she didn't think that she'd get the lead rank ever. She was just a bit too unpredictable for that. She padded up to Houston, and laid down in the snow. "Hey Houston. What are you doing out here?" she asked slightly depressed. She hated winter. She just couldn't take the cold well.

Houston smiled at Ice. She was a big, strong-looking female and he admired that. He had never looked very strong because of his size. His size was an advantage in fighting occasionally because Houston could easily maneuver around the legs of the animal he was fighting. "I's jus' sittin' out thinkin' a bit. What's you doin' out here, Ice?" Houston asked politely. He frowned for a second at the bad grammar he had, but his frown faded. He wondered what Ice thought of him and the way he spoke. He was afraid that she might think badly of him because of the way he spoke.
