I smile as Midnight takes a mouthful of the hare. I was glad that i could persuade her to eat something. Although she didn't seem very happy about it. I then see Shawano's arrival and i smile. I look at the prey he had caught and i was glad he had caught something. As we were really low.I then watch midnight walk out of the cave and the snow came in. I sigh as i knew it was going to be a blizzard. I sigh and flattened my ears as we couldn't go hunting. And i sure Rapture wasn't pleased by that. But at least she could go out tomorrow. I turn my head and watch Rapture kick dirt over the prey. I smile and give a small nod to her. A shiver runs up my spine. As the bitterness of the wind was soon reaching where i was sitting. I sigh and stand up padding to a corner of the cave. I lay down and curl myself up trying to keep warm. I lay my tail over my nose.

"Still no sign of any deer or elk, though," Shawano replied with a sigh. "I know they've probably moved on for the winter, but I was hoping there would be a straggler or something." He yawned. "Still, can't be helped. We'll just do our best with what we can." He watched a snowflake drift by, narrowing his eyes. While snow helped slow prey down, it also brought more cold. Sometimes the thick coats just weren't enough. A glance at the sky told him that dark clouds were brewing; they were going to be in for some rough weather.

He watched Midnight get up to go for another hunt. "Be careful," he warned, though he knew she would be even without his saying. He glanced at Rapture, knowing she would be disappointed at missing a chance to hunt. "Don't worry, young one," he said. "There will be plenty more chances. Besides; we will need wolves here to guard and keep the cave warm. We don't want anyone stealing our catches!"
