    Phoenix stood intently watching the caribou flee, but she couldn't dismiss the little smile that came over her as she heard two members of the pack running in her direction. She identified the scents of the wolves as a stronger wind picked up, moving their scents in her direction - Archirant, the hunter, and Ghost, the warrior. After just a few minutes, Ghost was already at her side, and she nodded to him, retaining the friendly smile on her face. It was strange, in her opinion, to see other wolves acting submissively towards her, but she was the dominant wolf in the pack, so not much could be done about this. She giggled quietly and looked away, back towards the caribou, shifting one paw with a noticeably casual demanor about her. "I'm alright, Ghost. Don't you worry about me." The alpha female decided that she should explain her situation to Ghost, and she returned her amber gaze back to his. "I just had a friendly disagreement with the caribou over there."

{{ Yay! More friends! ^^
Guys, I'd like to apologize if I get some wolf behaviors wrong. I'm not a pro expert at roleplaying wolves - in fact, this is round about only my 5th time. So again, I'd like to apologize in advance if I goof. ;w;

    archriant
    It wasn't long before the hunter padded up to the other two members of his pack, ears pinned in the same manner as Ghost's. Archriant caught wind of their conversation, Ghost having asked his question and Pheonix answering it casually. The male turned his head towards the direction of the herd, his ears suddenly pointing forward.

    "Want a little bit o' help?" he chirped casually, brown eyes flickering towards Pheonix. "We could help settle said disagreement in a few quick seconds. Right, Ghost?" He turned his head this time to look at the latter, his eyes light and playful. He was practically bouncing on his toes despite how tired he had felt just moments earlier.

    Phoenix allowed a mischevious expression to overcome her as she lowered her head, wagging her tail slightly. "Good morning, Archirant." She greeted the hunter, glancing at him with a wry smirk. Hunting was usually a life or death task with many difficulties, which resulted in injuries and hunger if the hunt failed, but...The pack had eaten recently anyway, so it was not a huge loss to lose this time. But still, her sense of duty to her pack pushed her to try to hunt alone to reward the pack members whenever possible. Most of them had rough pasts that they were trying to escape, and Phoenix was willing to see each wolf as an individual with emotions, not just a dark backstory. Sure, nothing gets forgiven or forgotten, but there are times where redemption is possible. The alpha female started off on a light trot to keep up with the herd of caribou, keeping her ears pricked up. "I need all the help I can get, boys." She added over her shoulder with a lively glint to her eyes.

{why thank you. :3}

reαdy or ɴoт, нere ι coмe

The tan female known as Colpa raised her head at the sound of a howl. Her bones ached from scarce food, and her mind swirled from little rest. The femme carefully stood, her ears flicking towards the area the faint howl had come from. It was disgustingly familiar. Her lips curled in hatred, yet her paws carried her closer to the wolf it belonged to. For where they were, there was sure to be food. And having not eaten in days, a stolen meal, fresh or rotten, sounded delicious right now. Her nose twitched, the glands sorting through the scents. She couldn't tell whether or not she was in their territory or not. There were faint traces of others, but none were familiar enough for her to pinpoint whether or not it was a pack member. Nervous, Colpa raised her head, ears pricked. Trying to pick up a sound, her back paw lifted off the ground. It may have been seen an odd motion if one didn't know she was lame in that paw.

Sensing the coast was somewhat clear, the female continued on, hoping they'd leave some sort of scrap behind. Maybe a limb would fall off. Even a mere ear to gnaw on would satisfy her. Trying to be as silent as possible, she crept forward, still a way's away from the territory line. She didn't want to intrude, or get caught by any on patrol. She knew it was dangerous, entering pack territory. But she figured the majority would be out hunting with their master. Maybe if she sneaked up from behind, she could steal a rat from the old kills the pack sometimes had lying around. Stopping at the territory line, she wondered how good of an idea this was. Her fur bristled and her body tensed, unsure.

Ghost

Ghost nodded in relief when Phoenix said she was fine. She was very relaxed for an alpha, from what he could remember from his pup days. He did think that it was a good quality to have. A pack that gets along works well as a team. His red eyes flicked over to Archriant, who seemed to be very excited about what was going on. They couldn't let the herd get too far away, and they were pretty hungry. He nodded with a more serious expression and watched as Phoenix trotted after the herd. Being a bit smaller, Ghost had some great speed, and would surely help with separating the herd up. He soon followed after his alpha at a slow jog. "What's the plan?" he asked curiously.

(Sorry for the shortness, I'm in band practice. And again, I'll try to have Vel up soon, but at the moment this is all I have time for.)

    Phoenix seemed to think her 'plan' over as she cocked her head to one side. Her previous hunting attempt had gone wrong because she was alone and outnumbered, not because of her tactics. She decided to go with the old wolf way of hunting now that she had two friends by her side. "Well, as usual, we need to separate the herd and watch each caribou for weaknesses," she began, looking over at Ghost with a similarly serious expression, "and when we find one that is weak, we chase it down until we can kill it." It was as if she had recited this plan many times before, for she had. "I have been on this herd's trail since last night, so the caribou should be tiring by now." She added with a determined smile. "One of the does in the herd is weak, and she was the one that I went for, but a buck came along and...Well, we had our little debate."

    archriant
    Archriant was quick to follow, however he kept a short distance behind his alpha as a sign of respect. He glanced momentarily at her, thinking over just what her wry expression could have meant. Deciding not to think too hard on it, his eyes darted to Ghost as the wolf began to spoke. Plan. Right. They needed one of those. It wasn't long before Pheonix provided it, Archriant listening to it with half interest. It wasn't exactly that he didn't care, he just had the same plan in mind. Minus the doe part, of course.

    "Well, that's certainly an issue," he chirped lightly, following the scent of the herd now. He swiveled his ears the slightest, mucus beginning to collect on his nose. He licked it off absentmindedly. "Sounds good, though. Do we want to go for the doe, or should we maybe give that buck a little bit of payback?"

    decimus
    The demon stalked along the tundra in silence, a war raging on in his head. His eyes stared down at the snow and eyes underneath his frigid paws, his nails grating lightly against its cold exterior. A howl had sounded through the air, making his ears perk up and he lifted his head to the air. The brute stared at the looming white sky, in the direction of the noise. Oh, he knew that sound. A signal. Someone was requesting their pack.

    Decimus' fur bristled. The only pack he knew to have territory in these parts was his former pack, Ghost pack. He made sure, too. There were no other territories looming nearby from what he could tell. He wouldn't admit it, but the fact brought him a little bit of sadness. There would be no second chance.

    Something else caught his attention suddenly. A scent. A different scent. Not one belonging to Ghost pack - or at least, not one he remembered. His eyes glinting, Decimus ran his tongue over his yellowed fangs thoughtfully. To follow, or not to follow? It was certainly a question that made him think, and the answer didn't come right away. Well, he had nothing better to do, right? Right. So, why not? With a short chuckle, he lifted his head up and broke into a trot.

reαdy or ɴoт, нere ι coмe

The female heard a faint sound from behind her. She looked below her, to the pawprints she left in the snow. Anybody could easily track her. The thought made her a bit uneasy, yet nobody had ever done it before, so she wasn't too afraid. Her brown pelt stood out in the snowy land, but she usually stuck to the forested areas. It was easier for her to blend in there. But now, in this land, it was fairly bare. She heaved a sigh, ears erect as they strained to hear something.

The faintest scent reached her nostrils. Flaring them, she took a couple steps away from the territory. If she were to get into a scrap, she didn't want to get caught injured and in pack lands. Her paws scraped across the snow, and she lowered her head. She thought she saw a flash of something to her right, and lowered herself to the ground. Her shoulder twitched with excitement. Never before had she seen this wolf. It was a couple hundred feet away, but she could make it out well enough to know it was not a pack wolf. Slowly rising, she crawled forward. She wasn't one to go up to somebody at random, but her stomach begged for food. And food could be gotten with a splash of alliance, and a dabble of manipulation.

{{I'm off to work!
So you guys in a smidgen~ ouo
}}

    decimus
    A figure loomed about a 100 feet away from where Decimus was cantering. He slowed to a walk, his head raised as well as ears. He stared the figure down as they came into focus; a skinny little wolf who appeared to be tan, black, and grey in colouring. What an odd little combination, he thought.

    Decimus stopped some 15 feet away, his brown eye glittering while the sightless one stared into her with an eerie sort of blankness to it. He was quiet for several minutes, sizing her up and surveying her looks. Nothing extravagant, but nothing quite ugly, either. Simply average. Smaller, though, but there was something about her that suggested he shouldn't mess with her none too quickly. She certainly wasn't part of Ghost pack, since she wasn't even in their territories. In fact, she looked rather uncomfortable where she was.

    "Well you're a new face," was all Decimus could muster up before he let out a little snicker. It wasn't mocking her, it was simply him laughing at his own awkwardness. It'd definitely been a while since he'd been around another.
