Till everything's fading
Zbigniew was still in a bit of a daze, staring into nothing as his mind raced around in his head, not knowing what to do. He thought he heard Odin calling from afar, but the fox couldn't be sure. Everything hurt. Mainly the shoulder he landed on. It made it very hard to even just breathe from the pain. Panic was starting to rise in him almost unconsciously. It was from the helpless feeling of being a lifeless body that couldn't move. Zbigniew tried his best to calm down, thankfully the shock was fading so he was able to fight the panic down to a low level.
Come on Zbigniew...you've been through worst...
Zbigniew then heard Odin's voice again, this time it was louder, clearer....above him? With much effort, Zbigniew slowly lifted his head. The pain was excruciating, it felt like tiny sharp fangs were in his flesh, twisting and turning. But Zbigniew was able to turn his head far enough to see Odin above him, looking down and worried. Being in the presence of another fox immediately helped Zbigniew to store his fear back completely. This was merely by instinct for him. Zbigniew always acted happy and carefree around others, even when he was actually far from the feeling inside. This situation was no different to Zbigniew's instinct. He gave Odin a smile just like he normally does each day.
"...Hey Odin. Sorry for worrying you...It's only the beginning of the day and I'm already off to a rocky start. Guess it's not Fall anymore huh?" he said in a hoarse voice, saying each word slowly and taking breaks as he spoke. His last two sentences were suppose to be jokes. However, as usual, his jokes were bad and didn't make much sense.
While we're in this situation, let's quickly go over Zbigniew's relationship with Odin. Zbigniew was here way before Odin and though many were (and some still), intimidated by Odin's appearance, Zbigniew wasn't fazed at all and from the moment he arrived Zbigniew would chatter and follow him around. In his opinion, it seemed like at first it kinda irritated Odin quite a lot, but it seemed to fox grew use to his presence and energy. He and Odin also are both hunters/fighters. Often the two got paired up together for hunts and such. It was very hard to work with each other at first, the two just weren't in sync. But as time passed, the two could read each other better and because of this more food was brought back to the skulk and they proved to have good teamwork when it comes to fighting. It didn't mean the two were a perfect combination, but they were pretty good. Zbigniew thinks of Odin as a very good friend, a little brother of sorts. Odin reminded him of his only brother that survived from his childhood. He loved that brother very much. Of course he's never said this to Odin or to anyone else for that matter. Anyways, Zbigniew is protective of Odin and is always willing to do a favor for the reynard and to have his back and to support him. He can't speak for how Odin see's their relationship but this was what it was like for Zbigniew.
Back to reality, Zbigniew has finally calm down completely. He cast another glance at Odin to see how he was doing. The fox was indeed panicking. Zbigniew decided it was time to take control and to guide the fox.
"...Look, Odin...I need you to take a deep breath and calm down. Calm down and listen okay? Look me in the eye. Focus." He said to him, his voice was very calm and he seemed to have quite a serious look on his face and he was no longer smiling. Even the carefree Zbigniew could be serious. What Zbigniew had that Odin didn't was experience. When you get to his age you will have gone through many scary ordeals. You learn how to take them calmly and think rationally.
