Roxy plopped out of the
trash.She headed down the street, and
into another another alley.
She searched for other pack mates.
She hadn't really saw anyone all day.
"Hello.....?" she howled.

Feather heard another dog, it yowled and made her jump. Feather crept out of behind a pile of boxes and human rubbish. "...Hello." She squeaked in a very small voice.

[Alkene]

"W-well," she began, already fumbling her words awkwardly. She looked away from him, feeling as if he could hear her heartbeat and feel the heat radiating off her pelt.

"Um, t-there is a k-kina meeting a-about...t-two nights from now... a-and, um," She stopped again, her words fumbling. She was unsure how to continue answering.

'S-stop staring at me like that...," She thought embarrassed. His hard and piercing gaze always scared her yet filled her with a strange warmth. She willed herself on, knowing that's what Baron would have wanted her to do anyways.

"A-And, I-I would, um, likeforyoutogowithme...," she finished quickly, her voice barely a whisper. She didn't know if he would catch what she said, but she was unprepared for how hard it would be for her to ask him to go to the singer's night.

She breathed in, and began to hold her breath unknowingly, waiting for his reply.

Baron listened to her, almost amused as to how she tripped over her own words. He contained it though and smiled reassuringly. When she began whispering quietly, his ears perked up in order to catch every word she spoke. "A meeting?" he repeated, unsure on how to respond. She knew quite well that he didn't like socializing with other dogs, especially in large groups. It just wasn't him. He had never thought of himself fitting in with other strays. "Give me a night to think about it."
