Phoenix thought about this for a while, lapsing in to a brief silence as she, once again, tilted her head to one side a little, considering her answer. It would be easier and far more logical to target the weaker and smaller animal, but at the same time, the idea of giving the buck a little 'payback' set a little excitement in to her mind. "Well, how about, if you boys agree, we go for the doe first, and then once we're done with her, we can perhaps find the buck afterwards?" The sound of revenge was appealing to her at the moment, and, although she was unaware of this, a bruise was forming on her shoulder under her thick fur from where the buck had rammed her down with his antlers. But she wanted to put the pack's needs ahead of her desires. She saw every pack member as family - perhaps you could even go as far as to say that she saw Ghost and Archiriant as her brothers in a way. Once the plan was set, Phoenix trotted off to the right, bringing her pace up to a steady run. "Archiriant, take the left. Ghost, take centre. We are going to target the weak doe."

      Dixon.

Dixon walked into camp carrying a pair of winter pheasants, the grey plumage dragging on the ground as he walked. He entered camp, setting the birds down on the prey pile. The big brute walked over to Ghost and Phoenix. He bowed his head slightly as he approached the Alpha. "Phoenix, they prey pile is getting low again. I've noticed more activity from the other predators too, especially bears near the river." He reported, his eyes flashing occasionally to Ghost. He watched as the two left to go hunt, Dixon himself returning to his den. He laid outside, resting.

Ghost

Ghost nodded as their plan was set. Two caribou would be more than enough for the pack. If they could bring down both that is. "Sounds like a good plan. Let's put it to action." he said with a nod as Phoenix told him to take the center. The center was an important role in a group hunt he had learned. He had to keep the herd moving forward while the two wolves on the sides separated out the selected caribou. He moved into position, crawling on his belly as to not startle the herd until the others were in place as well. His coat blended well into the snow, as if he wasn't even there, and he waited and watched as the others made their way to their spots as well.If everything went according to plan, they'd be feasting tonight.

Velvela

Velvela stalked the herd of caribou from a considerable distance. She knew that Ghost Pack was tracking this particular herd and she saw that as a chance to get her own caribou in the herd's confusion. Although she kept her distance from both the pack and the herd, it was hard to stay hidden. Her pitch black fur didn't exactly blend into the snow very well, but this was a good opportunity. As a loner, the chance at caribou or deer was slim since it normally took a pack to bring down prey that size. She watched from a distance as the three pack wolves prepared themselves for the hunt. If she was lucky she might be able to snag a fawn, or even a doe in all the chaos.

reαdy or ɴoт, нere ι coмe

Colpa watched as he came closer, and she stood up a bit taller. Her muscles relaxed, and her tail began to flick through the air. Taking a step forward at his sentence, she tilted her head. A chuckle. What was that supposed to mean? She huffed through her nose, lifting another paw and placing it barely a step closer. Every move she made was exact. It wasn't so much aggressive as it was challenging. Her ears were slightly pinned, her attempt to show some submission. "As are you," she said after a moment. It was difficult for her to speak quickly. It always took her a beat to compose her answers, and say them in the manner she wanted. "Don't believe I've seen you around here before." Her voice was rusty from little use lately, but after a while, it got back to its normal tone and volume. A whisper was her natural tone, but it became quite powerful when she was angered. Luckily, he hadn't made any wrong moves yet. The chuckle made her a bit irritated, but she sensed it wasn't in a foul mood. Colpa smirked slightly. "What's your name, Brute?" The female lowered her head, flicking an ear. She was stalling with this question, trying to decide whether or not to follow out with the plan she had in mind.

    archriant
Archriant did as he was told, following the order promptly. He collected himself up into a run, steering himself off to the right parallel to Pheonix. He made a mental note in his mind to sniff out any weakness or illness, seeing as his alpha mentioned the doe they were looking for was a little under the weather. He slowed a little, conserving energy he knew he'd be needing in a few short minutes.

Unfortunately, Archriant was at a disadvantage. Unlike Pheonix and Ghost, he wasn't blessed with beautiful and flawless white fur. His shaggy and multicoloured brown pelt stuck out like a sore thumb and the caribou would have had to be dumber than rocks to miss his presence. He thought the scenario over quickly and concluded his speed would counteract the disadvantage.

    decimus
He swiveled his ears the slightest before he took his own couple of steps forward, now standing at about 5 feet away. Decimus gave his own little smirk as a response, his good eye squinting the slightest due to the harshness of the sun. "Why not tell me yours, first? After all, doesn't the saying go 'ladies first'? Or am I simply uninformed?"

Decimus settled himself down so he was sitting. No. This fae most definitely wasn't form a pack. She's much too small, much too independent. Not to mention she has her own scent to her and not just one collective scent made up of other scents like the members do. Perhaps she was a loner as well? The possibility was likely, but in the condition she appeared to be in, Decimus was shocked she was still surviving. Perhaps he should be a gentlemen. After all, he did see a herd of caribou an hour prior.

      Dragon.

The dark brute weaved through the trees like a shadow. He had managed to slip out of camp without a hassle from any other pack members when he came across a scent. It was interesting, curious, and sweet. It smelled like that of a beautiful hawthorne flower in winter. He followed the trail to a female. Of course, what else. He thought pleasantly. His smirk turned sour when he caught a whiff of a brute with her. But Dragon was never one to back off just in the presence of another brute. He stepped out of the bushed with a disarming smile. "Hello. I'm Dragon. Who are you two?" He asked. To be honest, he wasn't at all interested in the brute. There were plenty of them giving him trouble back in the pack. females were much more accepting, and also more deserving of his time.

Phoenix watched as the two brutes moved in to position, then she gradually brought up her pace to a swift running one. Phase two - catch up to the herd. Making sure that the boys could keep up, Phoenix continued at this pace, then suddenly she shot off at almost full speed after the herd. The feeling of the cold morning wind against her body made this all the more enjoyable and relaxed, but she remembered that this was a matter of teamwork. She called over her shoulder to Ghost and Archiriant, "come on you two! They're not far now!" Which was true, because she could already see the outlines of the caribou standing on a hill not too far away.

    archriant
Archriant was quick to keep pace, his tongue lolling out the side of his mouth and delight. He was in near full-sprint, the frigid air sending ripples of excitement through his body. His eyes caught sight of the herd and almost immediately a knot of excitement formed inside the deepest pits of his insides. Oh, god, how he loved this.

He kept an eye on Pheonix. Had he not been careful, he may accidentally get too caught up in the moment and completely bolt ahead of her or drain all of his energy. He was conscientious of her movements, as well as Ghost's who was taking up behind them in his own position. Archriant glanced forward momentarily, awaiting further instruction if it were to be given. Otherwise, he knew what to do.

    decimus
Decimus's fur bristled and he moved himself away from the other brute. Eyes turning cold, he cast a glare Dragon's way and sized him up. He didn't look like much, at least not to Decimus's standards. However, the scent of other wolves was thickly embedded onto Dragon's frame and it made him slightly anxious. Decimus wasn't sure whether he'd report seeing himself and this fae, and if he did, what would happen?

For now, he decided to ignore him physically, but he kept his good eye flickering to him on occasion. He kept his head high and ears perked, tail twitching the slightest bit. He had little patience for other brutes and, besides, he was here first.
