Fire stayed where he was, flicking his tail. Licking his paw, he felt cold enter the cracks in the pads. Drawing it over his ear, Fire licked his nose. Tail flicking, he was surprised when Spider came over. "Why hello there Spider." He said in his 'charming' voice. Smiling sweetly, he crouched down on his paws again. Seeing a flash of silver, he got sidetracked. There were gold fish inside of the large pool from the waterfall! Flashing out a paw on instinct, his claws hooked on to scales. Excited, he pulled it ashore and killed it. Only now he remembered the she-cat. "Oops. Here, you take it." He said, shoving it gently towards her.

White paws trotted over the freshly dewed grass. They paused in front of the boulders."I hope I'm not late.." the cat whose paws brought him here whispered under his breath. As he passed in between the narrow entrance the boulders made, the tom fluffed his chest fur proudly. The first cat he spotted was the bright ginger tom beside the water fall, the leader, Fire. He was talking to Spider, being easily recognized by her black pelt and long legs. Not wanting to interrupt, the calico tom rocked back on his haunches and leapt atop a boulder. The tom looked down from his high chair and waited for Fire to be finished.

"Why hello there Spider." Fire meowed, in a pleasant voice. Spider hesitated with a swift lick around her lips. With a quick swipe of his unstealthed paw, the bright ginger tom in front of her revealed a goldfish, which now lay dead in front of herself, insisted for the black she-cat to have. Spider's mint green eyes looked down at the fish blankly. She feigned a smile as she lifted off her back side and took half a step closer to the goldfish to pick it up off the small wet puddle it lay dead in. The taste of goldfish was satisfying to her dry mouth. Before she left, she forgot to drink from her water bowl and hadn't realized how thirsty she was. She finished the goldfish in a few swift bites. "Thank you, Fire. the black she-cat meowed sweetly.

thank you fire, the she-cat said. Fire smiled sweetly back, turning towards the waterfall again. Nodding, the tom got ready to open his mouth for a reply. Seeing Rumor waiting, he briskly said," Why, your very welcome Spider." The orange tom stretched, seeing how proud his deputy looked with his chest puffed out. Chuckling, Fire started towards the tomcat. Seeing how he looked a bit.. well, shaken. Fire grinned, looking at Rumor. "Well well well Rumor, someone looks like he had a nice day." Fire smiled again, bunching up his muscles. Letting it go, he sprung up on the boulder. Sitting down with his tail around his paws, the bright orange tom's emerald green eyes scanned the calico.

"Well well well Rumor, someone looks like he had a nice day." Rumors ears flicked to the sound of Fire's voice. The ginger tom sprung atop the boulder too. "Ha, yes Fire, I believe I won yet another battle with my twoleg about the claw cutter. It's been moons since he had won." he replied, nodding his head with respect to his leader. Rumor examined Fire ripple his muscles but didn't dare to challenge back. "What's on todays agenda?" the deputy asked, before Fire could say anything back to Rumor's short morning story.

The long-limbed she-cat looked over to where her leader was heading to. Her nose twitched as the scent of a familiar scent, on the tip of her tongue but she couldn't remember. It was a calico tom. Examining the tom, she assumed he hadn't gone to the cutter by how confident and proud he looked. Listening to what Fire meowed, she heard the name Rumor and instantly remember that was the calico toms name.

Ha, yes Fire, I believe I won yet another battle with my twoleg about the claw cutter. It's been moons since he had won. The tom had said to the leader. Fire smiled gently at the story. Opening his mouth to speak, he closed it as Rumor ran on. What's on today's agenda? he asked him. Fire said," Well, I was going to say you should let him cut your claws every now and then. Personally, I get tired sometimes they're so long. My folk let me keep them a reasonable length, but not too long." The orange tomcat said. Licking his nose, he comfortably lay on the big boulder. "Today's agenda? Well, the usual. I was maybe thinking..." The tomcat was alert for eaves droppers now. Whispering into his trusting deputy's ears," To raid Old Folk Johnny." 'Old folk Johnny' was the codeword for a house over across Fire's. The person had many cats, all trapped inside. Fire was hoping to free them.

"Well, I was going to say you should let him cut your claws every now and then. Personally, I get tired sometimes they're so long. My folk let me keep them a reasonable length, but not too long." his leader meowed to him. In disagreement, Rumor lifted his right unstealthed paw and gave it a few licks. He gently set his paw down as Fire parted his jaws to speak. "Today's agenda? Well, the usual. I was maybe thinking..." the bright ginger tom began, scooting a bit closer to Rumor. "To rail Old Folk Johnny." a devious smile formed upon the calico toms mouth, thinking of how angered their jaile- I mean twoleg folk would be when he saw the Flaming. "Oh, this will be fun... Do you know how many cats exactly?" Rumor asked quiet-like.

Oh, this will be fun.. Do you know how many cats exactly? Rumor asked him. Fire stretched, gaze meeting Spider's for a split moment. Fire then sat up, pushing his gaze away. How many were there, really? Tail waving, he glanced at Smoky. "Smoky! Can you go and keep Spider company? I have to go with Rumor for something.. Special." The she-cat he was staring at, at that moment stopped, and stared. Then, she said," Special... Well, okay Fire." The tom watched as she greeted her a moment, before nodding at Rumor. " Lets go find out." Fire grinned half-heartedly. Trotting away from the camp, he pushed soft soil away, thrusting himself back up the tunnel. One pawstep, two paw steps, three, four, five... After a long walk, he reached the boulders. Ears alert, he started towards Old Johnny's house.

"Let's go find out." the ginger tom meowed, as he leapt down from the rock back onto dry ground and padded through the camp entrance. Rumor's yellow-ish eyes tracked his leader through the dim tunnel. Springing from above after the ginger tom, the calico tom crept swiftly after Fire, his outgrown claws already unstealthed. He was thirsty for twoleg blood, since he hadn't gotten enough from his twoleg this dawn. Purring at the thought the calico quickened his pace, wanting to get to Old Johnny's house as his paws could. From stalking to now a quick trot, Rumor was almost ahead of Fire, the target house already in sight. Rumor tapped his calico tail on the ginger toms next to him's back. "I'll circle around.." he hissed in between steady breaths.

"Smoky! Can you go and keep Spider company? I have to go with Rumor for something.. Special." Fire had called to Smoky before trotting through the narrow camp entrance. "That's mouse dung.." the black she cat hissed under her breath, half to herself and half to Smoky, who wasn't too far away. "If it was special, why do you think their hiding it from us?" the she-cat meowed, turning to the blue-eyed she-cat near her.
