Seagulls crowed above the tawny colored sea lion, annoying her. They did this every day, every second. The cow was willing to kill every single seagull near her pods territory, that is, if she could fly. Which unfortunately she couldn't, no matter how hard she tried. Her autumn eyes lit up with life as she yawned awake from her interloped slumber. A seagull landed on her back, as if it knew how much she hated it. Unless it though she was a rock. A tawny rock. The seagull called right in her ear flap."You! You flying alarm, do you want me to eat your family? Because that's what I am about to do if you don't shut your traps!" Sunshine barked, snapping at the agile seagull's webbed flippers as she flexed her head on her back. Swinging her head back around, she looked to see if she woke the lead cow, Smoky, but she seemed to still be sleeping or sunning. Sunshine couldn't tell. She flopped forward, towards the coast line, her stomach letting out a roar of hunger. "What are we going to do...?" she wondered, mumbling to herself. Not even daring to hunt alone, Sunshine decided to roll around in the shallows.

Caboose let out a few territorial barks to his pod, announcing the start of the day. He glared at the one pod member in sight, Zodiac, who seemed to been in a deep slumber. The lead bull just rolled his eyes and barked once more, hoping to wake up the snoozing subordinate. Caboose remembers when Zodiac was still a young pup, even though he was young himself, even considering him as a friend maybe. The dark bull shook of the thought and slid on his belly, already scarred from the jagged rocks that made up camp. Tilting his head, he saw Zodiac flinch."Go hunt. Sleeping isn't productive." Caboose demanded of the subordinate.

The husky voice of the lead bull echoed in Zodiac's ear. "Go hunt. Sleeping isn't productive." Caboose ordered Zodiac."A-alone?" Zodiac questioned. Lead bull snorted and nodded, then flopped away to a nearby rock to sun. The dark brown bull sighed, even though his hunger roared in his small belly, he didn't feel like hunting first think when waking was to hunt. To be honest, Zodiac wasn't the most sea lion in the world. Probably somewhere in the worst five. He slid down the rock he was napping on and used his flippers to enter the relaxing ocean. "To Coast territory." Zodiac murmured, hoping Caboose didn't hear. Caboose hated how his pod almost always hunted in Coast territory, but the were no other choices. The bull took a few deep breaths and entered the great blue.

Smoky lay in the sunshine, happily. Basking in the light, she ignored the annoying seagulls. It was all she could do, for its not like she could fly! She started to get up, but decided against it. Maybe she could enjoy the sun just a little itty bitty bit longer. Shaking herself, she watched Sunlight with one eye. " Stop whining Sun. Wanna get your mind off things and go hunting? I bet those Rockies are in our territory again for some stupid reason. Staying where she was a moment, she started to flap herself to the edge. Not waiting for a direct reply, Smoky leaped back head first. Eyes opening wide, she saw fish swim in all directions.

The playful cow was doing small flips under the safety of the shallows. The weather today was warm, as it usually on the island. As she glided around in the ocean, she saw what seemed to be another sea lion. The tawny colored cow twisted her head towards Nyveve, who was playing with a seashell closer to shore. She was fairly young sea lion, considering that she was still in training. "Hey, Nyveve!" Sunshine called cheerfully to the trainee. "Would you like to train around the shallows? We could work on hunting, if you'd like." the cow slid her way to Nyveve with a joyous smile. Behind her, she could hear Smoky's voice. "Stop whining Sun. Wanna get your mind off things and go hunting? I bet those Rockies are in our territory again for some stupid reason." she heard her say. "Oh, yes Smoky, I was just asking Nyveve if she would like to train." she barked, facing Smoky.

With a loud huff, Caboose rolled comfortably on the jagged rock he was atop. In the corner of his eye he could see Zodiac sliding into the blue ocean to go hunting, as he commanded. The lead bull chuckled. He was most defiantly the most well fed sea lion in the pod, but he didn't brag, most of the time. The strongest sea lion in the pod needed to eat, right? The warm sun rays of morning relaxed Caboose and he drifted into sleep.

The dark sea lion was gliding easily in Rocky Territory. There wasn't a fish in sight, nor any scents of predators though, which was good. I guess there's no choice but Coastal.. Zodiac thought unhappily. He explored deeper into the ocean, as it got darker. Minutes passed as he arrived into Costal territory. He slowed his swim and breached for air. Seeing Coastal's, dipped his head back into the water. He needed to locate their deep fishing, or whatever they called it. Out of no where, a small school of fish dashed in front of his eyes, teasing him. Zodiac widen his dark eyes, as if it would help him see any better. The shine of sardine scales lit up a small portion in front of him. Swimming in circles around him, they bolted in different directions. A single sardine made the wrong move and was separated. By instinct, Zodiac glided towards it, snagging the now dead fish in his jaws. The dark sea lion always ate the first fish he caught, even though if Caboose found out, he would be punished harshly.
