Silver was awake long before the sun rose, but the sky was already a brilliant orange-pink by the time she forced herself to leave her den. The ground was covered in deep snow, which guaranteed difficult hunting, and a chilly wind swept through the surrounding land. She allowed herself a slight shiver before stepping even farther from the warmth of her den.
The den was at a perfect location. It was on the side of a cliff, low enough to escape the freezing cold at the top, but high enough for her to have an excellent view of the land below. Large rocks blocked most of the entrance, hiding the den from any passerby below. It faced the forest, away from the mountains, and thus the wind passed it by. The den was spacious and had a small pool in the back where water had dripped down from the ceiling.
Silver leaped down from her perch to another rock lower down, and from that rock leaped to another rock, and in such a fashion she reached the ground. Her first order of business would be to hunt. Then she could go for a run, or perhaps a swim. Silver smirked wolfishly. A nice swim in freezing water in the middle of winter. That was a fantastic idea.

An ear twitched as he heard the shrill voice commanding the hunters to ride. Mouse lifted his scruffy brown head, watching with golden-brown eyes as wolves and dogs grumbled to rise from their sleep. Mouse himself was not a part of the hunting patrol; his strengths lay in fighting, if his skinny body was any sort of testament to that.

But he was bored. There hadn't been any fights lately, and he had too much energy to continue lying around. He rose to his paws and stretched with a yawn. He padded outside, licking his lips hungrily. He had never hunted in a group before, but he figured it would be a good experience. With an emotionless expression, he made his way over to Mel. He didn't know if she would question the fact that he wasn't technically on hunting patrol, but he didn't really care, either.
If the fate of the Earth was in my hands....we'd all be doomed.
Hey look! A PENNY!

Mel || The One Who Seeks Her Own Profit Only || Double Agent || Currently In: Founding Camp || Female ||
I watched everyone get up, and counted heads. Eleven. There should have been ten, but I wasn't complaining: the more, the merrier.
"Right, the memo." My voice was loud as I repeated what the general had said yesterday. "There were reports of elk in the North-Eastern part of the territory, right near the border (thanks, Rosemary). We are going down there in hope of a good hunt, but remember, we are trying to AVOID conflict with the rebels! We don't want to give the healers more work than what they already have with the constant ORGANIZED battles. And, this time, we are going for the weaker prey, not seeing we can take a full deer down! Seriously, the moronic behavior better not happen this time. Everyone good?"
Again I was told to quit stressing, but otherwise the replies mainly consisted of a dull murmur of assent.
"Good." I turned, waving my tail tip, and trotted into the forest, not in the front of the group, but relatively near to the middle. Those with the best sense of smell went in front, instead.

Silver lifted her head and inhaled. There was a strong scent of deer not too far off, but the herd was on the border of pack territory and, frankly, one wolf was not enough to take a deer down. Rabbit scents crisscrossed the snow in front of her, tempting her to give chase. However, Silver was all-too aware of what a colossal waste of time and energy that would be. While she floundered through the snowdrifts, rabbis would simply bound on top of it. She thought back to the deer again. The taste of deer meat was delicious, and deer were on the smaller side of the spectrum anyways. Also, the recent snowstorm increased the chances of there being an injured deer among the herd. She sighed. It was worth a try, at least.

TWINE
THE_PACIFIST

Full Name;; Twine Windern
Age;; 9 and a half years.
Species;; Grey wolf
Gender;; Female
Appearance;; Small and petite, Twine is a sandy-brown female, with deep, honey-coloured eyes covered in cataracts. She's quite a flimsy thing, and a good thing too - if she had been taller and more muscular by nature, when she was younger she probably would have ended up fighting for one of the sides. She can easily be overpowered.
Personality;; Twine is a stereotypical kind old grandmother; kind, a little doddery and forgetful, perhaps, but a kind soul all the same. This is why she chose the profession as healer, when she was younger - she's very interested in the sciences of herbs and natural plants, and is always trying out new concoctions of things and trying to find more efficient ways of healing others. Twine’s been at the job of healer for years now, and because of this she is very knowledgeable about injuries, and which herbs to cure them with. Nothing can really shock this old wolf when it comes to saving lives; she’s seen it all in the nine or so years of which she’s practiced her craft.
Twine is also very patient, meaning she’s ideal for looking after pups and infants – two things which she loves. She is also, interestingly enough, a pacifist - she believes that disagreements can and should be ended with civil conversation, not war. She’s a good wolf to talk to and can make for some good conversation, although she doesn’t get some of the new fangled things these younger wolves seem to go on about – such as being “accepted” into a pack, for instance. In her day, one turned up, said hello to the dominant(s), and *bam* they were a member.
This isn’t to say that Twine is the model grandmother. She’s doddery with her hips and her legs and whatever else is hurting her at any given moment, and because of this she can sometimes snap at others. She’s also forgetful, often forgetting both faces and names; when you talk to her, you’ll have no idea if she’ll remember you the next day, or you’ll have to go through the “hello dearie who are you?” routine all over again.
This old healer may look quite batty at times, and often is, actually, with her old traditional ways and her habit of talking to herself and very occasionally talking to wolves that only she can see, but she's very observant. She understands a lot more than she sometimes lets on and shows to the world at large; maybe this mad old lady isn’t quite as mad as she’d have you believe. If she does speak to you, you'd do good to listen.
Crush;; He died a very long time ago.
Mate;; Who would have an old, half-blind she-wolf as a mate?
Family;; All dead.

Hope the form's alright!

Twine Windern -- Founding Pack -- The Pacifist Healer

The sandy brown female staggered out into the open, carrying in her jaws a selection of herbs: mint, honeysuckle, and a few others she had collected. Exhausted by her recent gathering foray, she dropped these into the little hollow where she stored her supplies, and than sat down, her sides heaving with the effort, her ribs clearly visible underneath the thin scrap of fur. If she hadn't had her nose to guide her towards the herbs, she wouldn't have been able to manage the small feat; she could only see shadows, grey, black and white mixing together to form a kalaidoscope of dull blurryness. But that wouldn't have stopped her bumping into something or falling, if a sudden drop or dip had revealed itself - she was incredibly vunerable, a reason why she stayed near the camp area, a place she knew by heart. With her luck, if she walked elsewhere, she would get into that enemy camp.
She snorted at this. Enemy camp, her paw! In her day, none of the packs were enemies, more like friendly rivals. None of this would ever have come about if.....
The female's thoughts were paused as she watched as the hunting party began to depart into the woods. She called after them. "Get some for me!" Her voice was cracked and broken, weak, even. She slumped to one side, exhausted.

Mouse smirked as Mel berated the group for previous actions. Though he didn't hunt often, he knew better than to go for the strong ones of a herd. It was a canine's job to root out the weaker prey in order for the strong to survive, he had been taught this as a pup. Rabbits were an exception to this rule, as they multiplied like no other, anyway.

He turned and glanced at the elderly healer as she called for them to bring her some food. He nodded in acknowledgment. Though he wasn't one to agree with taking care of the weak, he knew that Twine was imperative to the pack's health as their best healer. They needed her, especially with the increasing incidents of battle.

((Blah, let's make something happen 'cause I'm drawing a blank. ^^U))
If the fate of the Earth was in my hands....we'd all be doomed.
